The Children of the Israel returning and repenting to the Most High. The Sheperds are playing charades. Oh Lord, how long will you suffer the people to be confused by the wicked hearts? Not long
this is very reavealing video of the state of our "so-called" black leadership, putting on another clown show. Getting together quoting bible verses and cliches aren't cute anymore. You have at the table some of the most educated black people in america together and not one plan was laid out to acheive or tackle anything for black folks. I also notice during the Q and A part, they all blew off the man representing the Green Party. They're full of BS!!

these bitches are just sellouts. all they know to do is get popular of Black problems. March and make a good speech and drive in limos. Fuck off all you integrationist anti Black sellouts. That said there is no reason to partner with African states when Blacks have little power and independence. Where are the African Nations reaching out to Blacks in Americas last time my family had contact with Africa it was an African selling him to a white slave owner.
Thank you for your comments. If you were shown Africans and African Americans partnering to improve the conditions in black communities in the US and in Africa, what would you say?
@AfriSynergy I would say great. And if that could be on a wider scale great but I feel like if africa isnt free why look to africa and not free yourself where you are before you begin to try and get to africa which is so integrated with the European oppressors
My friend, therein is the problem with the thinking of most Blacks of the Diaspora. They believe they are not free and must be free before partnering with Africa. For decades, we Blacks in the USA have earned more than all but nine nations in the world. We must not continue with the defeatist attitude of can't do, and wont do. Some fail because they are ignorant and don't first do their homework.
West African nations are quite integrated with Europe but not all.
Of course, many people means many ideas and feelings. To dismiss what is and will always be a part of you is not wise. "Black issues" in the US will never be solved until you reach out to that from which you came and they reach out to you. Others who are not your complexion continue to become wealthy exploiting throughout Africa. With more than 900 billion yearly in earned income, we do quite well. Now it must be leveraged.
@AfriSynergy and aren't africans participating assisting these foreigners in exploiting africa. I mean capturing people to sell to them for nearly four hundred years. When did Africa not realize that such a relationship would hurt them? The only thing I have seen come from Africa is brainwashed chistian preachers coming to our island preaching what the slave masters used to try and take our African spirituality and culture away. Two lost people cant reach out and accomplish anything.
Sure, some participated just as some participate today in oppressing Blacks in Africa, Jamaica, USA and elsewhere. That is not where the focus should be. Africa has paid for its sins, or should we believe in "eternal punishment" for them? I do not believe we are lost. Let's cut to the chase. Travel with us to Burundi in August. I believe in doing and less talking.
@AfriSynergy I want to buy land in Africa, and employ my people there and in Amerikkka. I do not have much, but what I go, like a few seeds I can make it grow. All I need is the chance and the right people to contact. I am SICK & TIRED of having to deal with socalled white real estate agencies in Africa with their OVER THE MOON prices. The average house or small farm is OVER EXPENSIVE for the every day African in U.S. or anywhere else. Unless ur Oprah or Will Smith.
Sis, if you haven't done so, please look at the videos on "Why We Must Partner With Africa" and also "Operation Burundi". You already know why we must do this but you can also play a part in the upcoming trip to Burundi, however, big or small. Small is much when you know what to do with it. We will also do a video documentary while in Burundi. Youth will also accompany us to Burundi, you can help sponsor, if not going yourself.
@mrsmith2010, I'm not hear to debate, what Pres Obama needs to do. I'm about people of color, taking initiative, where the continent of Africa is concerned. People of color, we've got bigger business to deal with, aside from expecting "the leader of the free world" to do A, B, and C for us. Quit looking behind, and look forward.
These panelist are mad because Obama is dealing w/the race issue HIS WAY & NOT THEIR WAY. Yet, Obama IS taking care of the race issue in the new form it's in: SYSTEMATIC & ECONOMIC.
For instance, Obama took care of the banks & housing crises; health care; & made sure student's got more money for grants & loans, not the banks.
These issues Obama has taken on, trust me, have effected black people more than other races. Can these panelist do better than Obama? I don't think so.
This State of the Black Union Address might be taken seriously IF these panelist stopped looking for Obama, or any pres. as a "savior" to heal the racial woes, and/or ANNOUNCED openings of black hospitals, schools & businesses. But no, b/c it's easier to sit there & run their mouths.
