I really think that Sigma brush is the one ordered from Crown brush and put a name on the handle. The only difference besides having a Sigma name is that it juggled the price 3 times or more. The quality really is not that impressive at all.

i guess this is an old review of the sigma brushes cause now the brushes are different, the duo fiber brush for example is now much smaller. I wasn't impressed with that brush. While I do like their brushes for the price, I wish they would stop messing with a good thing. I still like my mac brushes better, yes they're more expensive but u get what u pay for.

I really loved your review, I like how you go into depth instead of worrying about "how long" your video is and trying to cut parts out and not go past "10" minutes. I appreciate this review and just purchased my complete sigma brush set with brush roll in pink. I can't wait to get these! I was so into buying Mac brushes but with the prices like that, I just can't see a wood handle with bristles being worth $25-45 it's insane. So I gave up on that and watched many reviews and purchased 'em!

the ss252 is bullshit. i tried to use it to blend a cream product on a client and ALLLLLLLLLLL of the hairs started dragging out and they were all over her lids. and now that its so sparse, its useless

i think its totally fair to compare sigma brushes to mac holiday sets - if ppl say "oh but its not fair, theyre not as good quality" well.. then it should be!!! you pay a big price tag u should get a good quality, special set or no... i dont understand how ppl could say its unfair when theyre still brushes, with a mac logo (and price tag!) so either mac should up their game and not be so sloppy with xmas sets, or sigma should keep on beating them (: xxx

i actually got these brushes about 2 weeks ago and i luuuuuuuurve most of them... i don't really use the foundation brush and i wish the 275 and the 187 were more dense... as for the rest of them, i think they are perfect... i kinda wish this kit included a full size 217 cause it's my favourite mac brush :) also i really, really love the brush roll and i can fit some more brushes in it...

nope, I have had the sigma travel size brushes for a couple of months, and they're not very good at all a lot of bleeding and shedding issues.

i guess the SE brushes are mass produced and are all synthetic whereas the full size brushes are made normally. you can't really compare the sigma brushes to the holiday sets because the holiday sets aren't good quality at all. you have to compare them to the full size mac brushes to get the full effect.

I bought my mac holiday kit and my sigma brush kit around the same time, and my mac set was a waste of money. I LOVE the sigma brushes. Not to mention the mac 187 leaves bristles on my face every time that i use it! I literally have to go in with tweezers and pick em all off my face. My sigma never does that. Sigma is my preferred brand, hands down!

@vintageortacky Can I jump in here, I have learned thru trial and error not to buy any of MAC's holiday brush sets, they are not the same as their regular brushes, they're mostly crap, their regular brushes are great and they also cost a lot more unlike the holiday sets which are cheaper priced and cheaper quality. Thats why I now go to the store to see what they have instead of buying online where u really cant see and feel the quality.

You are one of those sad people who believe that there is no better brand that MAC. Stop saying that something so good is bad when it truly isn't. You had said you do not like the Mac #224 brush.... you MUST try the smashbox #10 crease brush. It is AMAZING for blending, and is one of my favourites! and It's not too pricey either!

i have the set as well and the ss252 i ALWAYS get confused with my mac 242. and the ss275 i use to contour my nose. i love the ss239 more than the mac 239. and the ss250 is my fav! its sooo soft

To me, a brand is just a detail :) I'm not underestimating MAC products, I can't talk about it, actually. But what I do give importance to is quality AND price. I'm not rich and in my reality, I'd rather pay less and get quality, which I've had success in doing so far :)
