The Leo had a its left arm wrapped around Wing Gundam and its right leg hooked too. On top of that, Wing Gundam's arms were occupied holding one of the Leo's arms and holding the buster rifle. Even if its arms had been free and were flexible enough to get in between the space to push off the Leo, it wouldn't have been able to completely separate itself.
