Smoking tobacco is very nice. That said, I have decided to quit. This ad is just insulting and patronizing, and if somebody came up to me with this kind of rhetoric in the steet, I'd be more included to smack them in the face than give up smoking.
And yet the greatest men of all time have usually been smokers. You do know there is more to life than merely prolonging it? Smoking is a little pleasure that breaks up your day , smokers have a general non-chalance for your smug fear mongering.
I'm an ex-smoker, as well, and I look at this and laugh. I don't understand... people look at life as a constant mathematical equation. : / Better to smoke in moderation and enjoy something fun life has to offer than to make life a stressful hell. Also, Jeanne Calment pretty much kills the idea that no one that smokes can live a healthy, long life. Oh wait! They never told you that you didn't have to immerse yourself in a world of tobacco-only-nutrition? Go figure...
And the ones speaking out against harmless tobacco use (harmless meaning "not affecting them", and relating to other peoples' business), in my opinion, need to pay for their public schooling, their kids' day time meals, and many other free-from expenses. Also, why not chip in a couple hundred extra when you're paying your taxes? WELL NOW, get every smoker to quit and you'll have that on your hands. I smoke for tradition, for spirituality and connection; religiously and medicinally. Stress kills.

Maybe you should try out meditation sometime, it's a bit more healthy and effective than puffing up.
And you might be able to stay away from some diseases too while at it.
