  • Dionysus wasn't a sun god. But you've probably already heard that here in these comments.

  • ISIS WAS NOT A VIRGIN. SHE HAD SEX WITH OSIRIS AND SET

  • @Ataries Are you daft? She was virginal.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX source? i've been studying egyptian mythology for 20 years. i have 3 coppies of the book of the dead. she had sex first with set. her brother. because nut his wife also sister couldn't concieve. she gave birth to anubis. then set got pissed and cut up osiris. isis put him back together and made a golden penis which she used to have sex withhim after she woke him before sending him to the realm of the dead. i've never heard or read a different version.

  • @Ataries thus concieving horus. please study this shit before you believe it. also, horus did not turn water into wine, if he were going to turn water into anything it would have been beer, the staple of the time. he didn't walk across water, nor do we actually know when he was born because all it says is isis hid in the reeds for 9 months. saturn's birth was celebrated by the ancient greeks and romans on december 25th.

  • @Ataries so yes please give me a viable link to this idea that isis was indeed a virgin.

  • @Ataries And you're telling me I need to study this? It's usually accepted that it he was born in Koiak. Most people will say this correlates to out November, but the Egyptian calander wasn't fixed until they adopted the Alexandrian calander, and this placed his birth on... December 25th. He was also assimulated with the god Helios, who was born on December 25th.

  • @Ataries This isn't in the Book of the Dead. This is Plutarchs account (an account that doesn't appear in Egypt). It's always her Ba-spirit conceiving Horus (such as in the Pyramid Texts where it's her Ba, Soptet). In the Book of the Dead, interestingly enough, Nut is impregneted via light. (She's also described as hwnt in the Pyramid Texts, just as Isis is described at Abydos. Hwnt means virgin). I've never heard of Isis copulating with Set. And it's Nephthys; not Nut.

  • @TheTrollFU not to mention the fact that she had a full sex life BEFORE that. >>

  • @Ataries Where do you get this?

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX the book of the dead, various egyptian documents i've seen, my mythology class from collage. go tell a collage professor all that shit and see what they do. you can't actually take anything not written in egypt as truth. i'm sure there are other versions where she does not produce anubis herself, but the version in my book of the dead says she did. reguardless of dates which are inconclusive because of so many versions out there, not one of them says

  • @Ataries that she's a virgin. isis and osiris were around a long time before they had horus.

  • @Ataries And your point is? That's like the people who say that Isis couldn't conceive Horus virginally because she and Osiris were married. It doesn't mean anything. They never produced an heir, which is why Set took the throne, and Horus had to prove that he was the legitimate successor.

  • @Ataries Set was Nephthys' child! In some variations it's with Set, Osiris, or Re, and is raised by Isis (like a midwife) but he is never Isis' own child. I have both Budge's and Faulkners translations of the Book of the Dead and no where does it say that.

You then ignore the references I gave. Isis never physically engages with Osiris to conceive Horus. It's always - ALWAYS - her Ba-spirit that conceives him. And the fact that Isis was refered to as hwnt wrt, proves my case further.

  • @ MaxReboMystic this video blows.... a bunch of regurgitated info that isn't even your own research, and you want to criticize humans for passing on "memes" to each other?..News flash retards, that's what humans do! dim wits lol...

  • @romney27 Spending the last ten years reading books on the subject doesn't count as "research"? I don't concur.

  • @MaxReboMystic you fail to discern symbolism's and behaviors. humans being human is hardly weird.

  • Why is it that atheists think they can pick and choose scholarly material on the repetitive nature of myth, its commonalities among peoples, then conclude that epistemology explains religion? It's great and all that you can imitate a rat examining the walls of its cage, but no one who truly has faith, thinks you will understand the nature of the cage. But it does make for great conversation!

  • @GamerFTW21 You are aware that the Pyramid texts involve the resurrection of the Osiris-king to the Imperishable stars and are dated way before the OT was even being written? It wasn't prophesied, either. It was just a blueprint for the Gospel writers, who used the Septuagint traslation. The virgin/miraculously born and resurrecting god was a promordial religious concept that existed in various stages. It wasn't unique to Judaism (which didn't even have an afterlife at first) or Christianity.

