  • Have you noticed that the scenic images--winter, mountain, forest--always fit perfectly with Agalloch's music?

  • Greetings from Ecuador.....

  • Great guitar sounds

  • my girlfriend broke up with me today.. it was real.. i'm normally strong and can handle anything.. but somehow.. that made me cry for hours unend.. then i started listening to this. it just.. makes me feel at peace. and even though i'm not thinking suicide.. i can somehow say i'm ready to die.

    Agalloch <3

  • @sk8rt33 This song makes me feel at peace as well, but It also makes me want to embrace life and be a part of it. Can't say I'm ready to die...then I wouldnt be able to listen to Agalloch...hey...if you like Agalloch check out a French band called Les Discrets...you'll like it I promise.

  • 2:24 is one of the most beautiful riffs ever made

  • This song is twelve minutes long and every time it ends I get sad because I wish it could last forever.

  • Dude why are you doing this to me :/

  • amon+amarth+sutur

  • I'm not sure who KSCIAA is, but I'm thankful for all these fantastic videos posted

  • this tipe of music. you either get it. or you dont

  • Im sorry but a friend suggested this band.. Not a big fan of it. All the stuff sounds the same in my opinion.

  • @xXMetalMan666Xx if you didnt enjoythe first album try "ashes against ther grain" and just lay down while listening and close your eyes. :)

  • love it

  • best intro ever...\m/

  • Love this song, probably my favorite Agalloch song. Either this or Hallways of Enchanted Ebony. Love the atmosphere :)

  • I discovered Agalloch an hour ago an amazing band IMO

  • how can people dislike their music?! :o

  • does anyone else expect a scary face to jump out of the forest at like the last five seconds?

  • That music awakes inspiration, try to listen while you write your thoughts....you'll find your real path to inspiration.

  • By far one of the best & my favorite intro to a song.....hands down!

  • sensazioni ultraterrene

  • Who took this picture?

  • Hust what the doctor ordered to darken my tortured soul.

  • nevermore-cenotaph

  • Kikyo

  • of course I believe in Pantheism to an extent..

to me, every type of matter living or natural is a reflection of god. I see god through nature everywhere. agalloch hits home for me because they capture that same essence through music. beautiful. natural and dark. I know its popular for a scene of metalheads to be athiest or whatever, but I am my own fucking person. I believe in what I want. through the raw power of this music, the dark tones ironically give me a peace of mind and connection.

  • i love the music......i listen to it all.....i love the poeticness of it.....

  • I am like a real old freak, real old and these guys kick ass! In my day this would have been awesome acid music.

  • I remember the first time i heard this. It's still as haunting to meas it was that first time, some beautiful lyrics and metaphors they use in this. And this reminds me of the older days of my life. This song will forever be engraved in my memory.

  • agalloch ist eine einzigartige band...kenne keine vergleichbare...die mischung aus melancholie , zarten, schönen melodien und harten parts machen sie zu einer meiner lieblingsbands..weiter so!

  • best group ever. <3

  • shit this is the first time I've ever heard this band. It's really good. good mixture of folk and black metal with a dark ambience.

  • this is one of best youtube videos

  • this is the only band that makes you feel like you are truly experiencing what emotion really is.

  • Check out Springtime Depression by Forgotten Tomb if you like this!

  • I couldn't have explained it better. you're right my friend

  • My new fav Agalloch song, was She Painted Fire Part 2. Guitarwork hauntingly beautiful.

  • Listening to this in the rain or snow is just ...

    Absolutely wonderful. Try it, really.

  • jep, Great Band.

Hear their Side Project 'Sculptured' ;) its great too

  • Haunting.

  • :C tak

  • mesmerizing...the first riff is absolutly gorgeous... i love how well the instuments blend and how the songs flow so well

  • this song makes me want to climb to the highest point and conqueror everything insight. true story...

  • Thank you, Agalloch. Thank you.

  • I think my ears just went to heaven...

  • Agalloch brought me to Pantheism.

    Love the music

    Love the lyrics

    Love Agalloch

    Love nature

The most beautiful things in this world for me...

  • Same here!!! :):)

    I <3 Agalloch

  • @DrSoltberg so i had to look Pantheism on Google, and loved the ideology =)

  • Most beautiful sounds that my ears have ever heard....

  • This morning, I was exhausted, broken, will-less to get myself to prepare for a day of work....and then I took a listen of this song. I closed my eyes, and just absorbed every note, ever pitch, and every word. This song brought me back to myself and helped me find peace. No song has ever done that for me before. There is something unearthly about this song, and this band. Perhaps it is because, through their music they have achieved a sound level like none other. Simply, Hail Agalloch. \m/

  • I just read this while listening to the intro of this song for the first time...the combination sent me chills down my spine.

