His acting career spanned 75 years. I first saw him in "The Day of the Jackal" as Gozzi the gunsmith. He appeared for less than 10 minutes in two short scenes but he still managed to become one of the most memorable characters of the film.
anthony hopkins should have read this, or patrick stewart, sean bean maybe or even brian cox. this mans voice is just too weak to hold the sense of import. I'd even have said brian blessed but he is a fun spirit.
Marvellous! It’s a very strange poem, and many readers don’t quite get it to make sense, but here Cusack captures the sheer awed strangeness of the middle section — “…is moving its slow thighs…” — better than anyone else I’ve heard, and really makes the whole thing work.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

"The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity" - frightingly true of politics in most western democracies today!

His age is a plus. This is a poem to be read by someone who has lived a lot and seen a lot! Thanks!

@MyLordPariah ...Cyril Cusack epitomises the sheer beauty of Yeats words. Listen to the words...this mans voice is anything but weak