  • @GamerFTW21

The first Century Christians were not Jews.

The moment a Jew accepts that Christ is the dying/resurrecting son of God, born of a virgin, he CEASES to be a JEW.

  • @GamerFTW21

They talked about Hercules too. Is he real?

  • its all borrowed mythology and religidiots get all butt hurt when u put it in their faces

  • You freaking liar... Guys watch my video entitled "15 lies in one video" it reveals the false claims... flat out lies of this video.

  • @Domodeath Looked at it. Didn't impress me much.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX No, Truth doesn't always impress liars like yourself.

  • @Domodeath No. Sophistic misconceptions about comparitive mythology, i.e. lies, doesn't impress me.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Perhaps you should do some reading: Isaiah 53.

  • @Domodeath I did. You're point for that was?

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Do you know who it is about?

  • @Domodeath The "suffering servent." Oh, you think this a prophecy? Sorry. Typology is at work here. It's about as prophetic as Immanuel's birth.

  • @Domodeath I looked for your video on your channel. I can't find it. I would love to see it. :)

  • surviving bible fragments and scriptures testify of Yeshua and His Father YHWH, Elohim. What made Christ different from other so called son of gods is that He was self appointed by, and had authority from God Himself. He spoke through His Father. He and the Father are one also. He is the way, the truth and the life. He also died for His message wich makes Him different. He didn't ask for sacrifices or to make war but to love your brother and enemy. Everybody accepted Him as the Messiah.

  • First it is already a useless thing to connect a Egyptian pagan culture with many gods and idols worship with the Jewish faith with one God. Christianity has one God and the Son so much different. Practices, gods, culture all much different. The God of Israel took his own Israelite people out of 'evil' Egypt. He spoke against many gods and idol worship. He was against man worship and material worship (gold and silver). Jesus was pacifist and sprea message of love. Thousands of surviving

  • After watching your video i have another name which you missed his Name was Karan who was main Fighter of Mhabhar Fight opponenet to Arjuna born from Virgin Mom;s tummy. he was king and warrior , but not form of God.

  • @TheIndianKafir Sri Yukteshwar was also re-surrected after three days.He was born in recent times.

  • Osiris was not a sun god! He was Lord of the Underworld. Did you just sit down, smoke a joint and make all this shit up?

  • @GenerationEpic90

Osiris is the personification of the sun when it is below the horizon (the underworld).

The sun rises the next morning, and was viewed as the resurrection of Horus.

No, I didn't "make this shit up". Read anything by E.A. Wallis Budge, James George Frazer, Manly P. Hall or read any writings by countless others who have studied the Egyptian Heiroglyphs.

I don't smoke pot either. Try again.

  • -Christ was not born on Dec 25th.

-Horus GOD OF THE SKY. was not born of a virgin, or on Dec 25th. He also didn't die- he is a God eternal.

-Mithra GOD OF LIGHT was a God born of a rock. He had no father. Mithra doesn't die, he ascends to heaven. Birth celebrated Dec 25.

-Tummuz' GOD OF FERTILITY & VEGETATION, 's father is never mentioned, and he was not virgin born. He dies, but never ressurects.

-Dionysus- GOD OF WINE was not virgin born. Zeus secretly slept with mortal woman=dionysus.

  • @GenerationEpic90

NO gods were literally born on Dec. 25, so the point is moot. It is the fact that Christ's birth came to be celebrated at around this time (Winter Solstice) that is so telling.

Horus: God of the sky. Sounds like the "big guy upstairs", doesn't it?

Mithra: God of light, born of a rock (Greek: Petras, later "Peter"). "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." -John 8:12

    Sound familiar?

  • Tammuz: God of fertility and vegatation. God of the RESURRECTION of life on our planet. His blood is wine, his flesh is the grain (bread). This is NOTHING like Jesus.... oh wait, it's exactly like Jesus.