I believe w/ all the pressure Obama has, he's doing the best he can & must be careful not to get into the racial fray: that's exactly what his critics WANT so they can marginalize & minimize him & his agenda.
I especially liked the one where you mentioned the methodologies of how Obama is addressing the Black Agenda by, mostly, cutting the banks out of the student loan equation, health care, and education. Good job!
It saddens me that these "educated" panelist can't see and appreciate the quiet, subtle, genius of Obama. There ideas of dealing w/racism, to use your word, is so ANTIQUATED & ass-backwards.
Quite frankly, I believe these silly State of the Black Union Addresses are more for SHOW, with absolutely nothing new to TELL.
That's good to know that Tavis Smiley's State of the Black Union has been discontinued. I hope the same will hold true for any future "impromptu events" he may have in store.
SHOCKING: Dr. Dyson doesn't know OBAMA IS NOT THE FIRST BLACK PRES? J.A. Rogers' book "The Five Negro Presidents: According To What White People Said They Were." ISBN#0-9602294-8-5, list those w/ black blood: Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamiliton, Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln, Lincoln's V.P., Hannibal Hamlin, Warren G. Harding. Rogers doesn't list the 5th black pres. b/c "there's no published research on his ancestry..."(13). Some say Richard M. Nixon & J. Edgar Hoover had black blood in them.
Partnership with Africa is a great idea. Partnership with all oppressed peoples and nations is a good idea. The problem is that the oppressed don't control their own resources. We must first get back that which is rightfully ours before we can talk about trading that which we don't control. Why doesn't Mr. Obama talk about a partnership with Africa or a redistribution of resources and not wealth? Mr. Obama is Sampson. He has taken a hair cut on his principles, his strength. He still has time.
It is inaccurate that the oppressed do not control their resources. It is true that much of the resources are not controlled, however, that has changed in a number of nations. Examples, Venezuela, Iran, etc. but the battle continues. The biggest challenge is getting those of us who are outside of Africa with expertise and capital to partner with Africa. What if the Chinese had take the approach that Europeans control Africans resources? It would not be the biggest investor there.
@AfriSynergy Native Americans and Blacks are the most oppressed people on Earth and neither control their resources. The IMF owns vast amounts of land in Africa. People in the U.S. must pay property tax on land they so-called "own". As far as Obama, he is the head of the nation, if he starts the ball rolling we will not let it stop.
The IMF has been forced to writeoff some of what it owns in Africa and elsewhere. The focus must be on us doing. Have you been to any nation in Africa yet? If not, why not? The average black person in America have not been and have no desire to go. Others go and they "conquer", they establish contracts and business. Remember the words, "I came, I saw, I conquered" by Julius Caesar? Europeans do this. What are we doing?
Obama is only part of the equation but we are the ones who must do the footwork. This means establishing the partnerships in Africa and then forcing barriers to fall that will allow certain resources to enter the US and elsewhere through Black partnerships, not the Zionist controlled and manipulated Wall Street.
@mrssmith2310, why does President Obama, NEED to partner, the people of color, of these United States, that NEED to partner. Why do we need someone to stand in front of us, before we can do anything? It's not the job of one man.
@Papillonmuscogee Your right , it's not one person's job. All of us, white/black/brown/etc, need to come together for a common cause, JUSTICE and EQUALITY. But Obama is the so-called leader of the free world, 97% of blacks voted for him, it's time for a return on our investment. The banks got theirs, gays got theirs, Israel ALWAYS will get theirs. Do you think MLK would stand for this?
@moebigsley1976, what we NEED, is to appeal to those "conscious-pro black/african millionaires, philanthropists and industrialists. I believe they are out there, we have to seek them out, in order to unite for one purpose. We can't get anywhere going in 20 diff directions. We have to unite. Campaign, if you will.
Umm, is it so hard for a bunch of black millionaires to start up coffee, rubber, diamond, gold, etc companies. This would help the whole African Diaspora. We would be as wealthy as kingdoms!
why are blacks like you existing to destroy what little black progression that we have. I am not a muslim, however, I would rather have NOI than nothing at all.
People who were expecting Obama to be some sort of savior for the black community really don't have a clue, just look at the people he surrounds himself with. Jews use blacks to sell their communist agenda. They did the same thing in South Africa. Also, here is a good video with Dyson in it /watch?v=dlLD91qI6xg
