I have a 2500k@ 4.3Ghz, GTX570@900/1800 and 8gigs of ram, but I only play BF3 on high with 2xAA. I wouldn't trust it to always be smooth if I played on ultra
I really only want to buy one of these, will it be enough to play battlefield 3 on ultra? I was hoping to get 60 fps at the most but nothing less than 30
I have a GTX 570 (EVGA) nvidia gpu, and my games still lag a whole lot, and it's not my ping:(
I have DirectX 11.0, 1080P 22 in. Monitor, Win 7 64-bit, i7 3.33 GHz (12 CPUs), and 12288MB RAM (1 terrabyte estimated).
on games like Skyrim, Mafia II, GTA IV, and Battlefield 3, I lag a lot with anti-aliasing, or just lag in general. i downloaded all of the new drivers, and nothing seems to help.
@MegaFriendlykid japp mate i got even a bit higher framerate than he does im so happy with my new system :) about 2-3 months I'll buy another 570 to sli just to be future ready :) thx
Is there a huge difference between a regular gtx 570 and a superclocked, I recently purchased a Zotac gtx 570 and I was wondering if that will perform the same or worse as the benchmarks you have. Some of the gameplay with the regular gtx 570 haven't had that high of fps. Could someone please answer thanks.
Any word on if BF3 utilizes the HT of the 2600k? I have heard that it does not, and HT actually hurts it. Any truth to this? Similar set-up as you, 2600k, 580 SC, 16gb RAM.
@m1screant you'll be fine, one of my friends has the i5 2500k and ATI Radeon 5770 1gb and gets around 30-40 fps stable on max settings. so if youve got a 580 and the 2600k you'll be fine :)
side note/ i know thats kinda hard to believe but people have got the same setups and posted them on youtube take a look ^^
@AxelFyren raid 0 - 2 WD black caviar 750GB drives. SSD's are garbage for recording fraps. recording full screen, and as the benchmarks showed, just about the same framerate as if I wasn't recording.
Scumbag benchmark, runs game at 1080p and uploads at 720p. Just kidding, good video :) Buying myself a GTX 570 this weekend, I have an i7 950 but my fancy-pants cpu cooler crapped out so for now I'm using the stock cooler, temps go way past 80, which is concerning.
so i5 2500k + GTX 570 wont run this @ solid 60fps on ultra?
I get solid 60fps on Medium/High w/ my GTS 450

Great video. I'm going to pick up one of these cards. Also, would you recommend the
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 motherboard. I have a hard time deciding on the Z68 or the P67.

Using a i5 2500k and a regular GTX 570 OCed how much FPS difference do you reckon there would be?
Also since the latest patch apparently it improved performance so wouldn't you be getting more FPS now?

Anyone know a good step-by-step guide to overclocking this processor?
I've never overclocked anything before and it would be nice to know how, since I'm planning on getting a rig with this CPU.