Dionysus: God of wine. God of intoxication and ecstasy. Do Catholics drink wine (the blood of Christ) to engage is religious ecstatic union with Christ during the Eucharist? Yes. Yes they do.

  • @MaxReboMystic

Christ is not exactly like ANY of these Gods. That isn't the point. These Gods are far more ancient than Christ. The Jesus figure is a more modern retelling/amalgamation of these ancient concepts. THAT is the point.

  • Dionisis was not a sun god?????????

  • True love is about self-sacrifice

  • Couldn't one suggest that these God's are all the same individual, just different people's interpretation of the same son of God?

You're suggestion that since there exist similar religious figures doesn't hold much as a validation that God does not exist, rather the opposite, that He has been perceived in the same way by many different cultures and people, distant by Continents and thousands of years.

  • @ForImperium

I am not trying to prove that "God doesn't exist". Nowhere in the video do I ever say that.

    I am not an Atheist.

  • I am a Muslim, and I refute all what is shown in this video. Jesus was fatherless, but not son of God. Marry borne Jesus from the soul of God. He is the word of God, and he was able to give life to dead people, and heal the blinded people. he was a miracle, and he is now in heaven. God lifted him up to the heaven and he will come down to earth in the last day.. Again, I am a Muslim, and this is what Islam says about Jesus the Christ...

  • @Naseer958

have you forgotten that satan is there and that he is working so hard even though he knows he will go to hell fire

well!! these are his kids! and they are doing exactly what he is doing and they will end up in a near by seat

so let them do whatever they like to do, Islam will prevail at the end

so many of them have died trying to stop it from growing

    and look at it today

the fastest growing religion thanks to Allah

  • @abuhaifa2 Islam will prevail during the end times just as bible prophecy says it will. When John saw what we thought was '666' it in fact turns out to be 'Islam'. There is no coincidence of the correlation between the prophecies of Islam and Christianity. Islam is a direct revelation from Satan which it's followers are blinded to follow and carry out what is meant to be during the end times. I suggest you look up "similarities of Antichrist vs 12th imam".

  • @zcaz23 Thoes are not Muslims who you're talking about are Shittes who are a major part of their spelled name and they are one the wicked seeds of the Zionist Jews spounsored by an axe of evil, Iran Hezbollah of Lebanon -- It is in the Jewish best interest, to foment hate between the two Muslim parties, Sunnies and Shia'as -- Islam can be seen in Mecca not in Iran what you see in Iran is what Israel and Iran have adreed upon to tarnish the image of Islam when in fact they will fail to do so
  • @Naseer958 Islam was a false revelation who even Muhammad suspected was getting his information from Satan. Islam conveys the same end time prophecies as Christianity, but tells its story from the other side. As the bible says, "beware of false prophets and teachers who will twist my word and deceive many". This is exactly what Islam is, a perversion of Christianity which is plain to see by anyone who is not spiritually blinded. Do some research and accept Jesus as God before it's too late!

  • @zcaz23 First of all, regarding to what you said about Islam and Muhammed, I say you're just a washed-brain who has no mind to apply. Then how a man can be a God? If so, who was the God of the people of more than 2000 years ago. Then Islam is a complete system of life, gathering spirituality, morality and materiality whereas Christianity is just a religion of spirituality which never solve any problem of life in anytime.Read both the Bible especially Bernaba Gospel and Quran, and pply your mind.

  • @Naseer958 You don't think God could become man if he so choosed? YOU are the one trying to limit him. Why would God give revelation to so many prophets of the past, yet allow what was written to be corrupted? Why would he give another revelation that is contradictory to original texts to one man? To confuse people? I'm sorry but Jehovah is not that sloppy. It's very clear that Islam is from Satan to deceive the elect. Jesus.. aka God, is the only way to salvation, which will find you.

  • @Naseer958 If u want laws then u dont need a faulse prophet to tell u them. Jesus is one of the biggest philosophers ever. And if u wan tto talk about problems in islam then i can give u a handfull, pedophily, murders, slavery, women etc etc..

