i don't know...A.Ball said that Eric is dangerous and that he isn't sure if the chracter would be intrested by someone else than himself....... so he said that he isn't going to listen to the fans of eric and sookie.....
I also read an interview with A Ball that said that he says false and outrageous things on purpose to keep fans guessing. If he wants to continue to have a series, he is going to have to follow the books and the focus of the books starting at book 3 is Sookie and ERIC. I think he will follow them to some extent in that he will at least play out the love triangle.

I agree totally......I see bill getting more grey with each episode whereas sookie and eric become clearer. The chemistry between these two is amazing and rather breath taking! The books are amazing and Alan Ball bless his cotton socks is doing a sterling job unlike most screen writers who trash things (think twilight here!) YEY Team Eric All The Way. AS and AP both child actors, both consumate professionals and have maturity beyond there years. Especially AP. You can see it in their scenes. They will have long successful careers!!

The 3rd season is coming Summer of next year. We'll have to wait until probably June or July of 2010.
