  • I've been riding sport bikes for about 3 years daily (600 supersports). When a rider tucks, usually it is not for performance reasons, its because WIND IS ANNOYING, loud, and can buffet you so bad that you may potentially lose control of the bike. Having your frontal body exposed to 80mph-180mph winds is dangerous when you are trying to control the bike. Im sure performance is increased, probably not by much.

  • @sonicnofadz on my ybr 125 i hit 60 then struggle when i tuck in at 60 it can get to 7-80mph obviously the speedo isnt right but you can see how much it does improve speed.

  • thats cute

  • why is the guy on the 250 tucking??? i highly doubt wind resistance is going to be that much of a factor on a 250 going 40 mph lol

  • @airforceranger48 Wind resistance on a 250r is a major factor with the smaller engine. He made it to 100 way before that Jetta did.

  • @airforceranger48 regardless of speed I tuck when I forget to put my visor down, it feels good sometimes, but the other times the wind hitting my face is annoying.

  • @airforceranger48 beleive it or not it does , If I tuck in my 250 r I can get about another 10 mph top speed and I will get about a free 5 mph just by tucking , I am sure you get better MPH too !

  • @airforceranger48 obviously you don't know much about physics. on a car, if you just put your front windows down your force of air friction goes way up. you can lose up to 5 mpg. so by tucking on a motorcycle, you will get a much better friction ratio so that you can go faster more quickly and also get better gas mileage.

  • @MrJng1717 obviously you don't know much about bikes... cuz tucking on a ninja 250 is really not needed... it doesn't have enough power to make tucking useful. usually it's only useful at 100+ mph

  • @airforceranger48 knowledge of physics > knowledge of bikes. tucking at any speed decreases wind resistance, therefore creating more speed and better fuel mileage. either way you wanna look at it, tucking helps reduce wind resistance. get an education.

  • @MrJng1717 actually i'm very well educated... and yes, technically tucking does lower wind resistance, but my point is this... with the size of the engine on the ninja 250, and the weight of the bike, tucking doesnt lower drag enough to really be noticeable, and thus, is pointless in this particular situation... and the whole "rolling your windows up increasing you MPG" that you posted about, has been disproven time after time after time... so i now have to call your intelligence into question.

  • All this time and what did they hit 60? LMAO

  • @CMI1986X64 no, im saying that from neutral if you pull straight back you go into 4th. I already siad that if you pull back from 1st you go into 2nd.

  • @CMI1986X64 usually straight back on manual cars is 4th gear. straight back from 1st is 2nd, but then you're going to be pulling back and to the left.

  • @germankid93 read this as....with a 6 speed transmission. 5 speed transmissions on VW vehicles require you to move the know to the right and down....reason being that on some models you need to push the shift know physically down, and into were first gear would be to get to reverse....anyone familiar with VW's would know that

  • @anarchic9 all 6-speed transmissions require moving the knob* to the right and down to get to 6th gear. I know you have to push the knob physically down to access reverse, but that doesn't change where 1st gear is. Trust me, my last car was a MKIV 1.8T. Also, Jetta IIIs are 5-speeds, so all that incorrect info is useless.

  • I love how they race at the break of dawn when there's no police.. Than again the cops would look at this shit wondering, "why are these jackass filming each other going 75mph? Isnt that the speed limit?"

  • Comment removed

  • The 250 rider isnt wearing gloves ><

    and u muted the video

to me that impleys you didnt miss second gear.

and try racing a bike thats not for learners ?

  • lol your a total newb losing to a 250

  • You should learn to shift before racing bikes haha.

  • dude wtf.. why didnt you re-film it with no missing gear?

  • Filmed with a spoon.

  • How the fuck did you miss 2nd.

  • @pimpjuice8921573 Glad I wasn't the only person thinking that.........