  • what means "SUNday" FOR CHRISTIAN ???

  • @winskovable You stupid? What means SATurday? To sit?!

  • @zcaz23

    SATURN day

  • @zcaz23

SATURDAY was named no later than the 2nd century for the planet Saturn

MONDAY is derived from Old English Mōnandæg and Middle English Monenday, which means "moon day".

THURSDAY is derived from Old English Þūnresdæg and Middle English Thuresday, which means "Thunor's day".

WEDNESDAY is derived from Old English Wōdnesdæg and Middle English Wednesdei, "day of Wodanaz", ultimately a calque of dies Mercurii "day of Mercury"

  • @GamerFTW21 Seemingly endless similarities. I'm sorry you don't see them.

  • @MaxReboMystic I'm sorry that you are deceived and ignorant enough to not check the facts, these 'similarities' have absolutely NO EVIDENCE OR BACKGROUND, if you could cite any sources that are not from mere MODERN DAY speculation without documentation, maybe I'll think of you as somewhat more intellectual than a vegetable.

  • @GamerFTW21 I'm not denying anything. I'm just pointing out the similarities.

  • @GamerFTW21 Whether she was truly virgin or not, or how the Divine spirit entered her body and through her body is, I would argue, irrelevent. This is not history. It is myth.

  • @GamerFTW21 They aren't "The same". They are just similar without coincidence. Like Jack Frost and Old Man Winter. They are the same concept. In the case of Dionysus, there is the idea of "life" brought forth into the material world through Divine means. Christ is the same idea. These are different stories told in different ways, but their essential existence to their respective cultures holds the same underlying purpose. As for Mithra/Mithras: iranica.com/articles/mithraism

  • @GamerFTW21 The myth of Christ states that he was born from the union of the Christian God with a Mortal woman named Mary. This is quite common knowledge.

  • @GamerFTW21 Dionysus is an anthropomorphic personification of 'vitality' and 'life'. "He" was resurrected every springtime, where his return was celebrated at the Bacchanalia. The Tauroctony of Mithra is symbolic of "life after death" and a "life that can comes forth THROUGH death". Mithras was worshipped AFTER Christ, you are correct. However, it is important to understand that 'Mithras' was a reimagined version of the Zoroastrian "Mithra" who was worshipped at least 300 years prior to Christ.

  • @GamerFTW21 Polytheisms, I think, are poorly understood. Polytheisms tend to include an all-encompassing deity. For example, Hinduism has "Brahman" who is described by the Oxford Dictionary of World Religions as "the one supreme, universal Spirit that is the origin and support of the universe". This isn't incredibly different from a Monotheistic point of view. Demi-Gods are beings born from the union of a God with a mortal. I hope you would agree that Christ clearly fits that definition.

  • @GamerFTW21 How can 'who' copy 'what' from themselves?

  • The moral of the story is, is that God can't be behind coincidences, right?

  • @5678567856 God is everything.

  • tammuz is sumerian/babylonian, not persian

  • @thegoochieguy Babylon is IN Persia!

  • of course the Sun is the Sun. Our word holy apparently comes from the days when any natural object found with a hole worn through it was considered sacred

  • nice vid, another wonderful demonstration of the ignorant utube atheist doofus possey on display

  • @agnostaxian I'm not an atheist. Try again.

  • I am Jesus bitches! :)

  • is this sponsored by Zeigeist ?

  • This is fucking retarded. Jesus and Dionysus have nothing in common.

Dionysus was the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness and ecstasy

  • @TheOneTrueLolMat And what was Jesus' first miracale? Plutarch and Diodorius state that Jews worshipped Dionysus. Infact, Hanukkah was based on the Brumalia festival of Dionysus.

  • @TheOneTrueLolMat Wine is consumed during the Catholic eucharist as the blood of Christ. Have you ever heard of "religious ecstasy"?

