  • LOL i luv the classics

  • Right in the middle of the best warner bros era.

  • How do they pick the carrots without setting off the alarms on them?

  • You know it is funny that the Sheriff never arrests Little John even though his face is on a wanted poster.

  • ARISE...Sir loin of beef. ARISE... Earl of cloves ROFL!!!! Genius monarch mockery

  • How Bugs can do all those quick costume changes is beyond me. Just like baking a cake fast.

  • I caught this short on Cartoon Network, and I was shocked to find that in Bugs' tirade near the end, they censored "poor"!

Damn you, Turner! What's the big flippin' deal?!

  • LOL how he starts building a house on the garden..

  • BEST shows ever ! good olden times!

  • Little John: "Don't you worry never fear..."

Bugs: Yeah yeah I know "Robin Hood will soon be here, he robs the rivh to feed the poor, yoohoo we skip a trola to Sherwood Forest, helping the needy and the oppressed." You've been saying that throughout the whole picture, well, where is he!? LOL

  • "STOP IT, OAF !"

  • @jamo387 Chuck Jones was great at depicting oafs (oaves?) See also: Junyer Bear.

  • @Vincek88 Also Nasty Canasta. ^^ There's some beauteously disgraceous shocks in some of his scenes for Barbary Coast Bunny. (A significant chunk were Abe Levitow scenes - one of my fave animators.)

  • @Vincek88 The bear series was classic...."Tell me more about my eyes, he he he he...."

  • 6:16 - classic voice imitation...

  • I sort of had a 6 room Tudor in mind..

  • Nice to see this one with mint condition color! Classic animation and great comic timing! Love that Errol Flynn shows up at the end! Viewers of this might enjoy my hand drawn animation that I made, BALDER'S EGG, THE MAGIC ARROWS, THE BLACK WIDOW, and THE COLOSSEUM on my channel page on you tube! They have fantasy characters, dialog and narration and thousands of drawings! Thanks for uploading this!

  • watch bug's sceptor from 6:26 to 6:47

  • Notice how nobody knew the King's name?

  • This is one of my favorite episodes.

  • Yeah I know. Robin Hood will soon be here. He robs from the rich and he gives to the poor. Yo ho he goes skipping through la through Sherwood Forest helping the needy and the opressed. Ah you've been saying that through the whole picture. Well where is he?

  • Its interesting cus John Wayne was considered a giant of man at 6'4". Who was not the fleetist afoot . Yet Errol Flynn at 6'2 and1/2" moved like he was 5'7", and nobody talks about it. Why ? Flynn did not have a slight frame either.

  • Don't you worry never fear Robin Hood will soon be here

  • "arise sirloin of beef, arise earl of clothes..." lmao im too weak right now

  • @ThePackbleed he says "what a mess, I should of gone to worstershire (but her stutters it)"

  • @superBernard49 ... You must be from the "D" Detroit (Errol Flynn)!!! Classic!

  • 'Caught crimson-fisted!!!' Hahahahahaha :D

  • "Arise, Sir Loin of Beef!"

  • " Da-uh Don't you worry, never fear. Robin Hood will soon be here."

  • @8STRINGR *plays tiny trumpet* eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eheheheh

  • ' no poaching, not even an egg'

hmm the king has a good taste in jokes!

  • gotta love Errol Flynn as robin hood.

  • the rabbit put a woopen on that poor sherif... but so dam funny... lol

  • 4:28, I love the sheriff's reaction when he hits Bugs with the arrow. Great animation.

  • @btvampire2009...the kids today don't appreciate the classics like we do..they prefer Japanese anime over hand worked art like this.

  • dont you worry never fear, robin hood will soon be here.... right xd

  • They should update the scene from Errol Flynn's Robin Hood show and switch it w/ a scene from Russell Crowe's 2010 film because kids nowdays who Errol Flynn was!

  • 6:26-7:10 LOL

  • @cutupsound How do you know? Or are you referring to Little John's "bugle"? I figure the trumpet Bugs blows is a real one.

  • Strong guy, isn't Little John? Knocking down all those trees. The King's Trees. Sheriff should put him on the rack.

  • Sheriff: "Stop! Stop! You can't go in there! You're not allowed in there! This is the King's private garden! You're standing on Royal Ground!"

Bugs: "Royal Ground? You mean to say that this ground is better then that ground over there?"

    Sheriff: "Yes it is"

  • Anybody else notices when he stops hammering, he has 3 nails in his mouth then when he grinds his teeth, he has 4 nails in his mouth?

  • Bugs needs to go to jail for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest

  • 5:20 Chevy Chase??

  • @dopplerdoesnotlikeu I don't think they are referring to that SNL loser.

  • errol flynn?

  • When Bugs knights the sheriff and when when he sells him the king's garden.

  • "No poaching - not even an egg!"

  • Lol. 6:30 to 6:50 made him eat shit in the floor!

  • did u hear 2:45 - The sound a meep?

  • @CaptainCapital8 more 2:49 bur yeah

  • What made these cartoons was the use of movies mixed with the cartoons. It just wouldn't work now with our actors.

  • Shame on ABC, for cuttin' out what they thought was violent.

  • @DaveWollenberg You can't have violence on TV these days. I mean, god forbid Daffy hits Bugs Bunny with a brick, then little Jimmy does it to his baby brother lol. It's these scenarios that form in over-protective parents minds.

  • First, are you a Veteran? Good! Then it'll be easy! Just sign here!

