Ha compared to what I usually listen to Death Cab For Cutie is a bit mainstream. Not really popular like mainstream. DCFC has their own crowd but it's still a bit normal for me. I only like some of their piano songs, more so. Their music generally goes good in music videos and movies though. :)

australian idol is a competition for voice, and also to pick a song, transform it into your style, be creative and show the world what type of music you would make if you win. of course he could be like most of the other competitors and sing the song dry of art or any of their own contribution.

I'm a Death Cab fan and this is one of my favorite songs by them. I like this guy's version too. It wasn't bad. Are we supposed to like one version but not another?
At the very least, we should be stoked that Death Cab is actually being recognized in a major competition. The more people who know about them, the better.

australian idol is a competition for voice, and also to pick a song, transform it into your style, be creative and show the world what type of music you would make if you win. of course he could be like most of the other competitors and sing the song dry of art or any of their own contribution.
now to tell you the truth i just like this song better when he sings it (as well as 21 reasons), it's real art, the original is too plain and kinda has no emotion (boring).

Death cabs version is 100 times better. this guy tries to hard and ben from death cab just had a nutural amazing voice. Death Cab is soo much better, and i think this guy sucks.
