wow, how time change; in the 70's and 80's, the grand ballroom was packed with over 1500 revelers; it was like rush hour on a crowded train; I bet they barely got 300-400 people; let's see if the waldorf still holds their gala in the grand-ballroom this year; still, I enjoyed seeing this, as a fan of the old Happy New Year America shows which usually broadcasted live from the waldorf; well, till Dec 31st, 2011-which will come before we know it!
