Monty was 6 - 0 - 2 in his 8 career singles matches at the Ryder Cup. I agree with you about him not being able to win a Major, that would have been nice. He is probably the best golfer to never win a major. @sunshinealley

Monty is best Ryder Cup player I've seen in the past 2 decades or even more for that matter. But hes proven hes a world class choke artist in Majors. Not to mention hes a complete prick. He wouldn't play a ceremonial round with Ryder cup co-captain Cory Pavin because he doesn't want to talk tactics. No wonder nobody on wither side of the pond likes him. Hes a droopy, sloth-like, malcontent who treats the fans and writers like shit. (on both sides of the pond).
yeh he shoulda won at least 3 majors..he was just really unlucky..think about it you say he's not a major player well paul lawrie isn't a major winner in my opnion yet he won the open due to someone else fucking up..unfortunatley he couldn't quite finish it off for example us open 2006..but at least he lets us in for some drama instead of winning a major in really boring fasion eg zach johnsen or trever immelmon he is probably in my top ten golfers of all time.done everything except win a major

At the '95 PGA he hit 69 out of 72 greens (not even Tiger's managed that), so what are these "countless flaws" you're talking about?
Nicklaus's swing had countless flaws - it doesn't need to be perfect, just repeatable (eg. Furyk).
