wow, I'm surprised, I got toon link first try with Kirby. first I turned into a heavy block and crushed him a load of times. then dash attacks then I got that thing that slows time and I hammered him off the screen.

You first gotta complete the subspace emissary (beat tabuu) before the door appears.
