@six0threeproductions What? You think having your life ruined from a stupid conviction brought on by laws that extreme racists put into place is worth the l;ife of someone else?
Sorry, the mindless followers of government (such as pigs) lose all their life-value when they act before they think.
@texaschizophrenic Haha I'm no follower of government I think weed should be legalized even though i dont smoke. And when you break a law stupid or not you run the risk of being arrested. And how is it a racist, If you have weed on you, White or Black, your getting the same charge.
@six0threeproductions I didn't say anything about it being current, but fact's are facts. The point isn't that it's weed, but the fact that some idiot without a thought for himself would endanger someone else, despite their innocence, just because the lying government said too. That's like saying the German soldiers of WW2 who manned Auschwitz aren't responsible for the Jew's suffering. A good man would turn his rifle on his commanding officers when given those orders.
Exodus chapter 30 vs 23 God told Moses take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and sweet cinnamon half so much even two hundred and fifty Shekels, and of 'SWEET CALAMUS' two hundred and fifty shekels.if you beleive in God and want Sweet Calamus legal you are 100 percent correct, if you beleive in god and do not want Sweet Calamus legal you are Hypocrite, Natural Herb with seed inside itself God said it is good should be Naturally legal
Mike Tiner made the decision to be dragged, because he refused to use those two little things called legs to walk to the van. He also refused to use them when he collapsed to the ground all on his own volition. Everything that is happening right now to Mike Tiner, is by his own choosing - his display of martyrdom is neither admirable or making any difference whatsoever in legalizing marijuana. He is happy....he is doing what he wants.
Just as the woman who is raped chose to be raped, because she did not consent to sex, and the person who is robbed at gunpoint chose to be robbed, because he did not hand over his wallet voluntarily, on request.
How about you stop defending blatant kidnapping, SN, is that possible? Or is it that you just defend every abuse, no matter how immoral, as long as it is committed by a person wearing a funny blue outfit or a black dress?
Suppose this were a private kidnapping. Suppose these men were not government employees, but just a random gang of teens, looking to make a buck on ransom.
Would you still say it was "his decision" to be dragged, if he resisted these kidnappers? If he bravely refused to cooperate with them, would you say everything happening to him was his fault?
You wouldn't. You would pin the blame where it belongs -- on the kidnappers themselves.
The planet of people who actually have consciences of their own. I know it's strange.
You might know some other aliens from my planet. Gandhi's one. He said, "An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so." Rosa Parks is another. You might recall MLK -- we just had a holiday celebrating his life. He said, "one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws." Thoreau's another. I suggest you read his essay entitled, "Civil Disobedience".
All I can do is be morally decent myself, to stand for principle, and try to encourage others to do the same.
The recognition that there will probably always be evil men is no excuse to be evil yourself.
The villians in history are those who blindly obeyed and enforced immoral laws -- slavery, segregation, the holocost, aparthid, etc. The heroes are those who intentionally broke immoral laws, to effect reform.
You should not be so quick to throw your lot in with the villians.
Except that the victim of a rape or robbery, didn't commit a crime. Regardless....I wonder if freestaters ever sing Xmas Carol's to victims of rape as often as they do to the shitheads who do such things now locked up at the jailhouse. In any event....it's not kidnapping when the police have reason to believe a crime is committed....besides which, Tiner can leave anytime he wants to....don't be a dum dum - is that even possible?
Silent, whatever politicians happen to write down on a piece of paper is not the definition of moral behavior. In this country it was once a federal crime to assist a runaway slave. It was a crime for a black person to sit at the front of a bus. Simply being Japanese at one time was enough to get you locked up in a detention camp. It's illegal now to put juice in a milk container, cut someone's hair without a license, or tap your foot to the music in a cafe.
Assaulting someone for putting trash in a milk carton, showing up with a gun to demand cash from someone because they cut hair without your say-so, or kidnapping someone for smoking pot, is not moral behavior. It doesn't magically become moral because a politician told you to do it.
So, did your brain get engaged at all? Any thought on the issue of morality vs legality? Assuming you haven't actually had a lobotomy, you should be able to clean the rust off and actually do some thinking. It doesn't hurt much, I promise.
