Great stuff....really love the old traditional ways, what this country is all about..:) I have just joined the Wicket Brood, from Herts. great people and such fun. Though i think it will be a while before i am ready to do the dances, so just playing accordion and learning all the songs for now.
Thanks for your comment. My main problem with recording these events is not how good the camera is but with those people that walk in front while i'm making footage (you probably know the feeling). I have plenty of films of heads and particularly on that day in Bampton.!
Taking stills in the old days with a big SLR people used to think it was something official and move out of the way. While I can carry lightweight digital gear around all day I agree that actually getting the shots is a major issue.

@irichardson21 It's the tradition at Bampton to dance jigs without hankies (usually).
They also (note) dance the jig without hats and more often with 2 dancers. In fact dancing wihout hankies and sticks is quite common in the Morris.
