Amazing. I heard her sing this in recital with piano only. and at the end, after the orchestra finished, everyone was silent for what seemed minutes...then of course everyone went crazy. It was amazing.
@guaiguai100 Just because she is choosing to sing this very lyrically (as it should be) does not make it a pop version. The instrumentation is light, as you can hear for yourself, so it doesn't take Wagnerian vocals to sing this. I've personally heard Kiri in a concert hall and opera house, WITHOUT ANY AMPLIFICATION and was struck by the power of her voice actually. I had no trouble hearing her.

Esta es una aria muy dificil para cualquier soprano, la Sra. Tekanawa la canta bien con la tecnica adecuada y siguiendo toda la dinamica que marca la partitura. Ami personalmente no me llena mucho las espectativas de cada vez que escucho esta aria.

Perfect control of the breath. How does she do it? I think she was born with it....and her voice has changed very little over the years.