  • Unless this Ninja is tuned then it wasn't 10-100 as the Ninja 250 tops at 95. Rename to 10 - 95 please.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod i have gotten mine to 103(on gps). but it took a long time to get there

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod No it doesn't. If you had one that tops out at 96 it was worn out. They will do 110-115mph when in good running order.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Modded maybe, Stock.... not a chance in hell.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Not modded Ninja 250s have been roadtested repeatedly at well over 100mph.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod SO you should really check your comments for accuracy before you criticize someone else's comment. I can supply any number of road test thatt show top speeds of around 110mph from Ninja 250s.

  • @Scootertuner1000 I am going off of the 2010. Apperently they changed something between 09 and 10 because there is no way in hell my 2010 will get 110. I give a shit what someone says on a road test when I can get on an open stretch and figure it out myself.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Ever since they came out back in 86 they have been hitting around 110mph. Perhaps you are not crouching and tucking in or are not going into the red. You might not "give a shit" but it doesn't make it any less true. It just means either there is something not quite right with your bike or you are not the rider you think you are.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Lets see, get it to 6th gear and old the throttle until it doesnt go any faster..... dont see how that has anything to do with riding ability. Go hop on your scooter pussy.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Wow, you don't like being wrong do you. I have had more bikes than you have had hot dinners. I have had anything from a Honda50 to a Honda CBX1000 Turbo. Resorting to insults when you can't win an argument just shows how weak your argument is in the first place. Do you want more proof?

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod No real argument? You can't ride, simple as that.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Again another test at 110mph. Copy and paste into your url line and push it all back together.

  • @Scootertuner1000 "Ever since 1986 when the first Ninja 250R was launched, Kawasaki proved to have the right recipe and the bike was happy showing it each time it reached the top speed of 110 mph relying only on 25 horsepower and that six-speed tranny." Its talking about older models. Do you not notice where you can "post your top speed". That isnt a road tested speed, that is compiled by people bragging. If you dont have the smae bike you should just quit. Not everything on the inernet is true.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Look at some of the other tests, they all give a top speed of 110mph from 86 all the way through till now. Are you going to completely ignore the other tests, including ,Motorcycle News test? You're wrong dude, face it. Own your comment and the fact that it is wrong.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod It is not a number made up by people bragging.

  • Want more proof?

  • @Scootertuner1000 "(In actual instrumented testing at 2500 feet on level terrain, the CBR managed 87 mph.)" "But it is getting a lot of work done: Its extra top-end power helps the Ninja sprint through the quarter-mile a half-second quicker, reach a 6-mph-faster top speed and, most importantly, run 0-60 mph 0.8 of a second quicker." 87 + 6 = 93 Im pretty sure Cycle World is a reliable source.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod That top speed attained after a quarter mile drag race, not the top speed. You have elapsed time and top speed (meaning top speed attained on the 1/4 mile. I would say that's very accurate, but it is not the top speed but the elapsed time and top speed over a 1/4 mile. Got anything more?

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod European model really. How many articles and videos do I have to post of the USA model going 110mph before you will accept that you were wrong.

I have not been proven wrong by anyone, least off all Cycle News who top speed tested it on the LA Freeway, comeone really? That's not how you top speed test a vehicle. • @Scootertuner1000 Did you read the cycle world article? Do you have a Ninja 250? Obviously that a no to both. You have been proven wrong. Get on your scooter and stop trolling.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Yes I read it and yes I used to have a 250 Ninja. So yes to both. The only top speed test cycle world did was 95 on the LA Freeway at 10k rpm. I have supplied test after test & video after video of the 250 Ninja all at around the 110mph mark and one at 118mph (admittedly the fuel injected Euro version) Have you read any of the tests I linked you to or the videos. How can you still be arguing. If anyone is the troll it is you. I have supplied way more evidence than you.

  • @Scootertuner1000 The 10k rpm was stated for the CBR, not the Ninja. Read the whole thing, not just skim through it. It was stating that the 1/4 mile time was faster, not that it reached 93 in the 1/4. Most of your videos are either moddified 250s or older models which once again proves you wrong. If you're stupid enough to believe that the FI wont be much faster than a carb'd bike then you are obviously too stupid to understand and are just arguing to argue. Fuck off troll.

