  • Iv lived in charlottetown all my life my mom works in city hall and i just hang out there

  • I see that Africans and Indians are starting to move to Charlottetown. Dont worry, it will start to look like Toronto pretty soon and you will have all the same multi cultural crime, welfare etc. Pity, it is such a nice place, to bad about its future. I also saw a firm CGI dising the Holland College and PEI graduates and saying that they are going to recruit in India for employees. Sad but this will happen even more in the future.

  • very fanny the music you choice. Do you now what it's?

  • @isat2009 it's a jazz standard song called 'wave'

  • @Octoberpunk From Brasil, thats my point, far far away from Charlottetown. This music talks about the waves from Ipanema/Rio de janeiro.

  • the double Decker buses aren't like that anymore. they are now topless

  • oh sorry I deleted a comment by accident!

  • I moved to charlottetown last summer, so I'm writing from charlottetown right now!!, haha, It gets really boring here if you have nothing to do, I often wish to move to a bigger city, like Toronto, but Its VERY safe here, Most of the time, like compared to Toronto its like 1 to 100 000!

  • hahaha I know eh? It is very safe (you may hear the firetrucks/cop cars sound once a year.) I moved to Toronto 2 years ago from Charlottetown and I like it so much here although there are so many shootings/homicides these days. Get to try the foods from so many cultures gets me excited! :)

  • I just about to move out of Charlie'town meself :D

It such a neat and quanit little place though. A little gnome city among the trees.

  • lol i dont think your cat likes to get its picture taken. i love Charlottetown

  • well the cat didn't actually like Camera at all lol

i love Charlottetown too but not to live :p

  • I'm moving to Charlottetown really soon and I'm scared! haha. So far, the things I've seen and heard about it are good, but I'm still nervous for a new place and all that junk, lol.

  • oh... I used to live in Charlottetown, 2006 to 2007, exactly one year. To be honest with you, I don't recommend any young people to live at there.

It's nice play to just tour around but not to live. The public transportation, buses - 5 routes I guess? - which have 2 hours of cycle so own a car is a must. Downtown.... I'm not sure if I can call it 'Downtown'. There're only two malls in Charlottetown. (One in Downtown the other one at near UPEI)

  • ah, can I ask you why you moving to Charlottetown?

  • My boyfriend is going to Holland College for two years. He's already been cooking for 6 years and it's pretty much what he's meant to do, lol. Why not get the papers and make more money ya know?

    Now I'm really scared, hahaha.

  • oh yes cooks make lots of money and extremely busy on summer time especially in PEI. Summer in PEI is really nice. You should check out Summerside, Murray Harbour and Cavendish.

Beaches in Cavendish are really beautiful - red-coloured rocks -. Don't worry too much, there's nothing to worry. The Island is so peaceful place that it's hard to hear sirens once a year lol

  • btw, if you like some Asian food, it's really hard to find - i saw only one Asian market. There're just a few Chinese restaurant(they're in downtown), one Sushi restaurant(same), and one Korean restaurant(the mall near UPEI).

Well.. it might boring living in there but so peaceful :) now i live in Toronto and sometimes i miss Charlottetown because of its general peaceful mood lol

  • Haha, that sucks about the Asian food. Also, we have no car, so I'm pretty sure we won't get to Summerside too much. If ever, lol. One thing I have to say about Charlottetown though, is that they have CHEAP rent. I'm looking forward to that part. And also, I hear the job availability is outrageous. I think the thing that will bore me is the fact that I don't have a hobby to keep me occupied and there's nothing I'm interested in, haha.

  • yes, they have cheap rent, really cheap.

well, i'd only studied at there so i really don't know any job availablity but good luck :)

and you should try the lobsters :p it's cheap in the island.

if you buy lobsters from any harbour, they cost like $6.. lawl

i'm telling you that you should make any hobby to keep yourself occupied.. otherwise it'd be really boring in the island. i bet sometimes you'd feel like to just get out of the island someday lol good luck :) let me know how's the living

  • in the island :p
