hey bro. sick kit. quick question. what brand of double effect pedals are they? their not sonor giant steps. but are they cannons? because im thinking about buying cannons. or if anyone else knows....im trying to find the cheapest (but still good) double effect pedal
Hi mate nice set up!! just a question. I gather you can set up a kit with 2 x original electronic kits as you have done. I was going to use 2 x Legacy DD501 Electronic sets to get the double kick drum set up. cheers
It looks cool but i think its worthless to have like eight toms, i think a five piece and four cymbals (2 crash,1 high hat, and 1 ride) is good enough.
Hey... i see that you used alesis ... please write, I have some questions :).... Oh, and if any one knows something about them too, and has suck set too :)
Unlike others I found this to be a very informative video I do have one question can you use pretty much any trigger pad or cymbal trigger pad with these kits?
What's the point in the foot pedal bracket... you should actually learn how to CONTROL the swinging and use it to your advantage... That would be more helpful in any case because one day if you're called out and you have to play on someone else's kit, you'll wish you learned.
dude, fuck what ever these noobs say, i mean this is an amazing kit youve got, i mean since youve done a lot of stuff by yourself, this is pretty damn sick! great job!
I currently have a bigger kit 45 pieces and had a bigger kit that my current. 53 pieces which was six alesis DM pro kits. and a few roland pieces. video to follow.
omg god bless you for the whole shittyitems^^ buy something what sound good and don't put the "machinegun" alesis together with the "omg i suck" Yamaha^^...
why you need so much toms you don't can play it...^^
to much technology/ ill stick with the better acoustic. and if i were you i would take passion in my music and play the acoustic set where the whole apartment could hear it.
Hey Quadbassblaster! Im sort of new to drumming been taken lessons for a while and it is now time to buy a drum set just not sure what to get acosutic or electronic any suggestions? thanks :)
@xJonezey789x I am not a drummer, but I think you might want to take my opinion into account.
Well, if you have no trouble with bothering your neighboors go all the way for an acoustic. If not, an electric is your best choice. If you need more info on why you should do it that way, tell me to PM you :)
why do yo guys spend so much money on electric sets. yeah there great for not bothering the neighbors and stuff, but why not buy a crapy electric kit then a nice acoustic. im not judging im just wondering.
@Raygos30 I can tell you have never owned a nice electric kit.I played acoustic ludwig kit for years,Then I bought a roland TD 4 set and their great! I even use them live! Its freakin awesome! Set up is a breeze, and I can create a whole custom kit for each song! I currently use 6 different kits playing live and switch snares alot! I jupp back and fourth with BFD lite on my laptop and the roland sounds, and start loops with my alesis control pad, simple loops like tambourine, shakers, ect.
@Raygos30 Why not buy both a nice electric kit AND a nice acoustic kit? Or why not have a minivan, sports car, truck, AND SUV? Why not just own all of them?
@Raygos30 Ive owned 5pce and 9pce pearl and remo kits before.... I now use a roland td-9 with a few mods (check my channel if you like).
I find the roland kit to play is so realistic that with headphones on you forget youre playing an electric kit. Mesh heads feel the same. Yamaha? meh - mesh heads are the way to go. I can practice anytime , connect an ipod to jam along - something you cant do with an acoustic. Can also send out to PC and record audio for writing tracks. One word...versatility
i wasnt a fan of your videos eg machine head covers etc but this video is very impressive i think, in that it shows your dedication to making the ekit more than just some practise thing or used by a select type of artist. nice work, that's EXCELENT. excellent bucketlid-effect cymbal, i can imagine how it inspired you, and fuckoff any haters. still not sure i understand the quad pedal thing.
I have got a big problem panning the sound on the drums.. How can you connect it to a harddisk recorder, so that you can make a song??
exampel: My hi-hat is panned so most of the sound comes from the left speaker.. but when i connect it to my harddisk recorder all of the sounds comes from the middel..
one of my friends was talking about a double bass pad for an electric kit and i've been looking for one EVERYWHERE. he said it was flat like a door mat, anyone know where i can find one, or even know what im talking about?
I like this video alot! But the Ass in the middle just keeps getting in the way! I have to put this upload into my favorites and watch it again for the 100389th time! Thanks quadbassblaster. I've got something to keep me busy for next....Oh what the hell I might as well... Oppps! Got to go back to the water closet.
dude ur really creative!! lol anyway im pretty sure im not the first guy to ask this but can you connect two separate bass drum pads to a single trigger module??
@ramtin1001 .,.,thanx man....yaa ure not the first to ask that....ive had LOADS of tech qs before...but yes u can put 2 bass pads into one module, using a regular stereo splitter.
for months i used my roland td6 (this is several years ago) and i wasnt getting stereo output, and not just for my kicks but the whole kit cuz i was only using one lead (non-XLR). this seems obvious to the experienced but to the many out there who aren't in that position, it's very importnat in regards to getting a triger set sound right.
@queenmcsleaze ,.,.,both kicks are plugged into the right side modules bass drum input...yes they become mono,...but bass is always mono and not stereo anywayz. it comes out from the subwoofer which just fills the whole room with a big THUD or boom. the bass input on the left module has my splash plugged into it....gotta get AS MANY inputs free, if u wanna plug in many triggers and pads.
I would've just gotten a roland td 20
