i totally agree with you! however i wish the story could have continued and developed further but the producers must have done something right cause here in the UK we are still talking about it all these years after! so they have set out what they intended. Thanks for uploading im an addict after discovering i can watch the re-runs.
used to watch this at the nurses station and was gutted that it was the final....We wish it could of continued where the 'freak' was convicted then became 'top dog against renolds and morris. also,an alternative we could have had the opposite where she claimed that conner's told her where she had left the money and that as a officer of the court was just returning stolen property, thus, getting away with it and being commended by the 'department' and returning back to work! what drama?
Yes there could have been a number of different 'endings' to the series. I think the freak was such a 'bitch' the programme makers thought they ought to give her a taste of her own medicine with a spell 'inside'!.
what i want to know is ? why didnt they play or shout .ding dong the witch is dead. at the end. been more funny . great stuff anyway. love cell block h. sunday nights will never be the same since it finnished. and this is 10 years and more. we watched every episode or my mates dad taped it and then we would watch it. awesome.
My favourite character of all time was Bea Smith, quite a likeable rougue as long as you didn't cross her. I had a friend he was quite fantical about it. Brand new VHS tape went in every week to record the episode. I haven't seen hime for years. Bruce if you are out there do please reply to this message!
i think the classic ending would of being bea smith setting the freak up and bea laughing and waving goodbye to joan ferguson as the freak is led out of wentworth
nah it would of been a better ending if bea wasnt dead and they had her take the meal to the freak!

Hi,
Yes there could have been a number of different 'endings' to the series. I think the freak was such a 'bitch' the programme makers thought they ought to give her a taste of her own medicine with a spell 'inside'!.

Yeah, They Could Say That Bea's 'DEATH' Was A Set Up Planned From The Barnhurst Fire

the final episode was a classic
MegaDave1973 2 years ago 3
It certainly was. It is a shame the producers could not have arranged for 'Bea Smith' to have made an appearance!

Its a pity that bea and lizzie did not come back for the final episode. Does anyone know why bea smith quit prisoner cell block h in 1983.

she was disillusioned with the role.
