  • Cracking film, makes me want to visit Bruges..

  • Good guy Ken:

Can't save his mate because he can't see him

Commits suicide to save his life and give him his gun

Too many people on the ground

Uses spare change to clear them away

  • go to bruges/brugge to the tower where this scene was filmed..take a look from ground level and ask yourself why he didn'hitt the sides of the tower on the way down...if you see how the tower is constructed you'll know what i'm talking about...bloody good film despite that error

  • brendan gleeson and colin farrell . what more could an irishman want in a film

  • Hate when English cunts kill Irish cunts

  • ez egy egészen óriási jelenet, mely meghatározza az egész filmet, s teszi az egyik legjobbá, amit valaha láttam.

  • im irish and love love it

  • Great Movie

  • great setting of a song in a film.

  • Best movie, best song..

  • Its by Luke Kelly not the Dubliners. Awesome scene, awesome movie, awesome song.

  • This song makes me proud to be Irish

  • @manicbassa i am always proud

  • Thats not the original from the movie is it? sounds like raglan road has been dubbed over again levels are far to loud

  • wers the splat..................up the irish

  • By the way the music is irish, its called Raglan Road by the Dubliners

  • sung by the one and only luke kelly

  • @92redzer luke kelly my friend

  • everything is so perfect about this scene.the contrast between gleesons view and farrels, the commiting suicide to save a young friends life.even the throwing of coins to urge the citizens to get out of the way.First class writing!

  • it sounds like scottish or ireland music

  • irish, luke kelly

  • When I watched this the first time I was so sad and angry with this scene because you so wanted him to be able to shoot down at Harry and save his and Ray's life but then theirs the lights and he cant and he jumps and its so sad :-(

  • This film is so perfect. so beautifully writting and both Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell acted out of their skin.

enyrb - I think the song works as a 'tribute' or 'reverence' to the character of Ken if that makes sense. I love use of it in the film.

  • I totally agree

  • he he he

  • I like this scene very much, I've watched the film and I've been In Bruges as well..

  • its a shit hole isnt it

  • well I think it's not a shit... you'd better be more respectful with this movie

  • but its a shithole

  • why there are always someone like you, that instead of staying w/ "mouth" shut, need to say bad things about... ????

  • it gives a the scene an extremely eerie sense imo... dunno bout ye....

  • Film of the year for me. Really effective when the music cuts out ....

    Amazing from Brendan Gleeson

  • I get where you're comin from mate but in a lot of ways the film is about love, just not in the usual hollywood sense. Ray's love for chloe etc, but Ken loves Ray too. he dies to save his life. in a way he finds his humanity again by dying for someone else. maybe i'm just being soppy mate.

  • I knew it was really good before, but it's in this scene that In Bruges transcends from a smart comedy into one of the best films in years. Took my breath away.

A Beautiful song, superbly placed within the film to tug at your heart.

    Brendan Gleeson is excellent!

  • Favorite film ever! :)

  • amazing song, it speak's straight to your heart, very moving piece of music, gr8 film

where's bruge..... it's in belgium!! gr8 lines throughout lol

  • Hearing the haunting strains of 'Raglan Road' in that scene, sung as only Luke Kelly can - AWESOME!! That song, that voice, those words - so-ooooo moving.

  • "take... my gun..." (gun crumples in Ray's hands) hilarious

and "What's a 50 year old lollypop man doing knowing karate?!"

    awesome film.

  • this film is superb on so many levels

  • great song to leap to your death from a steeple

  • amazing... so sad though

  • Luke Kelly singing Patrick Kavanagh's Raglan Road... none better...

  • Yeah I found that out myself after I tried to upload it after I posted the comment :P

NBC Universal are cunts, fuck their copyright 8-)

  • I hope you just said that with an Irish accent ;-)

  • Great movie, great scene, but why disable embedding for fucks sake

  • NBC Universal has claimed some or all audio and visual content in your video in bruges - on raglan road.

    that's why ;)

  • How the hell do NBC Universal own the rights to PATRICK KAVANAGHS raglan road. Screw that boi!

  • FINALLY I found this song/scene. THANKS man!
