Great band. In college I drove to Canada to see them play. Thought it would be in an arena - it was in a tiny bar. I was bummed for them (I thought they had to be huge), psyched for me (sat right in front of them and talked with the band after the show).
I remember when they played this new on much music. While everyone else was watching mtv i was listening to bands not many heard of.Brighton Rock one of my favorite bands.
This album is so good it hurts. I have often thought about after I win the lottery and I am living in a trailer in New Mexico. I will set up a station that just blasts this album and the likes!!!! ( loyal daily worker bee here in Canada)
saw them at Edwards no8 Birmingham UK on this tour when i was 18 years old, great times, great music, great memories, still listen to them now...fantastic
greg frasier is one of my brother simone's best friend back in the day greg wrote alot of these songs at the house in martindale that my brother lived in with besty before they married the guy playin air drums towards the end with the long hair and mustache and hat is simone and at the end of the video with the blur t sghirt standing up clapping is simone woe how cool!
I saw these guys at a retirement gig in toronto....can't remember what bar. But Russian Blue opened for them. Was great show by both bands. Maybe the opera house.
What I wouldn't do to travel back to the late-80s and once again see this band in its prime. One of the gigs I did attend took place on a snowy night in Toronto. The weather was so bad, in fact, hardly anyone showed up. But I was there, and Brighton Rock jammed several songs (this was supporting Love Machine) in typical enthusiastic style. Wicked.
That's awesome, I remember opening for these guys, some cabaret, somewhere in Canada, playing bass in some big haired band I was in, I must have been 17 or 18 at the most, not even old enough to be in a bar. Between all the hairspray, the cigarette smoke, and the gals with cheap perfume, it's all a bit hazy, lost a lot of memories of those days from the CFC's in the hairspray tins I think. lol Damn, Lado guitars and big hair babes, the 80's music business was wicked! Bring it back. :-)
hey mybasshas7strings it sounds like it would have been a great time to be young i wish i could have been there keep on rocking with your musical talents
This band was the real deal - they got screwed by the record company ... Last kick ass concert summer of 92 on the Danforth.... Rock On! Reunion Time Boys!
Don't really know which album is better; Young Wild & Free, Take A Deep Breath, or Love Machine. I have and love them all. Still listen to them all the time too! From Fredericton, N.B. Canada!
All their albums are awesome. You can listen to all of them from start to finish and like every song. That's unheard of nowadays, even back when it was unheard of.
I partied with these guys twice in Fredericton, N.B. Miss this band sooo bad, they rock better than this new fuckin crap. I got my pics taken with them too, thanx, BR
The keyboard player used to play for a band called Rogers as their guitarist. Good player. If your listening, do you remember the Clifton in Barrie? Good Times!
i remember seeing Rogers in 1984 at the Doctors hotel in Belleville Ontario. Johnny stood on a chair at our table and did the tapping part for eruption. Man how'd he get stuck on keys???

It's not a bad song but playing an E minor solo phrase over E major chords is not so good. Dude can play, I'm just being nitpicky.