To describe Wallace Nolan as "cranky" - is an understatement. The man makes his living through the use of frivolous lawsuits - as shown in Sam Dodson's channel a few months ago (which he promised to follow up on, but didn't). Wallace Nolan is suing the City of Keene because he wanted a list of Keene employees, which he got, but wanted them sent via email instead of paper - hardly some freestater hero.
"He [Ed Brown] points his finger at Freemasons, Zionist Jews and what he says is a secret society known as the Illuminati. Brown said his extensive research shows these groups are all working together in a global conspiracy."
I don't support those views, poolman. At the same time, I don't take lightly, or make light of, the fact that they will likely die in prison because they didn't pay a bill the government claims they owe to it.
God forbid the phone company could do the same thing to us for nonpayment of a bill that the government did to the Brown's. At the most, the government should have done what the phone company would do...stop all services to them and file a civil claim for payment claimed due and owing.
You're saying that the appropriate punishment for not paying a phone bill is having your phone service stopped. Sounds good.
So what's the appropriate punishment for not paying income tax? Not being able to get any income. And where is the only place such a punishment could be carried out?
The appropriate consequence for not paying income tax is not being able to receive government "services" and in having the amount owed collected through civil process. I am not in favor of imposing a criminal sanction, but since realistically a criminal sanction is in place, I think that the maximum time someone should be sentenced to prison is 1 year for such an offense. To sentence someone to prison over an amount of money due and owing for the rest of his life seems barbaric to me.
They did? How so? Did they gut and fillet some cops, hanging their entrails on the tree limbs about their place? Did they rape and pillage the local villagers, burning their houses, and looting their goods? What heinous and monstrous bahaviour did they engage in, other than to refuse to pay a tax, that makes them deserving of an effective death penalty?
Translation: When you live near other people, the majority of whom want to take your property by force, those people have a right to do so.
No, no they do not. Theft is wrong, no matter how big your gang is. If 2 people mugging 1 is wrong, 200 million robbing 100 million is also wrong. Nice euphamisms though. Maybe if you pile the lies on thick and heavy enough you won't actually have to think about the objective morality of your actions.
There was a point in time when the people of our nation considered income taxation to be an injustice. The Supreme Court even went so far as to rule the income tax to be unconstitutional. Those are the people who we all refer to today as being the original patriots. Just food for thought.
That's probably true in an agrarian subsistence pre-industrial (or de-industrial) economy/culture. Which the United States ceased to be several generations ago.
And the "original patriots" as you call them were not necessarily against taxation. What they were against was taxation without representation.
The supreme court also went so far as to rule that human beings could be considered property, and declared corporations to be persons.
I never stated that the original patriots were against taxation in general. What I mentioned was income taxation. Federal income taxes were unconstitutional, meaning illegal, up until 1913 with the 16th Amendment.
Lol, wow. That is the most pathetic excuse for logic I've ever heard. You must be a public school graduate ...
Let's see -- the phone bill is the payment you make to the phone company in exchange for income. So, if you don't pay, you don't get phone service.
Rack your brain, poolboy, and see if you can figure out what you give in exchange for your income. That's right, it's your labor. Stop working, and you'll stop getting paid.
Brilliant logic -- so, them writing crap down on paper gives them the right to steal.
Just give me a second, let me get a felt tipped marker and a piece of paper. Article 2 secion 6 of my constitution now says you have to send me $1000 dollars now. If you don't, I'll be showing up with guns to kick you out of your home.
You might think this is immoral behavior on my part, now this document I just made up makes it ok.
What a great response. I can see you've really considered the issue with an acute and open mind.
Now maybe you can explain how the fact that some paper somewhere says, "theft is ok" makes it so. If it said "slavery is ok" would you support slavery too? Oh wait, it did say that! I guess, then, in 1800 you'd be all in favor of arresting escaped slaves -- after all, it was in the constitution.
Or, you could grow a tiny bit of moral decency. It doesn't hurt too much, I promise.
They didn't call the holocaust murder, they called it the "final solution". They didn't call the Trail of Tears theft, they called it, "relocation". In Missouri, when men had forced sex with female slaves they didn't call it "rape", they called it "tresspass". People always create euphamisms to excuse evil.
Tell me the name of a nation, prior to 1000 AD, that did not have slavery. There are none, so according to your logic, I guess slavery's inevitable, and we might as well support it.