  • @Scootertuner1000 You have posted no evidence, only objective points of view with modified and different year models. Cycle World > You

Once again, you ride scooters and troll the internet, leave the bikes to me.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod Read the fucking tests I posted and watch the videos, far far more evidence than you have supplied. I am really done with you. There's no point arguing with you. You would argue black is white. You have some kind of serious mental disorder.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Videos of bikes that are modded are irrelevant. Test ofbikes of different years and models are irrelevent. Stock 2010 Ninja 250R tops at 95ish. Get over it scooter fag.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod You just can't ride dude or your bike is not running right.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Are all Canadian scooter riders as stupid as you? Get a motorcycle. Until then STFU.

  • @ImTheVoiceOfGod I am not Canadian. I have three motorcycles, two scooters, a home made diesel powered Jawa that I built myself, a home made moped I built myself. I have a North Carolina motorcycle license, a German motorcycle license and an English one. Wow, you really are something of an idiot aren't you.

I think it is you who needs to STFU, you fucking retarded cunt nugget. I am done with you. Anyone reading our conversation will see what a cunt you've made of yourself.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Yup, even though I am the only one that has posted reliable information for a non-bias source.

  • missing 2nd gear is like tripping up the stairs, only fucking retards do it

  • @GixxerMPH its a 250 dumbass

  • Lmfao how the fuck do you miss 2nd gear?

  • @iKnollex the car missed 2nd gear. probably went from 1st to 4th. not hard to do when you're focussed on the bike next to you instead of driving like this battler was.

  • @dilligaf1942 Yeah I know... I wasn't asking literally how did he miss 2nd gear, I asked how the fuck do YOU miss 2nd gear when it's literally just a slide down from 1st...

  • to all you that think you vw turbos are better than hondas you got to see what a tubo k20 does to a gsxr 100

  • thats one slopoke ass jetta lol

  • how the fuk you miss a gear? lol people under pressure cant do shit these days

  • I bet that jetta wouldn't beat a fully tuned ninja 250 or a AMA racing 250cc sport bike

  • lol it took all that time to get to 100mph? my 750 gets to 100mph in about -8 secs

  • Dude people need to stop fucking with bikers

    Let them have fun

  • I would rape Both the Truck and The Ninja with my YZ125....Both are SLOW AS SHIT...but the 250 is a great dalily Rider.

  • If you get beat by a Ninja 250 you know you have one pathetically slow car. Damn!

  • lol top speed of a 250 is 100mph....of course your going to beat him....he hit 100 mph and you kept accelerating! lol

  • idk why yall r talking about tucking the car was clearly just beat like a bitch end of story

  • get an rs 125 !!!

  • Top speed of a stock 250r is about 100mph. Some modifications can get it to 110mph. The 250r is about handling, not acceleration, like the Lotus Elise, which is a rather slow car.

  • @mikecronis Ehhh, you can get the ninja 250 to 110 stock. I have. Might just be the fact that I weigh like 110 though. x.x

  • @CircleSaturday 110 mph on ninja 250 = speedometer error .

  • @soulerflare7 No top speed is 110 on a ninja 250, but gets lower more you weigh. But its good for 32 hp

  • @mikecronis there is no way a 250r can only do 100... i've had mine to 105 without trying.

  • @vdubpowered your speedo must be adding 5-10mph because if you watch any other videos the ninja will do around 100

  • @razten95 hows it add speed to the tach if it reads off the front wheel?

  • @vdubpowered this is a common issue with the ninjas :) many people have the problem and to prove it they used a gps and the speedo in fact does add on 5mph or so

  • @razten95 I have a hand held radar , I am going to test this and get back .

  • how do you miss 2nd lolz its the easiest gear to go into hahaha besides man thats a beginner bike

  • what is the top speed of a 250

  • @jbsoriginality

    95mph

  • @cyborgdan1337 Are u serious

  • Natually the bike would win from a 10-100mph roll easily but u can tell the jetta missed 2nd gear. I have an 01 a4 turbo and id spank that 250...

