Woah, Man, We hit the big time! It's Armageddon, and we're feeling fine! It's our world, (you know you better believe it) just look around, look around, look around, look around! HOLD ON Time for destruction! HOOOLD ON For you instruction IT'S ALL GONNA CHANGE NOW, That Boogaloo is back in town! (Okay you little kids get this) Everything you see destroyed, the world is just a toy, And the sky explodes, and night winds are blowing cold!
I'm going to pulverize, and exterminate, and if it stands I'm gonna annihilate it, gonna raze, bash, crash, break, oh it's fun to devastate! Now that the waiting time is done, Look at the havoc 've created but we've won, It took two thousand years, But Boogaloo is back in town! (Yeah Boogaloo's back in town!) Okay listen to this! You say we don't get it, how can people still forget it! But thanks for all of your assistance, Nothing pays off like persistence!
Everything you see destroyed, the world is just a toy, And the sky explodes, and night winds are blowing cold! HOOOLD ON For you instruction It's all gonna change now, That Boogaloo is back in town! He's back in town! BOOGALOO! Boogaloo is back in town!
I recorded this on VHS tape back in the day when I was a kid. Loved it and was one of my favorite Ghostbusters episodes. But I remember seeing it again on USA in the 90's and they took this part out for timing/syndication/whatever purpose.
I vividly remember this song from my childhood. I remember thinking it was a cool song ... but how disturbing that a massive demon was singing as it was attacking a city. The randomness made it freaky for me, as a kid.
Well I don't know about you but the giant singing monster reminds me of Audrey II from "Little Shop of Horrors" and it's alternate ending where armys of giant Audrey IIs attack cities and pretty much doomed the world.
Boogaloo eerily reminded me of Audrey II from 'Little Shop of Horrors.' For awhile after this special, I thought Levi Stubbs (R.I.P) voiced Boogaloo. Kind2311, what did they use to fill this sequence in the syndicated version?
Sadly, nothing filled this sequence. Just skips right to the scene after it. There's also other pieces taken out for syndication as I used to have it on VHS and the episode was about 45 minutes long.
Boogaloo is a demon rather than a ghost, right?

Interesting, indeed
Dunno why this part was "edited" out of the original or consecutive airings?

Boogaloo kind of looks like a totem pole.

I still own the original airing on VHS. Sorry, but it isn't 45mins. long even with the commercials.

@CitySon
I know what you mean. Both Boogaloo and Audrey II are terrifying, world-conquering monstrosities, yet both are lively and brilliant singers XD
