It is true that there are more white people on food stamps than any other ethnicity. However if you look at the numbers as a percentage of their ethnic population you get a completely different result. Only a small percentage of the people owned slaves and those that did owned quite a few, But that is neither here nor there. White people are on food stamps for the same reasons as anybody else.
