  • Luke walks out in front of the speakers and as soon as Arif and Tim come out too he walks back inside. hahaha.

  • i bet arif's on shrooms with the way he's dancing and shit :p

  • lmfao ariff was going nuts!

  • @thecrowrip1 lol he doesnt do that much anymore

  • hahaha yet their playing with metallica... not mainstream at all hahahahahah

  • great stuff

  • Haha, I wonder how high Arif is?? :D

  • Well this was in early 2006... so they just released Kezia. They werent that big until just before Fortress was released. Nowadays they get a lot bigger gigs than this, with crowds that actually love their music.

  • @adderallalways I won't argue with that. As a musician, listening to attack attack its obvious they don't write anything complicated. How could you possibly know how much talent they have, to even be okay at an instument it takes a bit of talent. besides I listen to a LOT of music some of it more complicated then others. So your comment was just fucking retarded. I don't know you on a personal level but from that comment you seem like an egotistical asshole

  • Dude they are kicking ASS!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Lame crowd though. Drastically lame.

  • lololol ariff

  • I would rather see a bunch of people standing to listen to Protest than see a bunch of homos in Attack attack! T-shirts and skinny jeans hardcore dancing to them. Thank GAWD they are off of warped tour...

  • @TaylorAlanGardner fuck you i love attack attack

  • @zachfairways Yeah I used to like untalented bands as well. Its just a phase. Give it time.

  • i really can't wait till they come to soundwave 2011 in australia!

  • dam ariff is a good dancer

  • wtf is wrong with this crowd. i'd be fucking hardcore dancing like no tomorrow

  • @Phen0men0nz Protets openly hate hardcore dancing, and for good reason.

  • llolll 1:39 "let me pull up my pants here"

  • Gamerdave likes penis

  • "And I'm the fucking Anti-Christ!"

That's so cool they just decide to setup right there and give a show. These guys are really out there for the music, it's inspirational. If I can ever make it big, I'm gonna be just like these dudes.

  • Damn I wish PTH would still go crazy like this at live shows. It seems like now they aren't rly into it as much as they used to be. But i'm guessing it's because their stuff off fortress is rly complex so they have to concentrate more and can't headband and all that as much.

  • @GamerDave2008 Obviously they suck... like your subscription to the katy perry's channel...!

    This band is awesome!

  • @GamerDave2008

you are in the presence of greatness and you speak SUCH blasphemy?!? THOU SHALT NOT GO UNPUNISHED!

  • WHY IS THE CROWD JUST STANDING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have snapped and starting moshing by myself lol

  • @Paduch I think that the people in the crowd are just random dudes

  • did i catch at the end im the fucking antichrist? btw this band is the epitamy of pure awesome.

  • Well this is sad, but they came back to Halifax though and played at the Cunard center and that was crazy as hell..

  • every video i see: nobody gives a shit about the awesomeness that's right in front of them. when these guys play its time to tear shit apart. wtf?!?

  • jdesign

    you fucking tool..

yes i agree the scene is a joke but PTH dont get shitty gigs...they used to play in random ass places all the time.

  • Ok I dont see why you would call me a tool when you agree with half of my comment. Now when I said they SOMETIMES get shitty gigs I didnt mean they dont ever get good gigs im saying that SOMETIMES they get booked on shitty ones like this. The crowd sucks balls and whoever put on the show had no right to be putting on a show. If you cant give the band decent sound and atleast a stage (which doesnt cost that much) then either save your allowance or just dont do it at all.

  • The reason I am so upset about all this is because I lived it. I played in a band for over 5 years (and in other bands for many more years) so I know what playing a show like this is like it just pisses bands off cause people dont realize how much work goes into playing a show. Crowds and show promoters like this are basicly just spitting in the face of the band. I mean I can understand doing this to a crappy local band but PTH deserves so much more. This is not the way to have a band come back

  • there are just too many people out there that think they can be show promoters so there is just this over saturation of shitty shows and that is one of many reasons why our generations scene is so pathetic.

