Great scenes. What's crazy is that despite all the difficulties with terrain and hot weather that the Confederate attackers faced on that day, they came close to dislodging the Union from Little Round Top, much like how Pickett's Charge came close to severing the Union line on day 3.
I love this movie, especially this clip from 5:25-8:14 when Longstreet was talking about fighting against friends he fought alongside with during the Mexican War but yet can't fight against his home state of Georgia (even though he swore an oath to the Union years before), you can feel his angst in this scene, and Lee's speech about "soldiering has one great trap" and you feel for Lee as well. Hope my comment was good enough for a few thumbs up :)
Bloody he'll they've actually given him a china teacup. Deep voiced southern being followed around by a flouncing stereotype.

@KYExtemper Sorry, Picketts charge never came close! They never had a chance. Way too many Yankees in reserve if needed.

John Bell Hood was 32 years old at the battle of Gettysburg ,
The actor playing him must be close to twice his age
