u2 were an absolutely amazing band in the 1980's, they really were but ever since then thy have just been getting more generic and producing simply crap music. I hate saying that cos i was not too long ago a huge fan but they really arent producing good songs anymore.. sad really cos they have so much potential!

@Tye1st U2 is my all-time favorite band ever. (I'm not a teenager or in my 20s so I've been exposed to tons of bands & musical artists. Its saying alot 2 say they're my #1 favorite of all time since th early 1980s.) No one has ever knockd them out of that spot- even temporarily. Here's the thing about rock: maybe the R&R HallOfFame cares less about precise genres & more about unique, serious musicianship that creates 'forever' classics on the popular music front & at least touches on rock.

U2 is one of the greatest bands in rock history with hit singles on every record. iggy and the stooges are an amazing musical group but no one compares to U2. they are prolific and will be remembered for many years to come