  • @cutupsound He even did the trumpet? Awesome! No wonder he was Warner Bros. golden boy.

  • "I ignore you"...

  • @TheMab22 haha...a great line to use when you're among ignorants and idiots!

  • Bugs: “Arise, Sir Loin of Beef!” *strikes Sheriff over the head with his sceptre* “Arise, Earl (oil) of Cloves!” *strike* “Arise, Duke of Brittingham!” *strike* “Arise, Baron of Münchhausen!” *strike* “Arise, Essence of Myrrh!” *strike* “Milk of Magnesia” *strike* “Quarter of Ten!”

  • That's what you get for trying to steal a carrot from the King's Garden. Wonder how the Goofy Gophers would've handled it?

  • 1:55 is brilliant!

  • A-rise! *wacks* Fav part and when he makes him the cake xD

  • ..." i dunno there was a couple from kansas city lookin' at this place this morning..."

  • let me guess- errol flynn?

  • the new ones suck

  • 2:46 The very air abounds in kings....Makes me laugh everytime

5:41 I shall hateth myself cometh the dawn.... A useful line

  • 2:46 The very air abounds in kings....Makes me laugh everytime

  • i love this cartoon bugs bunny is funny

  • "In the name of my most royal majesty, I knight thee....Arise, Sir Loin of Beef.....Arise, Earl of Cloves....Arise, Duke of Brittingham....Arise, Baron of Munchausen....Arise, Essence of Mhyrr....Milk of Magnesia....Quarter of Ten."

"Yeah I know Robin Hood Will soon be here. He robs from the rich and he gives to the poor. Yo ho we go skipping tra la through Sherwood forest. Helping the needy and the opressed. Ehh you've been saying that through the whole picture. Well, where is he?"?

"You should not talk mean like that because THERE he is."

    "Welcome to Sherwood."

"Nah that's silly it couldn't be him."

  • Huh? Who didn't like this?

  • Don't you worry never fear

Robin Hood will soon be here.

    LOL!!!

  • He looks so cute with his ears down!

  • arise!!!

    arise!!! arise!!!

  • arise!!!

  • LOL at 4:16! The sheriff screams "Oo-oo!" but yet his mouth is wide open.

  • The Looney Tunes was one of the first cartoons ever made and it still beats all of the shows today, even Family Guy in my opinion

  • whooosstishisshshire!! LOL!

  • I love it when he bakes the cake!

  • welcome to sherwood LOL

  • Originally released in December 1949; this is an early '60s "Blue Ribbon" reissue.

  • Love these old Warner Bros. Cartoons. Never, ever get tired of the classics!!

  • lol, the part where he was sold on the idea of buying that land for so long was great.

  • when real robin hood comes it makes me laugh

  • @XxSeriousGamer10Xx -- Errol Flynn actually received his own copy of this film in exchange for the use of his likeness. That was nice of them.

  • @HaggisMcCrablice uuuh u do know that FLynn was a Nazi?

  • @Ziggman2g Impossible, Flynn was born in Australia and he wanted to enlist in the US army but he had several health problems.

  • @Ziggman2g do you have proof?

  • @commodore64fan look him up in Wikipedia

  • Arise Sir Loin of Beef. Arise Earl of Cloves. Arise Duke of Brittingham. Arise Bearer of Munchausen. Arise Essence of Myrrh. Milk of Magnesia. Water of 10. LMAO!

  • @DutchKalhoun that's one of my favorite parts, but I thought Bugs said at the end, "Quarter of 10"

  • @DutchKalhoun - he's got stamina !

  • O yon Chevy Chase. LOL

  • Does anyone know the episode where bugs retrieved the Singing Sword?

  • @stefanpatrickco

    Knighty Knight Bugs

  • My favorite "Robin Hood" story!

  • For his permission to use his image from the original "Adventures of Robin Hood", Flynn received a copy of this for his personal film collection.

The "quickly baking a layer cake just so the Sheriff can fall into it" gag was borrowed from Jones' "A Feather In His Hare" (quickly making an Indian vase just so Bugs can clobber the "dumb Indian" chasing him at the right moment).

  • "Welcome to Sherwood." That must've been Errol Flynn!

  • Only an moron like the Sheriff would sign a contract before reading it!

  • 4:13 This always cracks me up! xDDD

  • @ThunderLizardsRule Same Here LOL!

  • @KimPoss23 Cool! xD

  • @ThunderLizardsRule you kidding me 6:08 scene is the best, thats bugs bunny gold haha

  • @thatguy1252 Of course, it's one of Bugs' finest moments.

What I mean before is the look on the Sheriff's face when he gets angry and crushes the nails with his teeth. xDDD

  • I was laughing so hard at 1st 4 shots he took, I would have loved to seen the last 3! Lol!!

  • @MrGb4ever noticed how the king's sceptre got dented each time he smacked the Sheriff's head! lol

  • @alphab1 Yeah and did you notice the black eye on the 3rd shot! Lol!!!

  • @alphab1 Well, he was hitting the Sheriff. What did you expect?

  • LMAO!!!!!! 6:30 to 6:52.

  • Don't you worry, never fear.....this is my all-time favorite cartoon :-)

  • Halway through building house: "Ooh, I hate myself! I do, I do, I do!"

  • @WestVirginiaRebel My parents had that halfway through a kitchen extension when the cowboys showed their true colours and bunked off.

  • @WestVirginiaRebel For me that's the best part. The six-door Tudor-style dream house. Would've been a really nice house too, so it's rather a pity that it was never built.
