@John11inch Yes, it was comissioned by the National Danish Television - it was supposed to be filmed, with theatrical elements. But he died before they managed to complete it. The recording is actually tapes that they recorded/made in the studios and Christou put them together. There are is a few material missing (mainly prerecorded tapes of sounds).
@bogorzelak It is suggested by the composer that the text should be read on the language where the concert takes place (the same applies on Anaparastasis I)
@bogorzelak because the premiere was given in Copenhagen. The text in ancient Egyptian but Christou has stated that all texts in his works must be read/spoken in the language of the audience.
it is amazing how far the human imagination can go, and even more amazing how many possibilities music can give us to exercise it.