  • Holy shit the whole freshman class is there pffsh. I feel so sorry for PTH they are such a talented band but sometimes they get shitty gigs like this full of little fashioncore scenesters that know nothing about good music uggghhhh it just irritates the hell out of me. If you are not gonna give them the respect they deserve by atleast bobbing your head, then stay home IM TALKING TO YOU KID IN THE FRONT WITH THE SHITTY EMO HAIRCUT and YOUR BLINK 182 WANNABE FRIEND hahaha the scene is so pathetic.

  • @jdesign918 you sir deserved a thumbs up, therefore i giveth you one, enjoy

  • Thank you man. Im happy to see there is someone out there that actually sees the music scene for what it really is.

  • Whoa .... Jerk

  • Look maybe im a jerk but you cannot blame me for telling the truth. Anyone who really has a passion for music would be going nuts if they were at a PTH show. I mean that emo kid was solid as a rock. Im not saying he has to be running and jumping around but cmon do something. I have nothing against Emo people (as long as they arnt just doing it to be cool or for fashion) hell back up until 06 I looked emo as hell but I was not emo just to set the record straight.

  • So yeah I may be a jerk but these days the music scene needs jerks like me to tell it how it really is and wake the scene up from its downfall. The scene has become way too amature full of people that hang around to look cool and have no passion for music and no knowledge of how to put on a show.

  • There I am done I have spent way too much time commenting on this video. All Im saying people is go to a show cause you like a respect the band you are seeing, not cause you know there are gonna be some hot 16 year old emo girls. haha and if you are wanting to put on a show team up with someone that knows what they are doing for a while till you know what it takes to put on a good show out of respect for the bands. No one wants to play a show like this one.

  • they rock my fav band

  • wow,i hate how rody kinda talks some parts

  • wow they sound like ass in this vid. good thing they've gotten better lol

  • Luke at 1:00 - to 1:18 trying to show off the ladies in the front row. Haha

  • I don't remember this show being advertised. I went to show the night before though. I think this was just a spur of the moment kind of thing. not sure

  • i think the reason for the poor quality shows... is that PTH is canadian and everyone knows that you can't mosh with any less than 8 people...

if canada's population was higher.. they could have better shows.. and then PTH could feed off the energy of the crowd and rip it up alot more... this is all theoretically speaking of course

  • what..... the fuck. did you read what you typed there? " if Canada's population was higher.." what do you think, the whole country goes to see concerts? its because they aren't necessarily as popular as more "known" bands

  • lol troll'd

  • they played warped tour in LA and had similar results...and that's the 3rd largest metro in north America.

    I don't believe your reasoning.

  • i agree my reasoning was completely inaccurate but that's probably because i said it to troll and then i lol'd at the fact that people get this upset about someone saying one lil somewhat not so nice thing about their favorite bands ... at any rate.. i stopped caring.. although i do wanna throw in there that i do LOVE PTH but people need to chill out :P

  • i'm not really upset just thought i'd clear any confusion.

I couldn't care less to be honest. Protest isn't even my favourite band lol

  • right, because rush is from canada and they have such tiny concerts too huh

  • lol double troll'd

  • Nahhh I honestly think that the reason this show was crappy is because whoever put it on had no idea what they were doing. Crappy sound, not even the slightest attempt at making a stage and im just gonna take a guess here but im assuming the promotion of this show was crappy if there was any at all besides what the actual band did to push the show.

  • holy fuck man you gave'r

  • Protest always have the crappiest corws ever. It's so unfair

  • *crowds

  • They will always have horrible crowds because they will never be able to go main stream because they refuse to conform to the crap that is put out by the bands on the radio these days.

