the chorus is the 20th century Fox studio chorus or some such - listen to how they pronounce the Russian - not bad for the Cold War years - Tsar with a strong american "R". compare with any bolshoi or kirov/maryinski recording.

@JyV79 I wouldn't be surprised if the "20th Century-Fox Chorus" at this time was made up at least partially of members of some other chorus, perhaps of the Los Angeles Civic Opera.

God-- GREAT SOUND, REALLY GREAT SOUND, 1953 HAS BETTER SOUND THEN LATER IN MOST CASES, NO ECHO, A PLEASURE AND GREAT VOICES.

It is also a more natural sound since it's from an analogue record. If it was off an official RCA CD the sound would be ruined.
