  • Cranbrook is the best of both worlds. Small town with bigger city amenities such as an international airport, college, and a regional hospital. And your living in an amazingly beautiful area with endless recreactional activities. Honestly, you can't get that in many other places around the world.

I would have liked to see the Kootenay Ice in this though. And I have to agree completely with mooneyblaylock10, that rush hour scene is so misleading, the Strip and Victoria Ave is way busier.

  • Go buy a lot at Eagles Nest, beautiful place.

  • This Cranbrook rather puts my Cranbrook (Kent, UK) in the shade! Looks like an impressive place!

  • thats my home town. proud 2 b livin here with my family here and in creston

  • Were moving June next year (2011) and have already brought a home. I cant wait to start our lives in the beautiful east Kootenay region and Cranbrook has all the amenities. Our family is doing it right...moving away from the big smoke of Edmonton and starting a quality of life that we longed for and planned for many years. I'm so excited and I seriously recommend following your dream to get away from it all and live for quality of life in Cranbrook BC.

  • We moved here 4 years ago and have never regretted it. It's a beautiful little city with lots going on. I agree with someone else's comment that if you want to criticize Cranbrook, be sure to have lived elsewhere first. I've lived in Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Creston, and in the USA, and I'm proud to return to Cranbrook and call it HOME. Great video.

  • Lived there. The town has been going through a beautification project but there is still a lot of work to do. Downtown needs a lot of work done to it and, for the love of god, tear down that old Super-Valu building. It's a freaking eyesore. The Prestige Inn seems out of place on Van Horne.

  • I like the "rush hour" scene. They must have waited for a quick break in traffic to film that.

  • I would like to network with folks here, I want to move to Cranbrook and would love to settle in that heavenly place,

  • Thank you for showing how beautiful and inspiring Cranbrook is -- its a great place to visit and live!

  • I have been living in Cranbrook for 3 years now and its been great. Moved from Ontario and never regretted it.

  • I may join you soon my friend, I would love to move to Cranbrook and looking to network with people who may help me find a job there

  • I love Cranbrook, it's my hometown and I can't think of any more beautiful or wonderful place to be. I travel back and forth across BC twice a year, and I lived in Vancouver for a while... No place like Cranbrook. Honestly =)

  • are there any jobs out there?

  • What a beautiful setting awesome scenery! Love to visit

  • Met the most special people when I lived in Mayook Valley, part of Cranbrook. They are still precious friends. Living in Cranbrook you feel close to nature, yet there's a lot of culture. I live in Santa Cruz, California now, but Cranbrook is my second home - always. And I can't wait to get back for a visit.

  • Great video. I too am from Cranbrook, and have lived elsewhere in the province. Those who say Cranbrook has nothing to offer, can go try living in some other regions. I can not think of another city that offers what Cranbrook does...outdoor rec, good indoor facilities, good hospital, college, and a drive to move forward. The only thing I don't like about this video is the "rush hour" scene. A little misleading for those who drive on Victoria Ave or the Strip on any weekday afternoon!

  • Love it, I spent 3 solid years living outside of Fort Steele, up the wild horse river, and I miss it so much! Thanks for putting this together, from a now city dweller that yearns for the fresh air of Fisher Peak again!

  • Not Alot Otherwise!?! Nice. That's the attitude some of the locals here have, and I've just never figured out why. I've only been here a few years, & to me this is the best place to live in western Canada!! There is so much to do outside here it's mindblowing. If the city is your thing, well, then i guess there is not alot otherwise, and, well, good luck with that...