  • @givemeaname55555 Word up

  • @givemeaname55555 wait.

    is this bad or good.

    it seems good

  • @givemeaname55555 well thats not true anymore they've conformed a bit they even wrote a song about much they give in to their label and change to make money but they have the balls to admit they've sold out a bit and still make sick music

  • rody's singing really has improved a lot

  • "And I'm the fucking anti-christ!"

    Amazing.

  • good shit.. emo kid blockin the camera

  • emo died in the early 80s. your a faggot for using titles and stereotypes. oh wait, your a juggalo. go kill yourself.

  • lmfao... dude shut up.. was raggin on dudes hair on the left

  • dude emos still roam the streets and their parents basements. call it scene call it whatever but girl jeans on a dude...? It's weak...

  • Metallica and Led Zeppelin weared tight jeans, may you be damned. Amen.

  • yeah and metallica and led zepplin weren't punk ass teenagers.. If you are on top.. be my guest.. but for an average joe..? getting a desk job would be tough lol

  • fools like you thrive and breed - in labels and stereotypes, have a mentality of an old man, homophobes.

People like you shouldn't be alowed to listen to anything but country, isolated from the outside word by four concrete walls.

  • I suppose you LIKE being hit on by gay guys then right? I hate everyone equally- stereotypes don't come from nowhere.. btw I don't live in the country

  • lmao i like this guy ^ why wear your little sisters jeans?

  • haha thats funny.

  • for an outside show, that is epic xD

  • Hey folks,

PTH was an unannounced act on the bill for Tumbleweed V, a free outdoor show I used to do in Halifax. They actually played first on the bill around 1pm and mentioned numerous times that they were hungover from the bar show the night before and being out way too late after that.

    =-)

As for the kids, a lot of them were probably expecting some of the other bands on the bill, not something as crazy as PTH in the middle of the afternoon... that and kids don't mosh like they used to.

    =-p

  • the crowd didn't look like protest fans, they probably didn't know the song....

BUT FUCKING AWESOME VID TY FOR POSTING!!!!

  • they all jizzed in their pants = couldn't move

  • wtf... hey where's the crowd? MOSH MUTHERF*CKERS!!!!

  • now THATS what i call an insanely crazy crowd

  • is that luke on gutiar?

  • I'm guessing, since he's the only guitarist that can play it as well as he can

  • oh really?

i suppose you are forgetting about Paul Waggoner and Thomas Erak.

Luke Hoskin is good, but cannot compare to other guitarists out there

  • "it" he meant PtH's material. nothing more.. if he did, well then. but since he didn't, maybe read a tad more closely.

  • The end of this song always reminds me of a Guns and Roses riff lol

  • Crowd must have been paralyzed from the the guitar riffs...

  • i love this song

  • DUDE!?!?!

epic-ness is exploding in your face.

and you stand. not even a simple gyration

  • Haha they were probably so blown away that they couldn't move

  • I don't think this was an official show so everyone talking shit about people not movie need to shut up. There probably wasn't a lot of people there and it would have been odd. The actual show was either that night or the night after. (guess who was there, tehe)

  • Man that's awesome, how they came out onto the grass to play some of that. Very personable of them

  • stupid crowd

  • Oh fuck you. People can do whatever the hell they want.

Besides, it's outside and there's no stage. Jumping around would be incredibly akward.

  • calm down

  • That crowd is fucking sick!!!

  • the crowd doesn't look too impressed..haha

  • no, just cause its a scale doesnt mean it isnt complex. u post a vid playin that shit as good as they do and then u can talk about complex. that shits some of the most complex shit ive seen

  • Trust me playing this live and standing

It's a whole new level of difficulty than sitting down and jamming.

  • lol

  • wtf u do man its protest the hero and you stand here and listen....Trash do some thing :P

  • at first didnt dig the singing in this band but got use to it&luv it! these doods rock. The music is pretty technical, maybe why not moving around alot but who knows they might of been hung over, tired/sick or somethin lol. The crowd looked like some people at a park.. seemed like the chick was the only one rockin her head! thats part of the joy of playing metal, one day be playin a gig wit circle pits and the next day could be people just stairing back at you..