What this thread needs is a good old fashioned town square "trespassing" - with ninjabunnyman as the enslaved trespassee. I can hear him now as he gets ravaged....even duct taped...."well in 1530 the great Colonel.........if I take a key and scratch your car isn't that the same as when I apply brush to canvas......if I walk on my hands what difference is it when I walk on my legs.....blah blah blah
@ninjabunnyman - That's an impressive resume you have there. In any event, I was unaware I was dealing with such a gifted child prodigy - I mean....don't ALL the geniuses spend there time duking it out on youtube comment sections? Besides which, Mr. Wizard, did you actually think your regurgitated philosophies spewed to the ilks of an obvious "statist" was going to change the world? LOL - Yep - we got a high school DROPOUT.
Ah, yes, how foolish of me to think you might actually engage in substantive thought. How on earth could I have thought you'd actually respond to my ideas using logical argumentation? I should have known that your opinions have nothing to do with rationality whatsoever. My bad.
No, I made the point that using euphemisms doesn't make evil any less evil.
My point was not that genocide is the same as taxes, it was that your "we have two different words therefore they're two different things" argument is horse crap.
You're not too strong when it comes to logic, are you?
Actually, I'm fairly strong when it comes to morals. I refuse to use the threat of agressive violence to extract money from peaceful people, or force them to obey my arbitrary whims. As long as they don't harm others, they have a right to live their lives, and use the fruit of their labor, as they choose -- and I respect that right.
Unfortunately, we can't say the same about theives and violent busybodies like you.
Ok, correct me where I go wrong. You've been taught that theft is wrong, but that our system of government is good. You, like most people (including me) grew up with the inclination to trust what people tell you, especially when they're authority figures, like schoolteachers or parents.
Unlike me, you've not yet really sat down and reasoned through the nature of government, and morality for yourself.
There's nothing wrong with that. I'm just pointing out that you need to do that thinking.
Well, unless you grew up in the USSR, I'm pretty sure the bit about theft and government are accurate. And unless you were a very abnormal child, the inclination to trust part is accurate too.
I'm glad to hear you've sat down and reasoned through the nature of government and morality for yourself. I'm surprised, given this, that you've made some of the incredibly specious arguments you have ...
But, this is not a fruitful line of discussion. Let's stick to the issues.
"I'm pretty sure the bit about theft and government are accurate. And unless you were a very abnormal child, the inclination to trust part is accurate too."
I'm sure you know me better than I do, so please keep telling me who I am and what I believe.
Dude, stop being so obtuse. These three things are true about me too. They're true of 99% of people in this country, unless you were born to a bunch of grifter communists or something.
But fine, I'll take your word for it. You apparently grew up being taught theft is good, democracy is bad, and your parents and teachers exerted no influence over you.
As I said, this is a pointless line of discussion.
Ok, no one exerted any influence upon you at all, nor did your parents or teachers teach you anything. You were dumped on a mountainside and raised by wolves.
Whatever.
Answer the question I posed to you above. You have moral principles, yes? Is the behavior I described in accordance with those principles or not?
I'm not the one ducking questions about my beliefs.
Apparently you are incapable or desperately afraid of answering even a simple question about your basic moral beliefs. Why? A person with well considered, self consistent moral philosophy would be happy to answer, and could do so readily.
I care about the truth. I care about people standing against what I consider to be the principal immorality of our time, rather than perpetuating it, and I would have liked to have had an honest discussion.
I give up on you. Your cavalier and willfully brainless attitude towards important moral questions is sickening. Get bent.
I'm interested in your response to the following scenario (it's in two parts because of the character limit):
Suppose at the creation of the world I find myself living near two other people. Now, suppose myself, and my first neighbor, wish to steal from the other. My second neighbor simply wishes to live in peace. My first neighbor and I hold a constitutional convention, and determine by two thirds majority, that we will have a democracy.
We then vote to steal from our neighbor, and the motion passes by two thirds majority, which of course is binding, since we have already determined that we shall live in a democracy. Its now the law that we shall take the property of our neighbor, and since there are two of us and one of him, overwhelm him by force and do so immediately. Or, of course, we could give him a chance to leave, at which point we get his farm anyway.
Tax is the extortion of money from innocent people, by threats of violence.
Yep, that's theft.
