wow..felt good to listen to this, i think your questions were well chosen and universally aplicable and brendons's answers articulate and honest..as a northamerikan living in catalonia for the past 30 years i can heartily identify emotionaly and also strongly agree with your advise to students' immersing themselves in all sorts of english activities..especially ones that are FUN for them (independent of the language value) and of course asking LOTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT EVERYTHING
Awesome :) I've always wanted to visit New Zealand... But I'd LOVE to live in Japan, or at least go to school there. I'm planning on taking a bunch of Japanese classes in college, starting next semester. Whew! :P I've heard that it's pretty difficult to become a permanent resident in Japan if you are a citizen of another country, which is very sad news for me :(
Yeah, I think it's not easy because they don't really want foreigners living here (in general). Still, it is possible, so don't give up hope if that's what you really want to do!

This guy is a really good speaker, and told some interesting stuff as well! What is NOVA btw?

NOVA was one of the biggest English language schools in Japan. It went bankrupt last month.
