Mau is really good. She almost won the Asian Idol competition before. She was picked by most judges to win the competition -- but the weird voting procedure got the best of them.

TY for the info, drolitz. I read another commenter write about Channel 5's refusal to give up the name Philippine Idol. The point I've making, though, is that dapat i-adopt somehow ng GMA si Mau Marcelo kung gusto nila ng good faith. My family is not the only one who refuses to patronize Pinoy Idol because of their dropping her in a way.

You're probably right uto10 (can't say for sure kc ayaw ko talagang panoorin and Pinoy Idol). Channel 7 should realize that people prefer to remember Mau Marcelo as the 1st Idol of the country.
If GMA doesn't somehow make it up to Mau, malabong suportahan ng marami and Pinoy Idol nila.

sa tingin ko iba sya sa original since it doesn't sound outdated try to listen with the original version and see the difference....kung baga the song was sounds like a new one bagay sa tunog ng music ngayon...well I must say Anita Baker is great but definitely Mau made a good rendition for the song.

She's really world class performer. She sang this song in her own style with matching grrr sound.Btw i also watched Sweet Love by Anita Baker and all I can say that Mau incorporated her exceptional gift in claiming any song she sings her own.

i share your view. not even the worsts of the Philippine Idol Final 12 deserves to be leveled to the best of Pinoy Idol. Hindi hamak na mas magagaling ang Philippine Idol kaysa sa mga Pinoy Idol hopefuls. Parang starstruck na tinamaan ng kidlat. BASURA.

Agree me din. Based on the trailers (kc nga BANNED sa amin ang Pinoy Idol), malayo talaga sa ganda ng PHIlippine Idol--both the show and the quality of the contestants. Parang starstruck lang eh.

You're probably right uto10 (can't say for sure kc ayaw ko talagang panoorin and Pinoy Idol). Channel 7 should realize that people prefer to remember Mau Marcelo as the 1st Idol of the country.
If GMA doesn't somehow make it up to Mau, malabong suportahan ng marami and Pinoy Idol nila.

hmmm...wag sana kau maooffend sa ipinion ko ha..but for me wla na yatang ibang style si mau puro basag na minsan parang OA na yung dating..tong sweet love nya i guess binaba ito ng kalahating note or 1 note,para magkajustice ang kanta sing it with the same note as the original then dun mo lagyan ng sariling rendition..mas maraming deserving na Filipino kesa sa kanya..napanuod ko rin kz yung sa asian idol nya panget nung kinanta nyo..thanks po...peace...

sa tingin ko iba sya sa original since it doesn't sound outdated try to listen with the original version and see the difference....kung baga the song was sounds like a new one bagay sa tunog ng music ngayon...well I must say Anita Baker is great but definitely Mau made a good rendition for the song.

hi altered.. the basag thing you are hearing is called vibrato, if i'm not mistaken... not a lot of singers can do this and it actually strains the singing if you haven't mastered its full potential... si mau master na niya yan... at about putting it a half-note lower is not the point here, why do the original when you can do better with a new style? basta bkit nia pphirapan sarili nia sa mataas eh kaya naman niang pagandahin sa mas mababa. ang pagkanta di kailangan lagi pataasan ng boses!

Perhaps, what Channel 7 can do is suyuing mabuti ang ABC-5 para malipat sa kanila the whole concept, name franchise (?) and judges of Philippine Idol. I hate to admit it but Chennel 7 gives more exposure so meet na lang sila halfway, sort of. Best for Mau, John & Gian, GMA and the Idol show (in the Philippines) itself.

regarding her performance in asean idol, i was a bit disappointed by her choice of songs. the first one w/c is a tagalog was good, but the second one, "reach" by gloria estefan was too bad for her. it did not showcased her real powerful nd soulful voice. i was xpecting she's gonna sing sweet love or diamonds r forever...but to my dismay. anyway i am still voting for mau, i luv her ever since her samantha brown days. she's funny nd gay.

yes i heard so. but i still did not like the song. re the performance i'd say she nailed it. i can feel the intensity of her performance. unlike jacklyn, she really hit those high notes but un lng un,mataas lng boses nya,no emotions. heard the comment of one of the judges on jacklyn?it seemed that she did not enjoyed her performance, she just did her routine.

I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED she didn't make it in the Top 4! She was the best that night! Unfortunately it's only Pow that I like sa Top 4! Yung Jelli(?) mas itsura pero sintunado! That's the truth!!! Si Armarie trying hard with her "Superwoman". Yung isa hindi ko nga naalala name nya eh at kung ano kinanta nya! But MAU's got talent!!! Let's vote for her in the wildcard show!