  • @GamerFTW21 There were no first century "Christians". What we have are a bunch of waring seculure and hellenized Jews branching off into their own groups, orally transmitting stories and fables, being collected and interpolated over time, until gaining a hold in the political realm, giving it the power to crush competing religions. Hell the earliest copies of the NT that we have don't even match with our cannon we have today. Christianity is nothing but a Jewish redressing of Egyptian myths.FACT

  • @GamerFTW21 Nothing of Jesus is from the O.T, and even then, since the Pyramid texts pre-date the O.T. by two thousand years, and forms the basic out-line of pre-Christian/pre-Jesus myths, themes, and motifs. (Such as the resurrection of the Osiris, and the feeding of bread and wine, and the virgin mother). The Mithraic connection comes from Mithras emerging from the rock, and this has the connection with Adam who is desribed as coming from the "virginal soil". GodAImighty has a video about this

  • jesus is fiction as adaptation religion. there is no evidence he was real person.

  • @GamerFTW21

plz read his resume. he is an expert on ancient scriptures.

he has spent a lifetime studying them.

  • @GamerFTW21

plz read the books, 101 myths of the bible", and ' african origins of jewish people". books are available on amazon.com

they were writteny by greenberg, the president of biblical archaeology society of NY. he explained the book how the jews copiec the egyptian mythical stories into thier bible.

  • The answer is very simple which is " there is no son of god" because God is almighty who creates us, and this cant be to have a common feature with god like having son , because the creator is the one who creates us.. how come the creator is like what he creates?!!

    God is One ...

God begets not and is not born...

God did not have a partner...

God created and owns the universe...

  • paul was the supreme master of synthesis, binding the end-of-the world jewish messiah to the redeemer gods of the mediterrenean. Paul had a profound comprehension of "paganism" and reinterpreted jesus to make him accessible to the world

  • Jesus myth of the myths that were repeated many

  • In the future, Harry Potter will be a reason for a religion"

-He died and then he resurrected-

  • All beliefs about Jesus, including his death and resurection and virgin birth come from the Old testament prophecies not any pagan myths. Plus, None of these comparisons are even true to begin with. Horus was not ressurected, he stayed in the under world, nor was he crucified. Such Suggestions of similarities have been discredited and disproven over and over

  • @manotruth777

plz check out the " 101 myths of the bible", by greenberg, the president of biblical archaeology soceity fo NY.

he expalined how jews copied stories from egyptian mythology into their so called holy books.

muslims and christians copied from jews.

  • @zulfitareen Thats assumptions at best. I have studied world religions. Like the Story of the Flood. Yes its found in many cultures, but that only because that would be just the case if it had actually occured. They are all witnesses that same event! Same with any stories of the first man and women etc.

  • @manotruth777

The flood probably really did happen, but there's no reason to assume it couldn't be merely a story shared by cultures that existed close to each other geographically.

  • @zulfitareen

Sounds like a good read. I'll have to check it out.

  • @MaxReboMystic it is a good idea.

gary greenberg is the president of biblical archaeology society of NY.

he is well know among ancient scriptures scholars.

he has been wrinting about egyptology for a very very long time.

  • @manotruth777 Horus was resurrected as Osiris every morning.

  • @MaxReboMystic So your say he was reincarnated as someone else(Osiris) every morning. Hmmm WOW what a similarity

  • @manotruth777 Huh?

  • @manotruth777

Egyptian myths predate OT, and yes HORUS did resurrect. Every day, in fact.

  • It doesn't matter. This information has no affect on Christian faith.

  • @msaint2326

Correct. Faith has nothing to do with Fact.

  • @MaxReboMystic Not only that....Life can not run on "fact" alone. We are by nature, emotional, artistic, inquisitive, caring, hating, and in so many ways, esoterically thinking beings....intellectual alone, will not cut it. Faith matters....for most every person.

