First of all America taking over the world with the invention of Knightmare frames seems A LOT more realistic than robot battles in space, come on Warhammer 40k and Starcraft do a better job at that and knightmare frames are somewhat realistic as they can be taken out with infantry at times and planes.
Second of all if you've even watched Code Geass it smashes most if not all gundam seasons you mentioned into one in 50 epic episodes, the Britannian Emperor wishes to rewrite the world, Lelouch wanted to bring an age of peace for war NEVER shall be truly stopped as long as there are humans, Lelouch at the end of the series literally controls most if not all the world.
Third of all recent Gundam series have been failing in popularity probably due to the repetitiveness.
I don't think you ever saw gundam. The plot of gundam goes way past anything code geass could ever come out with. For your third excuse, there really hasn't been any Gundam series played all that much compared to what they used to.
Bismarck got to be number one because he CAN see the future, and because he can see the future he never lost. A geass wouldn't allow anyone to change the future unless they are seeing it before it happens and thus are able to change it.

Actually it was difference in machine or his reaction speed increase due to the command of Lelouch's geass, Bismark was actually pretty strong. It was like an proto type tank trying to face off tanks from modern day.

not necessarily. The mass produced gundam from the original gundam needed to be refueled and re supplied a lot especially in 8th MS team since the OVA is about "real" gundam where you don't get plot armor to save your ass.

Even in the last few episodes the top brass were trying to send GM's into boobytrapped tunnels hoping that their reactors would melt down and explode and take out the Zeon and they could just claim it was an accident.

Gundams can re-enter the atmosphere intact. That says alot about their armor. And also size doesnt necessarily mean speed. Snails are small, but a cheetah could smoke the shit out of it. I think gundams are faster because they have way more advanced propulsion systems. Just look at trans am.

A standard mobile suit is about 18 meters tall. An average knightmare frame is about 7 meters... smaller means faster, but it means less armor too...