  • ahaha arif is going crazy

  • fucken right, always does

  • the dude below me makes a good point. their music is really difficult and would make it near impossible for them to move and jump around. although when they're more experianced like between the buried and me, then they'll be able to move around more. but shows need to be as energetic as the music. so for now, deff a CD band. music is great live, but the show isnt.

  • you should see them play live now man

  • great music

  • Do you realize how fucking hard the shit they're playing is? It would be impossible for them to move around and play all that stuff at the same time. It's a price you have to pay for good music. It's incredibly hard to do anything else but play.

  • have you seen them live in the past year? they are crazy! i'm luck enough to live in toronto where we get tons of shows with them!

  • omg, even in the end no one's moving, shit.. i would go fuckin nuts

  • lol they are so young here, lmao

  • do these people not realize they are in the presence of greatness..they should be bowing down on their knees

  • love the ending

  • hey some bitches, pth always gets the bitches

  • i dont think people realize how much of a faggot you would actually look like if you were the only person moshing and jumping around

  • yeah that sucks but its pretty cool if you get a whole crowd going just cuz one crazy muther fucker decides to push the kid next to him . Its a huge rush of adrenaline ! try it :D

  • agreed

  • LOL COULDN'T AGREE MORE!

  • haha apparently uve never been in a pit at a metal concert, go to one and right when it starts ur like why the hell did i get in this thing but after a few songs u really get into it, its hard to explain just get in one next time a pit gets goin lol i did the wall of death at a lamb of god concert, i was about right behind someone at the front of it, talk about pain

  • A year ago, I saw Soulfly, and Ektomorf at a festival. Moshed, without any breaks, for like 3 hours. And now, i fell like no other mosh an be as good as that was.

  • i have been. i went to a bring me the horizon and it was fucking sick. their new music sucks but they still kick ass live. i was in a pit with sweaty muscley guys all day and it was fun ass hell

  • hey fuck face, why did u come to world in the first place. why don't u swallow a knife, or dive into 1 ft. deep pool.

  • hahaha, you are so cool arent you...little 17 year old punk

  • I think ur a fag I don't even see the point of why you came to a video just to post a dumbass comment lmfao what a douche bag.

  • maybe he thought of the fact that the vocalist sang a bit off ?

  • let's see if the band doesn't put on a stage show people will just stand there. despite it being protest the same theory applies.

  • everyone is completely still...like no head movement at all....like wtf its protest the hero 5 feet in front of u and ur not doing anything at all.

    ok?

  • man...these guys must have been spellbound...haha...i dont think i could have stood still for 5 seconds at this show...haha..

  • protest the FUCKIN hero!!!!

did rody say hes the anti-christ at the end of the video?

  • Indeed he did.

    Definately the fucking anti-Christ.

    XD

  • Mikor jöttök Magyarországra??

    Istenkirály zenekar vagytok!!!!

    VERY GOD BAND!!!

    from Hungarian:)

  • jesus people! dont just stand there! that's protest the fucking hero right there!!

  • they probally r to amased to speak

  • Great band, but they just stand still, there are some easy parts for them to crazy!

  • Not as talented as soulja boy? are you kidding me? I can't believe i just read that...so not talented...Protest the hero is one of the most talented groups...love the new remix techno song too

  • holy fuck, those kids don't know the honour of being in Protest The Hero live

  • fuck solja boy man protest fukin owns, solja boy sux dick

  • how do they manage to stand still to this music?

  • MOVE FUCKERS MOVE !

  • they were fucking amazing at le scratch in oshawa i saw them yesturday

  • What the @#$% is wrong with these people. They're just standin around watching...what a bunch of losers. Protest the Hero is one of the best bands ever! @#$%in rock out to that S%$#!

