I dont know why people have this purely orthodox approach to cinema. Argento is one of those directors like Godard; Antonioni and Resnais who are more concerned with the formal means in which the film is put together then any coherent narrative. I havn't seen '' Inferno '' but your excellent review makes me want to see it. Keep the great reviews coming!

Most of Argentos' movies are very challenging to the mind,plot wise,but I think that is part of their charm.Getting from A to B involves firstly going through X,Y and Z and Inferno is of course a typical example.
I have found that sometimes it is just best to give up on the plot and concentrate on the beautiful women instead.Thank's for a very entertaining evaluation.

Ik vind de meeste Argento films ook wel nice maar ze zijn vaak ook erg saai op bepaalde momenten. Inferno is wel 1 van de betere denk ik. Samen met Suspiria en The Bird With The Chrystal Plumage.
Thanks man! Ja klopt.., Crystal Plumage heb ik niet gezien! Maar Suspiria en Inferno zijn sowieso dope, vind eigenlijk wel gewoon de titels die je in begin de covers van ziet langs komen in mijn review eigenlijk wel vette films :)

Yeah it's true what you say about Argento.., I guess I just choose to see most of his 'good' movies! But Inferno isn't thaaaat slow, I don't know, it's worth giving it a chance ;)

It was really dumb, to be honest, but lots of people seem to enjoy it. I'm gonna see Suspiria next.
