  • I don't understand how it works on the schedule....I want to major in physical therapy at either FAU or UCF and do army rotc at either one but i'm not sure how the whole thing works with taking courses...like what if one of my regular courses conflicts with the other one like being at the same time or somethin?

  • die terrorist, die!

  • dumb ass

  • shut the hell up you supid hippy

  • lol

  • lol are those universities controlled by government or they are private?

  • All Army ROTC scholarships come with an 8 year obligation; 4years Active Duty and 4 years Reserve Duty.

The Non-scholarship option is 6 years; 3 years Active Duty, 3 years Reserve, or if you go straight in the the USAR, 6 years Reserve Duty.

  • Any initial contract you sign with the military will be 8 years. If you do 4 years active duty then it's 4 years that you're in the Inactive Ready Reserve (the reason that we have no need for a draft)., you can currently shorten that by two years if immediately coming off active you sign up for the guard, and drill (1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year*) for 2 years.

*Note: During their pre-deployment year (every 5 years) units will have more drills to prepare soldiers for year long missions.

  • The standard is 4 active, 2 reserve. But there are ways of going 8 years reserve or active national guard.

  • How long would I have to serve after college if I do the 3-yr army rotc scholarship?
