@nsgevo89 That's way more than 50. I sit next to 233/234 in Kenova doing 40, and it is MUCH slower than that. Plus I saw 234 at track speed (about 55) in Wheelersburg, and it was alot slower than that too.

It depends on what part of the country. Different places have different laws on how the bell should ring.

Yeah, track speed is 60 miles per hour on this stretch. It's a great line to railfan.

It did sound like a rocket, now that I think about it. Speed on this line is 50 for coal and manifest, and 60 for intermodals.

Actually, that was a C40-8 and an SD60. :) I just wish the UP AC4400 or the NS C40-8 had been leading! :(
