To me, nerf guns are like a prep thing before one transitions from nerf to paintball or airsoft. Or real guns. I have always hated nerf guns, but I think they are great for kids, early teenagers, and maybe just for screwing around sometimes. I started out in airsoft so I never got to use nerf guns, but there isnt difference except that airsoft is more Mil Sim then nerf.
