@royalkingace century's last a long time, mine usually last 1 year plus and that's with heavy use with my bootcamp clients. if it's just you, I'd expect it to last over 5 years. if it doesn't just do what I do in my how to make a med ball video
I made one today, I used steel bbs and sand, got me a 22 pounder. Also, Anthony912345 you're a stupid kid who knows nothing more than how to exercise the way a high school coach teaches. good vid Yun.
This looks interesting: amazing how creativity can just hook up a useful tool out of nowere. How about getting one of those balls that has handles and tying a rope or a chain to it?
Thanks for replying. As soon as I get the time, I am going to try this. Actually, as funny as it sounds, this makes me think about those medeival knights and their maces: a ball attached to a chain and handle. Those guys must've had amazing cores
How Much Does Your Homemade Medicine Ball Weigh? I Made My First Medicine Ball And it Wighs 27.4 Pounds And I Think Its Too Hard To Slam On The Ground When Im Going To Make My Tornado Ball Holder. So How Much Sand Should I Put In The Medicine Ball So It Gets THe Right Bounce?
It weighs 11 pounds. The one in this video is 15, but it ain't homemade. It's a century. Put about 10-12 pounds worth, but use pea gravel instead of sand it's easier cleanup if it it breaks.
Thanks For The Info, And Replying Back. I'll Let You Know How It Goes When I Make It. Another Question If I Was Going To Use A Sandbag In Some Of My Workouts Should I Duct Tape So It Doesnt Bust Open
If you do it with a band, you really got to be on your toes, cause you got to move side to side quickly. Check out my Tornado Ball-How not to use video
@fightnuttube obviously you have the ability to change the weight to as low as you want or as big a ball you can fit. it works the same motion, but I think with the med ball and rope it's more stability so more core and grip work.
I use century med balls for this. I think there the best for slamming. I tried using a leather, but I busted it open after just a couple rounds. I never tried a rubber one, I would think it would give too much bounce, but you never know till you try it.
OK just when I thought I'd seen it all! I've never even heard of a tornado ball let alone used one!

yeah, that would work, but that handle ball can get expensive. you can make your own med ball cheap

Hey Jason, does this have any advantages over something like a sledge hammer on a tire?
fightnuttube 2 years ago 4
good question, the sledgehammer "smash" is pretty much the same motion
