Their voices are really good. Too bad SM is focusing on songs which will enhance the 5 main vocalists voices. Hyo, Yuri especially Sooyoung and Yoona have great voices too!

Sooyoung and Taeyeon sang the loudest during the chorus part (since SY is fluent in Japanese and TY is the main vocalist) except for Yoona and Sooyoung's part.

In the acapella of the korean version I didn't expect Yoona and Sooyoung's voice to be that.... WOW!

@ssonesoshi SooTae didn't sing the loudest, they were the only ones. x) Maybe Seohyun too though. Oh, and the 2nd to last chorus is Jessica 1st, Taeyeon+Sooyoung second, then Seohyun. But yeah, the dancers voices esp. Sooyoung really stand out in genie, I like SooNa's parts the best. and SeoTaeSoo also sang the chorus for the Korean version.

Guys I'm sure he is WELL aware, that this is an MV and not a perf. But doesn't that really matter, the purpose of it is just so that you can the voices. So people rather listen to the recorded voices, rather than listening to them on a perf. where they are out of breath from running around the stage. Also technically they DID like this during recording.

I'd just like to say that things like this are really only useful if you want to know what the girls' voices sound like tone/qualitywise. You know they edit the hell out of these, right? Mr removal is best for performances, like the Star Star Star one the girls did where they sang while sitting still. That's probably the closest to natural, non-strained voices you're going to get (not counting Yuri's or Tae's :p).

All I'm trying to say is that instead of giving credit to Sooyoung's Japanese, why can't we just say that her singing has improved by a lot? You can't remove MR from a MV. If you remove the MR you remove the recorded audio since it's not covering any real vocals.

You can only remove the "Music Recording" from a live video where it takes off the recording. Search up actual MR removed videos and you'll see the difference.

@Onimusha2nd He's actually right. You can't fully extract the MR from an official track since the vocals, instrumentals, and effects have all been mixed down to one singular track. So if you try to extract the MR, you'll only get a partial-MR because it's impossible to fully separate the vocals once it's been mixed down unless you have the master copy. MR only works on lives since live perfs are pure vocals against background music, and bg music is easily removable.

It's just a technicality.

I'm just saying im not wrong...MR remove means removing most of the music so the vocals can be clearly heard. Im just suggesting that there are more than one way to extract the music and leave most of the vocals in. The MR remove live videos he was suggesting is a different way of doing it but I prefer this way instead because you can hear their voices more clearly.

It's like that in the Korean version except It's just Seohyun/Sooyoung.

Like Seohyun has to sing with Yoona, Hyoyeon, and then the chorus part x 3 while dancing, and Sooyoung would have to sing I'm genie for your wish/World, her solo part, tell me what you need, and the whole x 3. They would get tired to easily. When it's all of them, they can even rely on backtrack. x)
