  • Very creative project man

  • Why did i laugh when i saw the machine doing that? haha

  • @SinCabezaAlicante what do you mean with "prounx"? i have "PouchX" firmware from garniak_pl. already been in "system software missing" mode after getting "crashed" into "loader loading" screen and making a reset. tried then reinstalling a working firmware, but still the same. nuvi 250 still asks for pin. maybe you know where to get "good firmware".

  • @zulle83 sorry, forgot one thing.

when you FW'd with PouchX and interrupted, you should do the update with most earlier FW. Then you need to FW with PouchX completely. Then use webupdater.

    Use skype: vad-im

  • @SinCabezaAlicante hat are the software methods to remove the pin? or plain and simple what are other ways to remove the pin??

  • where is that ram chip people are talking about?

  • .can one not just reset the damn thing?

  • Very cool...I like seeing this kind of hacking...hardcore hacks.

  • I love it! He must be an electrical controls guy to use ladder logic code and get a PLC to push the buttons for him. Looks like something I'd try after giving up entering the numbers myself. I bet it took longer to construct that enigma than it did for it to find the code :) Great video!!!

  • Genio!

  • Great !!!!

  • You're all going to jail.

  • Ultimate Brute Hack, Thats awesome. Hah

  • Idiots!

PIN easy removing by some software tricks

  • @SinCabezaAlicante Missing the point man

  • @SinCabezaAlicante stop trolling... there is no desoldering pins and no software tricks to hack the pin. there are only 3 ways to unlock it:

    1- insert correct pin;

    2- go to "home" position;

3- send it to Garmin and pay as much as a new navigator to get it unlocked.

  • @zulle83 there are at least TWO software methods to remove the PIN. Also baby, you should know about some hardware tricks and garmin USB service mode.

  • @zulle83 you dont need to erase user data. it will not help.

fastest way to remove PIN is playing with firmwares. the thing you need is to clear 40th region.

  • @SinCabezaAlicante ok, but what do you mean with "clear 40th region"? setting the 40th (hexadecimal, not 40th decimal) byte to 00?

  • lool very cool i was just considering wondering if anyones done this!! kudos.. but u can put the garmin in preboot hexedit and flash rgn..i remember doing it few months back to remove a forgotten passcode, took a few min, got another one now so gonna have to remember, fucking garmins..so mch hassle.. I'll post the steps if i get it sorted

  • l33t... you eFFin rule.

  • try 0001, 0002, 0003. i was on 1987 and got it after a few days on lunch

  • do u live in the los angeles area. i can take you my garmin for bruce force it.

  • dude, your dad is awesome. can you give him a highfive for me?

  • WHY DO U NEED TO UNLOCK THE PIN ???? oh it has a password lol and u can use the unit oh now i see yeah u can easily do it

  • OMG what a g33k uR. ;)

  • I've had my garmin Zumo in the drawer for at least 5 months because i can't remember the darn password. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually tried writing down the different combinations i've tried but gave up eventually. I really like the Zumo but had to get a Nuvi instead. Can you help. Or tell how to build the contraption haha.

  • never laughed as this.....u made my day :D

  • hahaha crazy, hardware brute forcing a garmin security PIN... that's seriously epic. You know there is an easier way.. by desoldering a tiny ram chip that holds the pin. You could do it in probably 30 minutes rather than 23 hours.

  • @quakefiend Could have done that but wouldn't have been as much fun.

  • @awdtsitalon that is true.

  • @quakefiend

can you point my on the chip i have to desolder ? have a locked nüvi350 here.....

  • @quakefiend I have been trying for weeks to unlock my Garmin nuvi 1350. Purchased it off eBay expecting to receive a reliable unit, next thing I know..."What's the password!"

I don't know bad I could express how desparate I am as to unlocking this, (without a time machine)! I am a young college student planning a trip with the family out of the state and I don't have the $ to purchase another. If you could take a moment of your time could you PLEASE help me with you theory of desoldering?

  • @jordansaddict101

did they ever tell u how to desoldering it im kinda in the same boat here

  • @quakefiend Trolling about "a tiny ram chip"...

  • @quakefiend Hey, i want to remove pin, what ram chip are you talking about? ive opened up the gps and cant seem to find the ram chip, Is there anyway to find out where it is or how to find/ identify the ram chip? any help would be appreciated, thanks alot in advance

  • which chip is it?? im stuck with a garmin password !!!! Anyone can help pls????

  • @quakefiend is the a video on how to do that?or a forum. i have a garmin 255w that my dad gave me and lost the pin. will it work?

  • @quakefiend Do you have to replace the chip?

  • @quakefiend Hey do you know what chip it is

  • can your dad adopt me? U.U

  • seems insane to spend more on a machine than it wold cost to buy a new Nuvi, but hey I can dig it.

  • I have one that was in a car I bought awhile back... How much to hack it for me?

  • Digital lock picking at its best! Way cool you should get the "Make" award of the year!

  • What kind of plc is this ?

  • I did the same thing manually it took me 30 min started from 0001 - 0070 got tired and went to 1000-1026 and that was it the pin that opened it was 1026 !!! Got it udated and works fine.

  • Pretty ingenious but all you have to do is enter master unlock code 10 times (will report as invalid PIN) and it's unlocked.

  • Dude I have the same Garmin Nuvi 780. But mine has more than four digits code to break. Or this particular model only inputs 4 digit codes? Thanx in advance..

  • this is the best hacking I have ever seen, I'm amazed.....sorry for asking this stupid question, but what does the pin offer you more?

  • your dad is a beast.

  • brute force.....kkkkkk

  • Is this unit merely doing a random search of pin number possibilities, or is there some kind of method to the madness?

  • great work, can you upload program for ir?

  • HA! Very cool. Is that a PLC controlling some solenoids?

  • is it easy to build, can u provide more info.

  • That's insane. Did it work? Or is it still running?

  • @onblur It worked. I think dad said it took 23 hours.

  • @awdtsitalon has your dad ever thought about going into the "safe" cracking business...Fuck retirement...He could be Like DeNiro in "The Heist"...awesome flick!

  • did this machine successfully unlocked your GPS device?

  • that is legit. would you be interested in fining the pin on my unit?
