  • The best part is from 0:00 to the end.

  • holy crap i remember streets of rage...my parents hated that game hahahaha

  • unfuckinbelieveable

  • Every album is ISIS's best album, but Panopticon is my favourite by far. Perfect mix of massive riffs and clean melodies. That and I could listen to "In Fiction" literally all day.

  • Album sensational. It seems that I used drugs and did / have sex when I'm listening.

  • Pure intelligent waves of mind destroying Sludge/Post Metal riffs.

One of the greatest Metal experience.

  • 5:57 is the height of Panopticons crushing excellence.

  • 1:52 fcking awesome

  • I feel like I'm playing Streets of Rage for Sega Genesis for the whole 2min-ish time

ahh this song is amazing and brings back good childhood memories

  • no words to describe it .. just perfect

  • isis is clan and clan is me the observer and the observed are one in the panapticon enviroment and thus the control is maintained and strenghtened betwixt experiments upon the self and thus is the hive strenghtened

  • 5:57-6:48 is what I would like to call a spiritual orgasm.

  • Reminds me of a fallen anti-hero rising up again in an epic burst of power regurgitating through his despair...or some other poetic bullshit.

  • this + rainymood = relaxation

  • Metal as it should be! FUCK

  • The first time I heard this song, I had this profound feeling that I'd heard it somewhere before. I couldn't really explain the deja vu, but then I realized the recognition came from my soul. This song was a part of me, had been a part of me, before I ever heard a single note.

  • 1:53 my head just exploded.

  • Catastrophic and dissonant beauty.

  • so intense and beautiful

  • This is definitely one of my best musical influences.

  • they played 7 miles from my actual home.

i wasnt allowed go to see them coz i had school.

    and then they broke up.

    i was only 16 :(

  • Those eyes and (this) tower have seeped into our open veins

    Uncoiled was it's strength

    And our souls en masse

Poured down in sheets of rain

    And dissolved 'neath their feet

    Circling futher down

Our wills dissolve 'neath their feet

  • amazing band, truly talented. too bad they broke up though, i would have loved to go to one of their shows :/

  • In Fiction - Wills Dissolve - Syndic Calls. In that order

    Sonic perfection has been achieved.

  • @LessThanCool

I totally agree... Supreme combo. Like a ride to a some special places..

  • Awesome band, album, song. Play in Chicago... with Pelican.

  • Is this the song with Justin from Tool? I know there's one on this CD that has Justin on it.

  • @chudrocket Altered Course, but there might be other songs with Justin I'm not entirely sure.

  • If you need drugs to listen/enjoy this music you're not very smart.

  • @rudisimo666 I need drugs to enjoy life.

  • This album and Neurosis The Eye of Every Storm are probably two of the most epic post hardcore records ever made!

  • @UnleashedPassion1

    Neither album is post-hardcore.

  • Favorite song off this album

  • Great music!!

  • its all about wills disolve for me. one of my favourite songs. dont really like the rest of the album. anyone know if isis have done any other good melo parts/tracks? if you get back to me you are a legend xxx

  • large parts of in the absence of truth and wavering radiant are mellow, more obviously so than panopticon. check out dulcinea, very melodic, although like wills dissolve also contains some pretty crushing heavy parts. the central interlude in 20 minutes/40 years is the same.

and drugs aren't just for dickheads, although they can be.

  • cheers, you are officially a legend xxx

  • beautiful, epic music that doesn't have to be virtuous:))

  • i love this song, there's so much emotion , feeling in it. truly a masterpiece, the atmosphere is so freaking great... close your eyes, and just drift away

  • totally agree

  • Classic album

  • 5:56 wow what an ending! allmost sends your soul on fire even on a good day! :P

  • Hell yes brother! I love the epicness of the ending, my fav ISIS song to date!

  • Oh absolutely, so eerie and textured. Nice name by the way, mastodon is where it's at.

  • damn, they are good. period.

    soothes the soul.

  • Damn, I really dig this band a lot! There is so much feeling in this music!Totally in an atmospheric kind of way. I see the resemblance to Neurosis however,I find Neurosis to be a little heavier.I always hear Isis as being described as primarily metal/hardcore but after listening to this album,I just hear metal/hardcore as hardly even being secondary regarding this bands sound-at least from the first 4 tracks on this album. This reminds me of a band called Sianspheric or Dredg or even Team Sleep.

  • favourite song of the album

  • I think I just died listening to this song. I'm gonna go get high and listen to it.

  • drugs are for dickheads.

  • @bentnob hahahaha. i'm a recovering dickhead. no more drugs for me

  • sweet

  • @rrippp I can't seem to drop em... Never been to rehab, suppose that would help

  • yeah, been there, done that. 4 years 'clean and sober' apart from my occasional Red Bull binges (that stuff is surprisingly potent). I know how hard it can be to stop - it took me a LONG time and a lot of work.

  • @bentnob fail

  • @bentnob Letting people do what they want without calling them dickheads is NOT for dickheads
