I keep watching the first fight between Manny Pacquiao vs. Erik Morales and also watched Pacquiao's three bouts against Juan Manuel Marquez and I asked himself what if JMM did the exact same thing El Terible did?
In this fight, Morales had the same counterpunching tactics Dinamita had on Pacquiao, but he mixed up his game and also smothered Manny along the ropes and piling on more blows.
Had JMM push the fight forward to mix up his game, forcing Manny to punch backwards and smother him along the ropes and piled on more blows, JMM could've had a much better argument in his three fights against Pacquiao.
Instead, JMM didn't get Pacquiao against the ropes and Pacquiao kept coming while JMM kept backing up and trying to counter all the way. That's why JMM's not getting benefit of the doubt from the judges in those three fights where he has two losses and a draw.

After this lose, Freddie Roach started to train Manny to use his right more, not more than the left but just enough so he isn't just a left handed only fighter. He proved in his next two fights with Morales that he is much more difficult to beat when he uses both of his hands.

Man. This was the last fight that Pacquiao had that wasnt fixed and payed for. Fucking shame. In the next two fights that Erik lost to MANNY, no damage was done to Erik. Erik basically gave up cuz he had no more gas :D....I want to really say is that MANNY never hurt Erik in the next fights as did Erik in the first fight :D

Manny Pacqauio was not weak from any blood test the gloves don't make a difference. what happened here is Morales out boxed him by countering his wild punches used head movement to make him miss AND pay and hit him in the Body and head from different angles without standing still and did not move straight back when moving away. he dissected his style Pacmans style

@dru713281 Hatton himself has said that the Mayweather fight was what finished him, he was undefeated and therefore his confidence was at an all time high. Hatton also showed diminished punch resistance after the Mayweather fight and before the Pacquiao fight (think it was Laconza but i never really followed Hatton's career closely). He got beaten up in sparring too. Mayweather was not to know Pacquiao would run scared at the mention of drug testing, Pacquiao backed out of negotiations.

@dru713281 LOLOLOL you have absolutely no knowledge of boxing whatsoever man, the jab is extremely important for nearly all boxers regardless of style but Mayweather actually rarely jabs when compared to most boxers (stylistically), nearly all of his punches are power punches (especially lead left hooks and lead right hands, which btw are important punches against southpaws) which is partially why he is so hard to outpoint. @dru713281 It is a known fact amongst boxers? You don't know boxing. Do a little search here on youtube for 'Mayweather techniques against southpaws' and you will get a boxing lesson, it takes Mayweather 1 or 2 rounds longer to figure out a southpaw generally then he does what he always does and that is dominate (Castillo was an exception in the 1st fight). What does Tyson or Foreman have to do with this? Mayweather called Mosley out, simple facts are simple.
morales beat pacquiao because he's primarily a sharp-shooting straight puncher, he's got a great right hand to the body which is also pac's weakness. and he can fight well up close, toe to toe

It makes you feel weak for a couple of hours if it's a lot of blood but blood testing for drugs only takes a tiny bit of blood so is unlikely to weaken you unless you are a pussy. Noone has ever asked Pacquiao to take blood on the day of the fight with Mayweather, Mayweather's team even checked with the USADA that they wouldn't take it that close to the fight and they said they wouldn't. Research goes a long way.

@dru713281 Did you see Morales in the weigh-in for the 3rd fight? The man was like a ghost and was clearly weight drained and dehydrated even more than the 2nd fight. Who knows why Morales took the fights, maybe the money was too good or maybe it was his fighting pride but there are always a lot of Pacquiao's opponents willing to put themselves at a disadvantage so i can only assume that it's money. Pacquiao does not call the shots, Arum, Roach and Koncsz do.

Morales simply punched Pacquiao more effectively and often using his strategy of counter punching Pacquiao like Marquez did. Cut too much weight? Dehydrated??? Pacquiao fought DLH at an insane catchweight, he fought Hatton after Mayweather took his heart and provided the blueprint for how to beat him, he fought Mosley who Mayweather exposed for being past it and now he is fighting Marquez at welterweight after Mayweather showed the world that Marquez can't handle that much weight.

@dru713281 Hatton himself has said that the Mayweather fight was what finished him, he was undefeated and therefore his confidence was at an all time high. Hatton also showed diminished punch resistance after the Mayweather fight and before the Pacquiao fight (think it was Laconza but i never really followed Hatton's career closely). He got beaten up in sparring too. Mayweather was not to know Pacquiao would run scared at the mention of drug testing, Pacquiao backed out of negotiations.

Do a little search here on youtube for 'Mayweather techniques against southpaws' and you will get a boxing lesson, it takes Mayweather 1 or 2 rounds longer to figure out a southpaw generally then he does what he always does and that is dominate (Castillo was an exception in the 1st fight). What does Tyson or Foreman have to do with this? Mayweather called Mosley out, simple facts are simple.

It makes you feel weak for a couple of hours if it's a lot of blood but blood testing for drugs only takes a tiny bit of blood so is unlikely to weaken you unless you are a pussy. Noone has ever asked Pacquiao to take blood on the day of the fight with Mayweather, Mayweather's team even checked with the USADA that they wouldn't take it that close to the fight and they said they wouldn't. Research goes a long way.

@dru713281 Did you see Morales in the weigh-in for the 3rd fight? The man was like a ghost and was clearly weight drained and dehydrated even more than the 2nd fight. Who knows why Morales took the fights, maybe the money was too good or maybe it was his fighting pride but there are always a lot of Pacquiao's opponents willing to put themselves at a disadvantage so i can only assume that it's money. Pacquiao does not call the shots, Arum, Roach and Koncsz do.