I know public school must have been hard on your ability to think honestly or objectively, but try to use what's left of it . It's not like I didn't get the propaganda too. Use your own mind. I'm better for it, and you will be too.
Do you think it's ok for two people to forcibly take the property of one person? If not, don't you think it's wrong for 200 million to take the property of 100 million?
"If federal agents storm Brown's property, he and his supporters will come out shooting. Brown said yesterday that if those agents kill him or his wife, Elaine, his supporters will systematically find and kill Plainfield Police Chief Gordon Gillens, Sullivan County Sheriff Michael Prozzo and others Brown says are sworn to protect him."
Wow, that's total nonsense. One can oppose the nation-state of Israel, but not oppose Jewish people.
Let's apply your brilliant logic in another context:
The violent rhetoric of Malcolm X came about as a reaction to racism. Since Malcolm X was black, opposition to the violent rhetoric of Malcolm X is racism.
This is obviously false. One can oppose both racism and violence.
A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.
Please explain how I have misinterpreted your position.
I know engaging your brain to actually either refute my argument, or show that it does not appply, is more difficult than shouting "strawman" like a wind up toy, but do try.
@ninjabunnyman "I know engaging your brain to actually either refute my argument" et al. - Kind of sounds like flippant arrogance and juvenile/crass mocking to me. What a filthy hypocrite you are.
The "crass" refered to your rape joke. And the "flippant arrogance" refered to the use of bombastic one liners as a replacement for substantive discussion.
I'd love to have a substantive discussion. Please respond substantively to any of my arguments.
@ninjabunnyman Rape? Surely you mean trespass. LOL. Hey look - it is impossible to have a discussion with you - because you resort to the very same tactics you supposedly loathe when it is an opposing opinion. p00lman just wrapped up your MO quite nicely....with a bow and everything - so don't sit here and pretend you ever answer my thoughts with a desire to "discuss" anything. .
Ok, why don't you start by answering the same question I put to poolman -- I'll post it again (three parts):
The only reason I would mention the Holocaust is to refute the argument that morality is determined by government.
Suppose you say: It's not theft, because it's supported by government.
I might say: By that logic, the holocaust is not murder, because it was perpetrated by government.
The point is to refute the specific argument. There are many examples of evil committed by government -- and if the government is perpetrating evil, it should be opposed.
People just need to stop being pussies and start filling cops with lead in their bellies.

In Missouri, when men had forced sex with female slaves they didn't call it "rape", they called it "tresspass". People always create euphamisms to excuse evil.
Tell me the name of a nation, prior to 1000 AD, that did not have slavery. There are none, so according to your logic, I guess slavery's inevitable, and we might as well support it.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Wow, talk about morally reprehensible. You just compared taxation - you having to pay money - to the deaths of millions.
You fucking gnat.

Emotionally negative reaction to non-politically correct ideas? Check.
Use of juvenile or crass mocking to avoid substantive thought? Check.
Actual brain activity? Engagement in substantive, logical discussion outside the box? To be avoided at all costs.
Yep, we've got another public school graduate.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
@ninjabunnyman - That's an impressive resume you have there. In any event, I was unaware I was dealing with such a gifted child prodigy - I mean....don't ALL the geniuses spend there time duking it out on youtube comment sections? Besides which, Mr. Wizard, did you actually think your regurgitated philosophies spewed to the ilks of an obvious "statist" was going to change the world? LOL - Yep - we got a high school DROPOUT.
SSILENTNATION 2 years ago
Ah, yes, how foolish of me to think you might actually engage in substantive thought. How on earth could I have thought you'd actually respond to my ideas using logical argumentation? I should have known that your opinions have nothing to do with rationality whatsoever. My bad.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
No, I made the point that using euphemisms doesn't make evil any less evil.
My point was not that genocide is the same as taxes, it was that your "we have two different words therefore they're two different things" argument is horse crap.
You're not too strong when it comes to logic, are you?
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
You're not too strong when it comes to morals.
p00lman 2 years ago
Actually, I'm fairly strong when it comes to morals. I refuse to use the threat of agressive violence to extract money from peaceful people, or force them to obey my arbitrary whims. As long as they don't harm others, they have a right to live their lives, and use the fruit of their labor, as they choose -- and I respect that right.