  • They're there to watch a show, not jump around like a fucking idiot. Moshers are fucking queers. Good for these people for "just" standing there.

  • im not at all for "hardcore dancers", but at least do something. dont fucking stand there.

  • I am doing something when at a concert. I'm watching the show *gasp* yes I know enjoying the show is a new concept but bear with me. I stand there to watch what I paid to watch - there's no reason to flail like an idiot.

  • What the hell do you mean to "enjoy" it and "not just observe it"?

What are you - fucking stupid? Most people can ENJOY it WHILE OBSERVING IT. DERRRR. That wasn't too had to process right? I mean the though of calmly standing an enjoying something must be hard to grasp for a simpleton such as yourself.

I think concerts should be overlooked by armed gaurds who fire upon fucktards who jump around and thrash.

  • Are you being sarcastic?

  • No, I'm not. Thrashing around isn't enjoying the show - it's called finding an excuse to be a moron for no reason.

  • Yes, yes that is exactly what those thousands of people are doing. They are declaring their stupidy to everyone around.

Dude, I'm not the moshing type but if I ever see PTH live it's going to take a massive willpower effort to not headbang until I sprain my neck.

Have you every heard of dancing? And before you answer that Moshing is not dancing, how the fuck can you dance to PTH? You can't whip out that hip hop crap, you can't even breakdance to it. Mosh that shit!

  • There's a difference between "Headbanging" and moshing. Freaking out ON THE SPOT is fine. But don't thrash around, hit people, collide with people, flail, etc. That's just fucking stupid.

  • haha

    they look so much younger

they are as always fucking amazing tho!

  • uh duh, they were only like ninteen when this video was added lol

  • dude if i was there i would rock the fuck out thats the only way to be when your listening to protest the fucken hero ROCK ON

  • wow protest the hero is the SHIT!!!!! ghad even live theyre so GOD LIKE!!!! fucking love those dudes!!! comment at the end: IM THE FUCKING ANTI-CHRIST!!! lol

  • amazing.

  • i love arifs hand movements

  • Those chicks on the side are more into it than the dudes in front! Protest Rules!

  • Is it a rule that guys have to be more into it than girls or something?

    I didn't realize this.

  • No, but if I were the guy with the camera I'd move over to where those girls are. Better view of the whole band. And chicks rockin out to Protest.

  • deffinently in my top 10 of most tallented bands! fer suuure

  • so amazing dont care what anybody says

  • I don't know what was wrong with them when you saw them live because they dont suck, the rock especially considering there age. As for the kids in the hat just leave them alone,it could just be that they have no idea who Protest is the first time i saw them live there were 20 people there and they were all standing around because they had never heard protest before. As for the scence kids leave them alone, its people being rude to other people that wrecking the scence, not people standing around

  • Hey guys, guess what?

    It's just a band.

I think everyone gets the the two boys in front were standing there. Maybe that's how they enjoy concerts. Shut up with all the stupid comments about understanding music complexity and faggy hat scene kids.

  • I wanna just beat the living shit outta those guys just standing around bored right in front of freakin' Protest the Hero!

  • whats wrong with that people thats PTH playing live in front of them just a couple of feet away and they are like fuckin bored.. i would be running like crazy and enjoying the fuckin moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i liked them before i saw them live. they weren't very good at warped.

  • Awesome live band.

  • is protest satanic? some lines they seem chritian others like satanest. i dont really care i like the sound either way.

  • No, Rody just likes talking shite. Its one of the fun things about this band.

  • No.. I doubt they're anything. But, he's speaking in the persona of the Prison Guard. So yeah.. If you don't know what that means, go do some research.

  • Nope, they're not Satanic, Arif (the bassist and lyric/song writer) wrote Kezia as a concept album that deals with a Prison Priest, a Prison Guard/Gunman, and Kezia herself.

  • I love the kids who don't know a good band when they hear it... way to stand around doing nothing fag hats.