  • you dont know how far you can really tuck until you've ridden when its below 30

  • @Remington870xmag Amen to that, def. been out there in 15-20*F weather @ 60mph, you'll find yourself more curled up around the gas tank than you knew was possible.

    As for the vid...wanna race my R1? O.o :-P.

  • @MrSlowestD16 same for me, I remember one night on my 05 R1 it was 18F out and I didnt want to go more than 35mph. But atleast that bike runs hot, my old 200cc dirt bike I took everywhere, and IN the snow. Rode that bitch like a snowmobile.

  • @COD4SNIPER2 Yeah, funny how you curl up around that engine, lmao. I love our gen R1, it's so beautiful, best looking bike IMO.

Not sure what the coldest I've been out in, but it's colder than I've cared for, definitely been having trouble making the decision for how much time to spend out there (how slow to go) vs how fast I could go without freezing to death, lol.

  • Bike won

  • in my opinion the bike has one. it looks like the rider wasnt on the throttle. he probably already hit 100.

  • just out of curiosity what did you season the gear with. maybe consider switching to a different set of spices will make your car go faster.

  • why didn't you start from 0 km h? maybe you had fear that a small 250 could kick your ass? in my opinion, the bike has won!

  • LOL!! - missed second gear? - yeh right :) - Your getta takes what, 12 seconds to get to 60mph? - the 250r does it in 5-6. You only over took the 250r because you eventually went over his top speed of around 110mph.

  • Yeah its also a 250... I mean I ride an 500R and it would put any Jetta to shame even with a bad driver on it.

  • now why would you post a video of you missing second. why not just rerace...

  • lol the title says "10 to 100" and the bike walked you all the way to 100...but the car passes him at 120 and claims he beat the biker...lol what a slow car..come try my 250r, ill do a willie the whole time pointing and laughing at you as a fly past..lol

  • @Mr2008ninja250r dude, stop talking shit. with a full exhaust and pods you won't get more than 4whp and you still won't get under 6.5 secs to 100km/h. even with keihin CR 31 roundslide carbs you won't be beating anything on a highway, unless its a jetta or golf diesel. ninja 250 does 0-100km/h really well. After 120 it begins to accelerate fairly slowly. it won't go more than 180, even with sprocket changes and all the mods mentioned, it just doesn't have the power to overcome the air friction

  • haha the bike got owned

  • @brazzr ya but you have to remember thats pretty much the smallest engine size you can get on a motorcycle. so that was pretty impressive

  • @brazzr how? the whole vid were looking at his taillight dumbass

  • @Mr2008ninja250r haha the dumass here is u. i was joking around. now the jokes on u

  • My 250 09 goes 95 max I tried so many times to try making 100 but it just won't. You can't complain though 250 were made for learning not for speed and performance.if u want performance go 600 and up

  • @REGO02 get mods and you will see your self well past 100

  • come ooooonnn. hes driving a 2."slow" jetta its not even a GLI...

poor riding, poor driving and poor video

  • 250 are fun and good to learn on but that's about it . If ya realy want to pull ahead and stay there your gonna need something bigger . 650 or more ......

  • @Herbymac0811 Or a 1000...I had a r6 and it was ok, but my 1k is f'ing AWESOME.

  • ninja 250s cant even go 100 mph lol so gl

  • @pobsybassen

thats funny cause if gotten to 100 on my ninja 250

  • @pobsybassen what kind of 250 are you driving

  • I fell asleep before the race was over . . . .

  • If that was a drag race, you would've lost.

    If that was a stoplight-to-stoplight race...you would've lost.

If it was a 0-60 race...guess what! You would've lost.

And you missed second gear? Get the fuck out. You're either covering up the loss or you're the worst driver ever.

  • @seanofthedead90 Lmfao.

  • the camera operator in this vid sounds like a 110 lb homo.

  • Haha "missed second gear" excuses!

  • as far as i can remember a jetta is using a normal H pattern not a dog leg first...so...how can u miss second?