  • @msaint2326 Faith based on lies will get you nowhere. We base our lifes on originization and facts. Without there wouldn't be civilization and your life wouldn't be as glamarious.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX and your FACT based on your faith is only FACT because a sex-crazed pedophile said it??? Let me ask you, how often did the big MO get a "revelation" after testosterone created the need for new law. Imagine...outlawing adoption just because you have a hard on! Now that is faith baby! wow! Who knew God bowed to the big MO's libido?

  • @msaint2326 With facts there isn't a need for faith. Why would there be? Faith is a belief without any factual ground, and bs Epistemology philosophy isn't going to change that. Faith and facts are not reconcilable, and faith isn't superior to facts. And what the hell are you even talking about? Who said what? What does this have to do with anything?

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX you should know Islam my friend...whether it is faith or fiction to you...you should still know it as a part of your awareness of the FACTS of the world. That knowledge may have much to do with all our futures.

  • @msaint2326 What does Islam have to do with this? Faith is fiction; faith in fiction. And I'm not your friend.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Religion brought facts to society. Western education began in the church. Even in Arabic society, the need to read often started with the Quran. To discount religion from knowledge is to deny one of the historical proponents of the expansion of knowledge. As far as faith being fiction....well, that is a statement from a perspective, nothing more. To understand faith is to understand motivation, of much of the world population. Any educated person knows that.

  • @msaint2326 Education and science may have religious beginnings, but we don't live in the middle ages any more, and the facts science has brought forth has disproven the long held beliefs of the religions and make-shift philosophies that it srpung out of. Being able to read (specifically a religious text) isn't prove of a need for factual knowledge. Faith and facts have and will always be mutually exclusive to each other, and facts will always trump faith, in an educated society.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Really? the facts science has brought forth? Mutually exclusive eh? Well....I would say that all knowledge falls on a continuum and there is no need to separate science from faith, or even from fiction for that matter, since expressions of the psyche have significant underpinnings. But your simplistic view of the world is...well.. Quaint! Good luck with that!

  • @msaint2326 Science's role is to help simplify our understanding of reality. Your attempt to reconcile faith (i.e. religious faith, i.e. beliefs in other worldly and unverifiable claims) with knowledge fails. When you stump your toe no amount of philosophy or faith is going to make that pain any less real.

Science - a tool used to measure perceiable reality

Faith - a tool used to hold unverifiable beliefs, without any tangable facts or reason

    Now that is a fact.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX my dog perceives it's reality and lives a full life. you shall too. peace.

  • where is Krishna & Buddah?

  • @examinfo

    Time did not allow.

  • You only need the bible to prove Jesus is a myth.

  • I think the Rapture is gods gift to us non christians. Think of what a wonderful place it would be without all of you ignorant fucks.

  • @jfeltes2 touche

  • @jfeltes2 man, that's classic, that's a facebook status right there

  • Make up all religious people is all I can say. =\

  • Hey I found Jesus!! He was out there raking the leaves with Miguel and Sanchez. Now he's my ese! So am I saved? Jesus smokes Camels and drinks Coronas and made a pass at my neighbor's wife. Is that holy?

  • Jesus isn't god. The Bible is my evidence:

James 1:13 says god can't be attempted , however,

Matthew 4:1 Jesus was attempted by the devil to go to the desert!!

The damn Bible proved it. Christianity is false!

  • @KhalifaOthman Well Jesus as a human after 40 days FASTING NOT STUFFING HIMSELF AT NIGHT, was weak. Anyone can be tempted but only when a person gives in to the temptation commits a sin. You know nothing about the Bible only what ignorant and evil imam on anti-God websites tell you. An intelligent person gets a Bible and studies it by him/herself.

  • @irishxxkelt This question is very very very important.

Why would anyone want to read a man-made book?

    Did you know that...

Christians made up the whole Jesus story by copying ancient-mythical stories such as the story of Horus, etc.

Mark 14:72 "And the second time the dick grew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, before the dick grew twice, thou shall deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept. "

  • @KhalifaOthman Stuff and nonsense. Even atheists scholars admit that Suetonius, Tacitus, Pliny Josephus wrote that there was a Jewish teacher who was crucified by order of Pontius Pilate at the instigation of the Jewish leadership. Exactly when did Christians worship a facon headed deity? What dick are you talking about man?

