I have an important question. It seems like wacom is an independable platform. You just open it and draw. Can you load other programs , autocad for example?

What's the drawing surface made of? Is it hard glass, or some kind of replaceable plastic? I'm on the verge of buying one but I keep thinking that after a while of drawing, the surface will be scratched like my traditional tablet. ???
keep the protector on in the beginning and then after a white of the protector being scratched and ur fed up with it, peel it off and u get like a whole extra year of a good tablet, There is a secret too, U dont have to touch the tablet, U can just lightly brush it softly up against it and it recognizes the pen and will draw softly. Theres not too much to worry about. get it and have fun.

The cintiq is a marvelous piece of technology but IMHO it's better used in the hands of a keen, professional graphic artist or designer. The 2000-3000 dollars the OP spent on the tablet would've been way more useful spent on classes for art basics or life drawing. The cintiq was a poor investment for this fellow. He (and others like him) would've been better off with a bamboo or a graphire judging by his apparently amateur technique.
One problem, with a great piece, you do not do a five minute sketch, you take your time. Almost no art (not counting those of the thrown paint variety, etc.) is done quick.

I kind of agree with GlassbombX... I do think it's kind of a waste for technology like this to go to an amateur artist... And no, I am not saying this because I'm "Jealous" of this person's "talent," (in fact, I would have to say that I'm better) I am simply remarking on how it's a shame that less talented artists have the funds to buy things that could be put to much better use.

How one creates their work is their decision and style altogether. You have no authority to call someone an "Amateur" just because they draw in a particular style on a particular implement. Just one five minute video of someone drawing a furry on a cintiq is not enough to show the artist's full talent (which I'm sure is impressive when given a larger window to work with.)

Because it's easier to animate, most people who work at disney can draw masterpieces, but they are limited in what they can animate.
It's called personal style. Just because it's a cartoon doesn't mean it's worth less, many people prefer to draw in that style. It's not realism, but it's not crap. It. Is. Different. ...and it's not Disney. Theres more detail to it if you actually looked.

actiully they say that left handers is more artistic xD but i dont believe in that stuff.. its just that lefthanders(like myself) has trouble with some angles though righthanders have the same problem but with other angles. i dont believe u draw better depending on what hand u use.. more like what perspective.

What's it to you? It's his money first off. That right there gives him the right to draw what ever he wants. So if you would be so kind to show what you can do I would love to see it. Being that Fluke does is just "furry shit". And I do not agree with you what so ever. It takes a lot of talent to make the art he does.