Unfortunately, we can't say the same about theives and violent busybodies like you.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Tell me about myself and how I'm committed theft and violence, since you know me so well and are a pioneer in New Logic.
p00lman 2 years ago
Ok, correct me where I go wrong. You've been taught that theft is wrong, but that our system of government is good. You, like most people (including me) grew up with the inclination to trust what people tell you, especially when they're authority figures, like schoolteachers or parents.
Unlike me, you've not yet really sat down and reasoned through the nature of government, and morality for yourself.
There's nothing wrong with that. I'm just pointing out that you need to do that thinking.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
You haven't made a single correct assumption about me yet. Keep trying.
p00lman 2 years ago
Well, unless you grew up in the USSR, I'm pretty sure the bit about theft and government are accurate. And unless you were a very abnormal child, the inclination to trust part is accurate too.
I'm glad to hear you've sat down and reasoned through the nature of government and morality for yourself. I'm surprised, given this, that you've made some of the incredibly specious arguments you have ...
But, this is not a fruitful line of discussion. Let's stick to the issues.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
It's not a discussion at all. You just keep putting words in my mouth and making judgments based on that, and I'm just sitting here shaking my head.
p00lman 2 years ago
What words am I putting in your mouth? Please explain which of your arguments I have misunderstood. Pick one to start with.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
"I'm pretty sure the bit about theft and government are accurate. And unless you were a very abnormal child, the inclination to trust part is accurate too."
I'm sure you know me better than I do, so please keep telling me who I am and what I believe.
p00lman 2 years ago
Dude, stop being so obtuse. These three things are true about me too. They're true of 99% of people in this country, unless you were born to a bunch of grifter communists or something.
But fine, I'll take your word for it. You apparently grew up being taught theft is good, democracy is bad, and your parents and teachers exerted no influence over you.
As I said, this is a pointless line of discussion.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
"You apparently grew up being taught theft is good, democracy is bad, and your parents and teachers exerted no influence over you."
Once again, no.
I made my own decisions. Strange concept, I know.
p00lman 2 years ago
Ok, no one exerted any influence upon you at all, nor did your parents or teachers teach you anything. You were dumped on a mountainside and raised by wolves.
Whatever.
Answer the question I posed to you above. You have moral principles, yes? Is the behavior I described in accordance with those principles or not?
I'm not the one ducking questions about my beliefs.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Interesting, the assumptions never seem to end. Please tell me more about myself.
p00lman 2 years ago
I just told you three times I don't effing care.
Answer the question I asked of you.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Of course you don't care. That's why you keep making up shit about me no matter how many times I correct you.
p00lman 2 years ago
I told you four comments ago I didn't want to play your stupid childhood guessing game. Stop mindlessly bloviating and answer my question.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Apparently you are incapable or desperately afraid of answering even a simple question about your basic moral beliefs. Why? A person with well considered, self consistent moral philosophy would be happy to answer, and could do so readily.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Actually, I find your desperate need to be validated endlessly amusing.
p00lman 2 years ago
I care about the truth. I care about people standing against what I consider to be the principal immorality of our time, rather than perpetuating it, and I would have liked to have had an honest discussion.
I give up on you. Your cavalier and willfully brainless attitude towards important moral questions is sickening. Get bent.

Victory!
p00lman 2 years ago
I'm interested in your response to the following scenario (it's in two parts because of the character limit):
Suppose at the creation of the world I find myself living near two other people. Now, suppose myself, and my first neighbor, wish to steal from the other. My second neighbor simply wishes to live in peace. My first neighbor and I hold a constitutional convention, and determine by two thirds majority, that we will have a democracy.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
We then vote to steal from our neighbor, and the motion passes by two thirds majority, which of course is binding, since we have already determined that we shall live in a democracy. Its now the law that we shall take the property of our neighbor, and since there are two of us and one of him, overwhelm him by force and do so immediately. Or, of course, we could give him a chance to leave, at which point we get his farm anyway.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Do you believe this scenario is any different, or more moral, than common theft?
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
You're joking, right? That analogy has to be one fat fucking joke, or else you're far more stupid than I thought.
p00lman 2 years ago
I asked you what your opinion on it is, not whether the analogy is apt.
Do you believe it would be theft, or not?
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
My opinion is that you must be joking.
p00lman 2 years ago
Suppose what I described occurred. Would you consider if theft or not? Why or why not?