  • @irishxxkelt Jesus "magically" made Peter's dick grow for not obeying him.

Oh gawd, you should know by now that the story of Jesus being god, etc is mythical.

  • @KhalifaOthman LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL You stupid man. Go and read a Bible in Urdu. It was a cockeral who crowed usually referred to in its shorten form as cock (MALE BIRD) hen is the FEMALE bird. It was dawn when Peter denied Jesus. I am going to have some fun with Christian friends when I tell them some Muslim in Pakistan thinks a COCK CROWING AT DAWN (Which is what they do) is JESUS MAKING PETER'S PENIS GROW LOOOOOOOOOL

  • @irishxxkelt

    I don't know Urdu o.o

    I'm Arabic, idiot.

  • @KhalifaOthman Well idiot it would be better for you to read the Gospels in Arabic and not make whoppers like a cock being a penis......

  • @sagitarian000028 Do you even know what a pun is? Sun and Son is one.........

  • All these god were born in December

  • Awesome !

  • @besoimortal Awesome twaddle,stuff and nonsense.

  • the Bible don't said that jesus born in dec 25 , ignorant !

  • @DANIELandNADIA050 No, it does not.

  • Woah. Interesting. Although, I think my brain just imploded.

  • This version of the christ myth is mostly fantasy. The Jesus Christ from the bible is created by reverse enginering the old testament.

  • @enoch1profittur How can you reverse the Old Testament? The Saviour was promised in the Old Testament.

  • @irishxxkelt When the people where writing the gospels, they tried to get Jesus to fullfill so many prophecies as possible, so they looked at the old testement to pick some out of context. And I don't think there ever was a jesus type savior promised in the old testament. The letters of Paul are also more myth than history.

  • @enoch1profittur Nobody "tried" to get Jesus fulfill so many prophecies. The Roman soldiers were not trying to fulfill anything when they threw dice for His clothing. How can Paul's letters be myth. You are another person who has never opened a Bible in his life.

  • @irishxxkelt You're going by the presupposition that Jesus was a historical figure.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Yes I am. He existed, even the Jewish Talmud mentioned him.

  • @irishxxkelt The Talmud, Jewish or Babylonian, is second to third century. Not proof.

  • @enoch1profittur "And I don't think..." shows that you know nothing about ALL the propehecies in the Old Testament. Jesus is the Scarlet Thread that connects all the books of the Bible. Go read...........your eternal salvation depends on it!

  • @irishxxkelt The gospel writers used the greek Septuagint, it is a translation of the hebrew bible and it had serveral minor errors in it. One example is the virgin birth. It is only meantioned in the Septuagint and not in the hebrew. So if you read the bible is might be a translation of the Septuagint and not the real hebrew bible.

  • @enoch1profittur Understood. However "virgin" also meant young girl. Mary had other children by Joseph, the one named James was an early follower of Jesus. The Bible I usually use is the New International Version which has been worked on over a number of years by people of different denominations and scholars, experts in Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek.

  • @irishxxkelt Ok, can you show me the chapter and verse pertaining to a "scarlet thread" because I havent found that. and "Soul" came from Plato, a Greek concept I learn in undergrad from Greek phiolosophy later adapted by Augustine and Aquinas. And personally I have read it, and it you notice the later versions of the Bible refer to hell less, which I might add is a Norse concept.

  • @MercuryRis Read the Bible from Gensis to Revelation and you will see that the Bible foretells that a Saviour would come from Israel and be a blessing to the whole world. Well the Bible is older than the Vikings and there was always a place of punishment.

  • @irishxxkelt yes, and the Iliad is older than the Bible, and they use Hades and Tartatus in the OT, and Sheol., the Grave. Hve you read the bible in greek? the work Jesus used for time in "hades" is AEON, which is not eternal, but a mistranslaton. Scholars understand this now. Jesus used Gehenna, a place where his followers, the downtrodden would end up when they died, since it was adumping ground for the lawbreakers and prostitutes, and the bodies were burned, hence the lake of fire.

