@WaWagasman i watched an interview a couple years back when james was with kawasaki and he was getting beat by ricky and james said that he just couldnt keep up with him because he didnt have the power that the four strokes had, yes you can make the arguement that four strokes have to be twice the size to make the same power, big deal all that matters is that the technology with 4 strokes is only going to get better and they are going to continue to make them and they will still be what pros use

@park343er That's true. I personally prefer 2 strokes cause they're a lot of fun to ride and maintenance is cheap for em. I do prefer riding the 2 strokes, but the the 4 strokes are more powerful. I had a 05crf450r, and that thing was faster then a 250 2 stroke in everyway. that was a carburated bike.... I haven't gotten the chance to ride a fuel injected 450, but everyone swears by fuel injection now. The Rand D they put in 450's is phenominal

@park343er I love having power, but when I had my 05 crf450r, all I did was put Pro taper fat bars on it, suspension revavlve and a Slip on Akrapovic Exhaust... No motor work needed. They allready have more then enough power from the factory. Hell, I saw a helmet cam vid of Michael Byrne hitting a 90 triple right out of a turn... He took the inside and was half throttle in 3rd gear!

If you're buying a Yamaha they're happy,They would prefer you buying the YZ450F, YZ250F for obvious reasons- They put the most money, time, and R&D into the 4 strokes, and there more money. They still keep the YZ125 and YZ250 around cause they sell enough for it to be worth selling them. Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki stopped making there 125, 250 2 strokes, cause they were selling more 4 strokes
