An even more safe way to load the rifle is: break the barrel just so the hole shows, put in a pellet and THEN load it! If you load the rifle this way, there are no fingers that are in the way that could get hurt.
I saw in a review by Rick from pyramydair that x20 and x5 have breech problems(their breeches are very tight and they dont accept many pellets). Is that true?
Yes it is - once the gun has stopped dieseling. I've found that the .22 caliber Suppressor models are quieter from the start as the pellets travel slower than .177 caliber.
@ArcherAirguns Very nice to hear that! I'll be buying the x20 supressor one as my first airgun then. Unfortunately they are out of stock in every single store where I live (Finland) until next spring.
It's not easy to answer this question as it depends on where you live. In most US States this is not regarded as a firearm and does not require a firearms licence. In the UK (and other countries), a lower powered version is sold that looks the same but stays within the legal definition of being an airgun - and thus not requiring a fire arms licence. But in some countries, localities and US States it will need to be licenced. You should check locally.
As far as I know there is a fed/ law which prohibits any state or locality to designate any air gun as a "firearm" That being said, many local jurisdictions have laws pertaining the discharge of airguns or any projectile that can cause bodily harm, EVEN in your own home!!
In some cities like NYC and San Francisco, airguns cannot even be sold or transferred, though possession is not an crime.

Stoeger air rifles are all manufactured in China (as are the air rifles for many other manufacturers). But quality is good as Stoeger has clearly specified high levels of manufacturing process and quality control, not aiming just for the cheapest possible product.
Currently the only Stoeger air rifle model available in .22 caliber in the US is the X20 -S "Suppressor" model. But they plan to have .22 caliber versions available later this year.
mine didn't come sighted in....not to mention thr drop compensation...but threw the scope system away went to air soft on line now its wicked mill dot scope only way to go
I would suggest the X20 is better for general use as it's lighter, shorter and easier to handle than the X50. You can see the size of the X20 against me in the video - I'm about 6ft 2 in tall but still prefer the X20. I hope this helps :-)
@ArcherAirguns i might as well get the one with out the scope i already have a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x50 :) it was a present from my aunt, originally had it on my Benjamin discover pcp, but i dislike having to pump it, so i guess i will be very pleased with this air rifle
@SensesFail27 I'm not familiar with the Nikon ProStaff, but please ensure that it's "airgun rated" before using it on one of these air rifles. The forward and reverse recoil of any powerful spring air rifle like the Stoeger will destroy a scope that's not designed for it. If you have any doubts, buy a Stoeger combo and save the Nikon for another day.
@SensesFail27 Its worked on the Discovery as it's a PCP and only has reverse recoil (like a firearm). Unless you obtain proof to the contrary, I think it will be destroyed if used on a Stoeger.
@SensesFail27 do not use that scope on this air rifle. I screwed mine up. it wil work good for a while. only use on pneumatic pump air rifles. because break barrel have reverse recoil
@ArcherAirguns Hi Mr. Archer, is the corsman premiere hollow points .177 the same as the crosman destroyers .177? and do you think the crosman destroyers work the good on this gun?
Crosman Destroyers are a different design of pellets to the Premiers and I've not tested them. Typically, sharply pointed pellets tend to be somewhat less accurate in many air rifles, in my experience. But the X20 is fairly tolerant - see the ebook from the link in the Archer Airguns store - and Dsatroyers will probably work fine.
Great suggestion! The X50 is quite similar to the X20, although longer, heavier and more powerful. It's also a fine air rifle and the X50s I have tested so far for Archer Airguns' Gold Service testing have produced excellent performance.
Yes, apologies for the delay! It takes a long time to produce these videos and we've had many other activities happening with our Archer Airguns online store. Now I need to start working on some more airgun videos. And yes, the Stoeger X20 is a very nice air rifle!

Is the x20 suppressor model actually more quiet than the nonsuppressed one? or is it just marketing?

Isn't stoeger a part of Berreta?

Stoeger is owned by BenelliUSA. I think Beretta is a different company.

@ArcherAirguns oh ok cuz i'm thinkin of getting the x20, seems perfect for my needs, the price is around $150 correct?

The price is $129 without scope, $179 with a mounted 3-9x40AO scope. Plus shipping etc. I think you will be pleased :-)

The X50 is even larger, trust me! But I can shoot it fine. Like most magnum springers, these are large rifles.
