You'd think they would be more comfortable speaking English if it's their first language but they all seem more confident speaking Korean. But maybe they are just as awkward when they're speaking Korean but I don't realize it because I don't speak it... Idk

Once my friend was on the phone with her grandmother who doesn't speak English that well so she had to speak Chinese. That was the first and only time I've heard her speak it and I could tell she was embarrassed. I don't understand why though. I thought it was cool. If I could speak another language I would speak it every chance I got xD But then the grass is always greener...

Have you ever asked your friend to speak her native language and she said no? It's probably because she will feel awkward as she probably speaks english to you (how I feel) . It's not embarrassment that puts me off, i'm proud for who I am (not in the arrogant way) it's just awkward when I speak a different language with my friends around. :)
