lol i never got to this part of the game... whats the giant fish thing you fight? he uses a water attack that attacks a single member, but then as you fight him more and more, his water attack upgrades to hitting all 4 members? could be me but he kicked my ass and i was using disc 1... mabyee he was disc 2 or something...

@Ch0s3tt3 Yep. Just get to Qu's marsh before going into Gizamaluke's (if I had spelled that right) Grotto, catch a frog and give it to him/her. Worth it too as mighty guard is good to have so early in the game.

Unless it's a quirk of the video editing software s/he uses. I think s/he is using a PS2 with the disc speed set to "fast". Which can make PSX/1 games load at around the speed of PS2 games. Be warned though some people say this is bad for your PS2, while others say it is harmless since PS2 games rotate at a faster rate than PSX/1 games anyway. (IIRC) I've played this game (though not this part) in "fast" mode and it is definitely quicker.

@hiddenbutdeadly Yeah... after X-1, it's just downhill... X-2 was basically a fan service game, with every kind of slut they could fit in there. Yuna used to be a fun and shy girl.. and now she wears short skirts and shoot gun? A pure red neck fantasy... not a final one. For the rest, I agree. 13 was somewhat intriguing... but still wasn't up to the ankle of the 9 or the 8.

She gives up after 7 turns and that way you won't need to use any potions.

It's very easy to get lvl 20 or higher without cheats, gameshark or somthing else ^^ you must get the ability good night with quina, then go to the strong dragons.... you can read this infos in the internet... i can't speak and write english so good^^

you can get quina by visiting the marsh on youre way to gizmaluke's grotto.  You find Quina whining about not getting frogs. Once you catch one, talk to Quina. He/she will then join your party from being persuaded by Quale, another gourmand (professional cook). Quina's abilities are as follows:

(Normal/Trance)

Attack/More damaging Attack

Eat/Cook (for obtaining abilities)

Blu Magic (FF7's Enemy Skill)

hi, i recently downloaded ff9 only the first disc, but when i got to the sceen after i killed the 2nd waltz, when you board the airship in dali, well, when were on the ship, right after we get on, the ship flys right passed the screen, but when its close to the screen (ship still coming at screen) well, it freezes. i use VIDEO: P.E.Op.S.