  • @MercuryRis The Illiad is not older than the whole Bible. Where did you get that idea?

  • Comment removed

  • @irishxxkelt Some scholare state Job is the oldest book, written around 1500 BC. Some believe the Pentateuch is older, but they are not older than the Iliad. As with fragments of the Bible, Fragments of the Iliad account date earlier with Achilles' tale in Linear A.

  • @irishxxkelt Iliad=800 BC, Bible=old testament, Hebrew originated around 400 BC, translated to Greek 250 BC, formed into an official bound book at council of Carthage in 397 AD, New Testament books in Council of Nicea, 325 AD, because no two Christain sects agreed on anything. Im a graduate student in history, but I dot expect you to believe any of this. Iliad is the oldest surviving work in the Western World. THATS where I get that Idea. Iliad was passed orally long before it was written.

  • @MercuryRis I know about the Iiliad and the Odyssey as I studied a course called "Homer ;Poet and Society" in the Open Univesity. I also visited Mycenae, Tiryns and Pylos and saw the helmets made of wild boars' teeths in the National Museum in Athens. Over here we do not rate American Universities highly apart from Harvard, Princeton and a couple of others.

  • @MercuryRis They are finding acheaeological remains in the Middle East dating back to the Hittites who sold land to Abraham to bury his wife and they date back to before 800 BC when Homer was writing. There is a whole museum in Israel wholely filled with Hittite artefacts.

  • @irishxxkelt In Ireland we have a megalithic structure which is aligned to sunrise at the Winter Solstice which dates back to 3200 BC.

  • @irishxxkelt Actually the event took place centuries before, in Mycenae. Schleimann found the remnants of Troy and the actual events occured centuries before Homer documented it.

  • @MercuryRis Look I studied Homer and his epics with the Open University. I don't need anyone to talk to me about Schleimann or Mycenae, or Troy or Pylos or Ithaca.

  • @irishxxkelt You know there's no need to get nasty. If you dont like hearing facts then stop replying to people. Youre one of those typical Christians who hates being out of his confort zone and has to do cafeteria research to reaffirm what he already believes. You should stop and research how Christians nearly wiped out your ancestors and take your anger out on them and the free-thinkers.

  • @MercuryRis Talking to me about Homer is like offering to teach your Granny to suck eggs. Comfort Zone? I have no idea what that is. What on earth is caferteria research? My ancestors? Will you please explain how Christians wiped out my ancestors? As far as I know Pelagius didn't bring an army to attack the Celts in Ireland, although Patrick is credited with bringing Christianity to the pagan Irish. What free thinkers are you talking about ?

  • I know now youre too irrational for an intelligent conversation. I save my widom for those interested in knowing it, and not slaves to patriarchal religions. Ill see ya later you little dumpling you....:)

  • @MercuryRis Aren't you the arrogant little pri*k?

  • @irishxxkelt Better than self-centered Euro-trash "princess" with a false sense of entitlement and a neurosis of insecurity....

  • @MercuryRis Irish people are EURO-TRASH? Typical Yank who thinks everyone who is a citizen of the European Union is European............I am an Irishwoman. Well I am entitled but thank God I do not have a neurosis.

  • @irishxxkelt yes, a proud intelligent yank whose ancestors were smart enough to leave your damp, miserable creepy country littered with drunks. And as for you I find it hysterical you keep asking me questions then go nuts when I answer them, because obviously you cant handle my intelligence. Have fun Euro-trish.

  • @MercuryRis Don't tell you have Irish roots? LOOOOOOOOOOL. Well thank God we live in a damp country. We are not being burned to death like the Russians. Yes we have a drink problem but America has plenty of drunks too. Only a Gobshite would refer to an Irish person as Euro-trash. It is as erroneous as calling a person from Sardina an Italian. He or she would let you know double-quick that they are SARDO/A NOT ITALIANO/A