  • Cool beans man

  • you're right bro°

    Hail Agalloch!

  • @Sayujinse I've had the exact same feeling with this song, brings back memories that were once forgotten. You can really admire the talent from this band, truely amazing master piece. Thank you Agalloch for this never to be forgotten music.

  • @ConvokedDemon And thank you for sharing.

  • @Sayujinse

Hi, this band reminds a little to pink floyd for the psychedelic parts?

  • @remolino0867 I suppose it could. Good observation. But I would not be one to know particularly, I was never much of a follower of Pink Floyd. Sorry!

  • @remolino0867 I always thought so as well.

  • When I listen to this song I don't want it to end. It's so incredible. Hail Agalloch!

  • Wow.. this band is amazing..

  • The vocals embellish the band's eccentic style, otherwise, it's merely instrumental, which isn't detrimental, but less characteristic.

  • I wish they were instrumental....the black metal vocals kinda fuck up the amazing peacefull atmosphere.

  • They're a different type of black vocals, with more reverb and being less in front. So if you think this is intrusive....

  • hmm....if i'm relaxing to their stuff with the volume up, will there be any jump out of my skin moments?

  • I don't think so...I've heard all their albums now, and the only one I can really remember something like that in is the dissonant ending to Ashes. It's not heavy, but it's disturbing.

  • no, theyre not like grunts

  • The black metal vocal approach helps strenghten the otherwordly atmosphere for me.

  • try The Hawthorne Passage by Agalloch :)

  • It's currently my favorite song from them. (before, it was Our Fortress Is Burning II: Bloodbirds)

  • They are a bit like a Pink Floyd for black metal fans .

  • Alot of Agalloch's songs seem to be hypnotic and repetetive.

  • If you like to call it like that...

    They're pure magic

  • LOVE Agalloch

  • i get shivers down my spine listening to this... though i like the second part more, i love this too \m/ for life

  • you know what really saddens me today? agalloch is coming to germany, they are supporting dornenreich a band i don't really know, anyways, i got my ticket weeks ago and now i happen to have no money to pay the travel from cologne, where i live, to berlin. it sucks so much. i know it´s really stupid posting this here but i just happened to realize it today and i feel like telling everyone how...haha. pathetic me.

  • That sucks man!

  • Thats f*cking hard man! Best of luck! Wouldnt want to miss this :S

  • Agalloch was playing near me, but i didn't go on purpose, as i feared it would ruin the experience and the feeling i get when listening to Agalloch.

  • Epic Fail ;)

I saw them last Saturday and they were mind-numbing. Great experience seeing them live! Even improved it all for me ;)

  • Dude if i knew this I'd give you the fucking money! You should have posted this earlier and we would support you to go!!Damn..

  • I think my favorite song off this album, possibly my favorite by them. It's tough though, everything they do is downright amazing.

  • so peacefull, and makes you think a lot at same time. its just soo ... no words could discribe.

    Fabulas

  • fabulous?

  • so deep...

  • very atmospheric..good melodies,good band

  • agalloch ...two months and i'll see them!!!

  • Stunning.

  • This band is just awesome

  • i used to run a fanzine back in late 80's, so underground was my speciality.i "discovered" bands with true talent, witch now they all succeded.Samael, sick of it all,Deathrow,Bolthrower,... demo tapes, flyers.one band after another leads you to the result YOU mean as perfect music.that's how i found the great Agalloch. now i'm a believer.REAL TALENT,real feeling. i just love them.cheers from hot Greece bro, keep up with the good music

  • excellent music!!!, true and deep!

  • Agalloch has this calming effect on me. I Love this song

  • sublime ... O darkness, you are my light.

  • Love the song, nice pic too.

  • Thanks.

  • if you want to hear GOOD music with feeling ALWAYS search to underground scene for "new" bands. This band is so inspired by winter's scenery so everytime you listen to them, you're in the woods walking on snow with wolves, breathing crystal fresh air and smeling pine and wet wood...that's why we love these guys

  • These guys are truly the wizards of progressive metal. They sound unlike anybody else out there. I'd love to see them on tour sometime in a classic, Opera style venue setting, with lots of background visuals and light effects! One can dream, right?

  • So beautiful

  • Just brilliant...........

  • what makes me love this band, is they are such great! music+lyrics from them are 5 stars...and they are not that known, makes em special! i love em.

  • Great song, surprises me that so few people have watched their videos.