It's a simple question. If you had a modicum of intellectual honesty you could answer it.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
"If you had a modicum of intellectual honesty you could answer it."
Oh look, the pot is calling the kettle black.
p00lman 2 years ago
Dude, just answer the damn question.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Tax is the extortion of money from innocent people, by threats of violence.
Yep, that's theft.
I know public school must have been hard on your ability to think honestly or objectively, but try to use what's left of it . It's not like I didn't get the propaganda too. Use your own mind. I'm better for it, and you will be too.
Do you think it's ok for two people to forcibly take the property of one person? If not, don't you think it's wrong for 200 million to take the property of 100 million?
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
It's not extortion, fuckface. That's why we have one word for extortion and another word for taxation.
p00lman 2 years ago
I know that was awful compelling stuff you were fed in grade school, but maybe try using your own brain a little bit.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Anti-zionism isn't antisemitism. Don't equivocate.
TehBANN3D 2 years ago
Yes, it is. But that's not important.
He's absolutely psychotic.
p00lman 2 years ago
No it's not. One is a political ideology, one is a cultural/religious prejudice.
TehBANN3D 2 years ago
Zionism came about as a reaction to antisemetism. Since Zionists are Jews, "anti-Zionism" is still antisemetism.
p00lman 2 years ago
Wow, that's total nonsense. One can oppose the nation-state of Israel, but not oppose Jewish people.
Let's apply your brilliant logic in another context:
The violent rhetoric of Malcolm X came about as a reaction to racism. Since Malcolm X was black, opposition to the violent rhetoric of Malcolm X is racism.
This is obviously false. One can oppose both racism and violence.
You seriously should learn some basic logic.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
Your strawmen arguments are awesome.
Got any real ones?
p00lman 2 years ago
It was simply an example refuting your absurd logic, which went something like this:
Support for X was a reaction to hatred of Y. Supporters of X are examples of Y. Therefore, opposition to X is hatred of Y.
It makes about as much sense as saying, "Birds are animals. Cows are animals. Therefore Birds are Cows."
Please think a little before spouting fallacies. Or at least pay attention when I refute them.
I swear, the public education system in this country is beyond pathetic.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
More great strawmen! Do you also do paper cranes?
p00lman 2 years ago
A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.
Please explain how I have misinterpreted your position.
I know engaging your brain to actually either refute my argument, or show that it does not appply, is more difficult than shouting "strawman" like a wind up toy, but do try.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
@ninjabunnyman "I know engaging your brain to actually either refute my argument" et al. - Kind of sounds like flippant arrogance and juvenile/crass mocking to me. What a filthy hypocrite you are.
SSILENTNATION 2 years ago
The "crass" refered to your rape joke. And the "flippant arrogance" refered to the use of bombastic one liners as a replacement for substantive discussion.
I'd love to have a substantive discussion. Please respond substantively to any of my arguments.
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
@ninjabunnyman Rape? Surely you mean trespass. LOL. Hey look - it is impossible to have a discussion with you - because you resort to the very same tactics you supposedly loathe when it is an opposing opinion. p00lman just wrapped up your MO quite nicely....with a bow and everything - so don't sit here and pretend you ever answer my thoughts with a desire to "discuss" anything. .

Ok, why don't you start by answering the same question I put to poolman -- I'll post it again (three parts):
Suppose at the creation of the world I find myself living near two other people. Now, suppose myself, and my first neighbor, wish to steal from the other. My second neighbor simply wishes to live in peace. My first neighbor and I hold a constitutional convention, and determine by two thirds majority, that we will have a democracy.

Do you believe this scenario is any different, or more moral, than common theft?
ninjabunnyman 2 years ago
You: Taxation is theft!
Me: No, it's not.
You: You like theft and violence! You would support the Holocaust!
p00lman 2 years ago
The only reason I would mention the Holocaust is to refute the argument that morality is determined by government.
Suppose you say: It's not theft, because it's supported by government.
I might say: By that logic, the holocaust is not murder, because it was perpetrated by government.
The point is to refute the specific argument. There are many examples of evil committed by government -- and if the government is perpetrating evil, it should be opposed.

I wonder what would happen if citizens demanded police charge other citizens for brushing against them on mass?
I doubt they would be keen to process the charges. ... especially if the complaints where all dropped before trial.