  • the ninjas top speed is about 114 stock so, in my opinion the bike whooped the jettas ass

  • wow is that some kind of 'supercar' ?? I mean,it beat a 250cc bike ....whoa !! (I wonder how you'd do against my zx10?)

  • How do you miss second? I mean its straight back

  • How the hell do you miss 2nd gear?

  • shuheet I'm more tucked in sitting in my lazyboy watching tv. and learn to no clutch shift. It's not hard just give it a try it'll slip right in if you do it at the right time while letting off the throttle. I'm not just talking, I got same bike in black.

  • SYXXB13 is completely right. Look through the windshield....not over it. I do this on my 250 when on the freeway and you notice that the air goes over you instead of hitting your chest/helmet

  • ninja 250's aren't built for a long straight race. acceleration and cornering are it's specialty. i love mine.

  • HAHAHAHH " shit wer lozin ketch hiss ass"

  • WOW YOU BEAT A 250 TWIN. LOL

  • I could get a ninja 250 up to 100 before he hit 60!

  • @jeffmoto72 really depends on the riders weight, if he is heavier the top speed wont even be 100 unless he has some little mods like a bigger 15 tooth sprocket instead of a 14 and such, but its likely that the ninja would still win XD

  • A good rider on a ninja 250 can hit 100 within 30 seconds, so the bike was definitely maxed out or very close to it. Of course the car will beat it, it just has to play the waiting game and wait until the little ninja is at top speed.

  • oh yea sorry a high 14 second bike beat your high 17 sauerkraut of a car

  • 14 second? 8 with an average rider on it and 6.5 with a pro rider, search the videos on youtube you'll see that'is no joke. Ninja 250r hasn't high top speed but the 0 to 100 is quicker than most of the cars which have less than 200hp. And it's plenty fast for a new rider.

  • 14 second bike=time for 1/4 mile(400 meters time)

  • Also, 250r's arent made for much above 90.

Das Jetta ist Deutsche...made for Autobahn. GOES above 110.

  • yeah a full tuck will make a difference . and the driver of the car and bike are youngsterz at driving . no offense . some people just aint born to drive .

  • the rider looks a lil too big for the bike. thats why he cant tuck all the way.

  • any1 can perform a full tuck. this bike accomodates riders up to or just over 6 ft. and any can if they TRY

  • Get your torso down against the gas tank, keep your elbows and knees in tighter, etc.

  • Carsnwommen is 100% right. I gain 25mph indicated from going from the upright position to tucked in going 80-105mph indicated on a windy day on my 98 250. The shifting could have been done nearly twice as fast.

  • look up full tuck position on google, or would u like me to do a video? ur only mad cause u can find second gear, which is the easiest gear to shift after 1rst. by the way, my comment is rated +3 and SYXXB13 describes how to full tuck. no, i'm not jewish, "i threw them down the well so my country can be free" lol. get back to me on what u'd like. i'll even make a video on how to shift into second as well.

  • yes make a vid :D get back to me

  • who the hell are u? lol

  • LMAO RANDOH!!!

  • +4 now and +3 for this one

  • @carsnwomen91

I find first is the hardest...

  • @carsnwomen91 <3 you win the masculinity contest.

  • @golden290 yessss!

  • @carsnwomen91 borat :)

  • @carsnwomen91 So my country can be freeeeee, so my country can be free!!!

  • let me guess your special needs right ?

  • rider seems like a rookie, tuck in more (makes a HUGE difference with this bike especially) acquire quicker shift skills, just my 2 cents.

driver is a dumbass... how do u miss 2nd?!? its a pull straight down after steppin on the clutch! how stupid are u?

  • Lmao you can tuck in more your looking over the windshield and not through it, pull your elbows agensed your bike and your chin on the tank scoot back on your seat and lay down. the wind will go over you instead of creating a pesky drag, that bike is light and is greatly affected in the wind...if you havent cought on to that already.

  • @carsnwomen91 Face it dude, some people don't have your serious skittles.

  • @carsnwomen91 not right down, unless its a 6 speed which a jetta III def won't have.
