  • mythbusters proved that it wasn't possible. :\

  • @tagaratzu You are wrong .. The show you speak of is online they had a problem breaking the glass with their speaker(crappy speaker doesn't produce pure sound in my opinion) but they could make the glass vibrate with the speaker but they did break the glass using a professional singer voice.. Here is the show watch?v=3SuQRnZtYU4&feature=related or just search Myth Busters glass shattered by sound. You have to watch it from the whole thing..

  • @tagaratzu From what I could see you have to be able to produce pure good quality sound to cause the effect of breaking the glass. I just think their speaker on their show were too crappy to break it but it did shake the glass very hard.. To me Myth Busters lost a lot of respect from me by calling this a Myth .. People have been performing this even in high school for their students in some countries.. Cheers

  • wΩw!

  • this also happens when you work too much and get no sleep

  • It's OVER 9000!!!

  • it practically exploded~

  • hello, how did you guys find the exact frequence of the glass?

    Thanks a lot

  • @younggbeatmaker With The frequence or the mucic ''Note'' that you need to shatter a glass with your voice or with a sound is the same exact sound that the glass produce when you hit it gently. You can record this sound and then amplify it until the glass shatter.

  • if they showed the sound ur ears would bleed or its to high picthed to hear.

  • where is the sound?

  • I saw this phenomenon last night! I was watching Psycho on TCM, and Robert Osbourne mentioned that the entire score was made with stringed instruments. I was watching this on an old tv with worn out speakers. So, the vibrations were quite strong when the volume was high. The vibratioins from the worn out speakers were so strong this time that just during the movie's intro theme, my drinking glass exploded! It was a tall and thick drinking glass too, so it might be time to get a new tv. LOL

  • And when I say that it was a thick glass, I mean that it was a bit thicker than this wine glass. But, the base was at least an inch thick and even that shattered! Maybe it was really weak glass.

  • @Bloodyquill You're a fucking liar. There isn't a TV on this planet with loudspeakers powerful enough to smash a drinking glass, even if they are broken. Also, why the fuck should it makes a difference if string instruments were used? Get a life and stop trying to impress complete strangers on the internet with your bullshit stories.

  • @superscatboy The speakers were worn out and emmitted a high pitched sound. I'm guessing that's why it happened.

I don't think that it takes a "powerful" sound to break a drinking glass, considering that an opera singer can break glass with their voice. But then again, I'm not a God and I can't explain these things. I just relayed what I saw. Either way, I'm sorry that you need to curse me over something like this.

  • @superscatboy The atom particule of the glass was unstable.

Not same as radioactivity but, by high frequency.

Now, What's a frequency? Can you reply I would see your anwser ;)

  • @belley669 Frequency is a measure of how frequently a thing happens. Strictly speaking, "a frequency" isn't a tangible object - merely a measurement of how often an event happens or repeats. For instance, if I was to punch you in the face twice a second, I would be doing so with a frequency of 2hz. Try not to be a smartass about words you don't understand.

  • @superscatboy hey super cat shit, im just not speaking english clearly yet.

but i<ll bet it was not one of your possibility. bye retard.

And as stupid you are, you don<t what is a frequency, you just said what it do. (are you fkin lost) haha

  • this is on a show where they do things in slow motion its rly kool ive seen it w my dad b4

  • What camera was used?

  • Glass inferior, Soundwave superior.

  • Well played sir.

  • Baweep graweep ni niee bong piplupsingularity

  • @piplupsingularity Wow you r so stupid xD. I just cant beleive what u said

  • dammit.. I was really hoping the glass would hit the camera.. (it would have been cool especially in slo mo)

  • resonance..

  • what was the amplitude you used because we are trying to de the experiment too but it failed so could you send me the way it must be done please

  • its about frequncy i guess....

  • what kind of noise is this?

  • im gonna try that at a wedding

  • no man u might end up killing some one

  • they did it on Mythbusters but they used amps and shit

  • No, at the end the heavy metal singer managed to break it with his unamplified voice. Did you even watch the whole episode?

  • it's possible to do it by voice but highly unlikely as one would have to sustain at least a high C for a minute or more.

  • There has been people who do it....

  • They (actually one guy (obviously))did it on mythbusters, so it IS indeed possible.

  • Wow looks kinda like an art film ;)

  • So it IS possible!

  • ok.......dont wanna be around that sound then lol
