I have the same rail on my Colt LE6920MP-R. Your fitting issue may have been caused by a slight misalignment of the barrel nut as this rail locks into the barrel nut for eliminate any rotation. Didn't have this problem at all on mine, but mine was factory installed. That being said, removal and installation on mine is a breeze. Good luck and happy shooting. Glad you got it on there and believe me it is rock solid! Nice RRA :)
Does the rail feel "slim" or is it wider? I have a cheaper rail system on mine and its just to wide for my hands. Looking for something a little thinner
i didnt have to file mine it may just be the brand of rifle i have but all i had to do was hit the bottom with a mallet and it whent in perfectly fine
I'm sure you get quite a mix of reviews about this rail but I have the same rail on my M4 and it fit flawlessly and is the best rail I've had to date hands down
No experience on my end with Knights, but I will say that I wasn't impressed with the milling of the Troy rail. As I mentioned it took some effort to get it to work properly. I'll look into Knight for additional upgrades. Thanks.
@TaintedScarecrow Well let me tell you, they are fantastic rails. I will be uploading an unboxing/installation/review video soon if you would like to check that out.
Heads up people, I just bought a Troy quad drop in rail for my M&P and was a little hesitant after watching these videos and other forum talk. I got the troy rail and installed it in a minute. This rail is awesome!!!! High quality construction and rock solid on my AR. Troy makes excellent quad rail that is easy to install on any M&P 15. You will not be disappointed.
I'm going through the same problem with the 9" midlength drop in. Shipped the 1st one back and now the 2nd one has the same issue. Busting out the dremmel and see if that works..........

Is it really sturdy? Like no movement side to side, back and forth ect.

@thatonekid73
No movement. Period. Sturdy as can be.

I think the fit is just right with the combination of this rail and my XTM rail panels. Great overall feel.

Not a free float
GhostOpsTactical 3 months ago
That rail is not free floated. No "drop-in" rail that uses the stock delta ring to retain it is free floated.

Yeah the rail is a beast in quality, I love it. The only issue I had was the casting.

In my opinion, Knights Armament rails are better.

Will that rail fit most m4 style rifles

@GscottS16
They have several lengths, so as long as you match the length you should be good to go.

It's a shame the rails aren't milled better because other than minor fit issues this rail is phenomenal.

Grinded about 1/32 from the inside groove for the barrel nut and got it to fit.

Man, I marked my Mossberg good with a screwdriver when I first got it. Pissed me off something fierce.
